Not to be hypocritical, but some people seem to be too lazy to even read what I have written in red-colored letters above. I may not always have an interest in a particular conversation to answer within 24h. Besides, you yourself have taken your time with answering as well.

That being said, I'll bring it behind me:

You got me here with your text ("translate this") above

But "muh imperialism" seems to have i.a. worked better for Zimbabwe, formerly known as Rhodesia.

Yeah, learning is always good, but I often don't have time and interest to do so in-depth. Besides, I'm missing good recommendations and a good curriculum.

Those are intriguing key words and you're right, that lots of differences and issues stem from power-political reasons

You can say that there is nothing special about Mozart and Beethoven's music.

The first three are known, Smetana was the composer of the Moldau piece, Tchaikovsky something about spring. I have heard about Dvořák, but not abut Rachmaninoff.

Tolstoy is a famous Russian author, the other four don't ring a bell. But it's curious that you're using people of different Slavic cultures in one respective pot, while I restrict myself to those from German-speaking countries and don't even include Dutch artists.

I wasn't talking about high culture in sociological terms, I was talking about high culture in form of having an advanced and/or very influential civilization.

I suggest reading the book "Human Accomplishment".

I never said that the list was complete. Read the book above. Also, it doesn't mean that I cannot appreciate culture from other countries.

Erik Satie's Gymnopédie No.1 fits very well with Édouard Cortès's paintings.

There's still the theory about the Nemetes, though.

Have a nice day as well, and a great start in the next week!

No problem or more elaborately: "It's not a problem that you didn't know".
Noboru Aug 28, 2018 10:44 AM
Np and alright
Noboru Aug 28, 2018 10:24 AM
lol, is today "call Noboru day", again? Because I've received around 20 notifications and people, who haven't answered for some time, randomly pop up

The only thing I would be interested in our current conversation would be about:

There's many factors deciding how inventive and influential one culture will be.

Aside from that, it's up to the other person whether or not they want to continue with the respective string of conversation and it's up to both, whether or not new types of conversations can be started. I for my part attempt to reply to a conversation as much as possible, but there are times, when I feel too tired to continue them. Nevertheless, I will always read all messages addressed to me.

The countries turned more shit when in freedom, though.

I don't have any homework.

Like what?

Then you would have to explain why pretty much everyone knows about Mozart and Beethoven, but not necessarily about composers from other regions.

China, Japan, Italy and the UK.

Not a problem.

The first word could have come from the Germanic tribe of "Nemetes", though
Noboru Aug 15, 2018 1:27 PM
First message: not a problem. Killing someone for a political motive is what I would call "terrorism", though.

Second message: Tell me about the outstanding achievements of the Slavs. I didn't state they were bad; I just wrote that there was nothing special about them.

The second word (or is it a compound noun) doesn't seem to apply to me, since I still have a father and he has been being married with my mother since way before my and my brother's respective birth. I couldn't find out what "швапско" means. Google Translate suggested "swap", but I'm not sure how it is meant.

Interesting enough, "швапски", which looks the same except for the last letter, seems to refer to a Swabian, in a wider sense to a German and in figurative sense, someone who is precise.
