| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Why, why would they make an episode like this? What's the fucking point!? Like I know the second half is coming out today because this is the first part of a special, but still, why an episode completely comprised of other things that have come out in the last two months? (Episode of East Blue and whatever episodes were Sanji's backstory) I did really like the new opening though |

| There was absolutely no reason to make this an hour long special. This was worse than Naruto Shippuden's hour specials which were mainly just the camera panning closer to each character and lots of staring. I feel like I just trolled for 20 minutes. |

| Man, when there was no 3 minutes of recap after the new shitty opening, I almost questioned whether or not I was actually watching One Piece. Unfortunately, this was probably one of the worst episodes of this anime I've seen in a while. So many flashbacks, some to things we saw LAST EPISODE. Why are they flashing back to the baby Sanji stuff AGAIN? Why does this episode even exist? Such a pointless, infuriating 20 minutes. The animation was pretty bad as well. The new opening was probably the second worst of the entire show. The song is decent enough, but the animation is god awful and horribly paced, plus the animation doesn't really match the song that well at all. It's like Toei has just completely given up on quality, the bastards. |

| Hmm that's a little bit sad. I expected to see more from what will happen on Whole Cake Island. The recap with Zeff for sure is pretty emotional and I like it, but I'm not sure if this fits in any way for a special everyone was hyped for. How ever I'm curious to see what will happen between Luffy and Sanji. I know why Sanji is reacting like this. But we also know Luffy, he will never be satisfied with what Sanji said to him. I really like the new OP. It fits this arc very well and as an anime only watcher it hyped me so much more to see all these new characters I know nothing about >.< |

| Episode is titled Sanji cs. Luffy but there was to fight. Sanji kicked Luffy and that's it. And the episode is riddled with fucking flashbacks most of which were shown an episode or two ago. Based Toei. |

| No, seriously, fuck this episode. Normally I don't mind recaps/flashbacks that much, but this stuff happened literally like two episodes ago!! And then they show scene of Zeff cutting his leg off TWICE WITHIN LIKE 3 MINUTES ARGHH. Plus, title lied again], there was pretty much no Sanji vs. Luffy at all in this shit. Might be the first 1/5 I'm gonna give while rating anime episode, that's how annoyed I am. There were like 5 minuts of original content in it. And that's only if we count new opening as well xD Which, by the way, is freaking sweet, I love it already. Soooo much badass Sanji in it <3 |

| I took the effort to rewatch the entire anime just to save up dozens of episodes in the process (It was about 60 eps btw). Just like in dressrosa arc, nothing is happening in several episode's worth of watching time, sometimes the occasional flashbacks help, but the arc had too many silly moments already. Luffy keeps making the same mistakes again, making the story much less serious and they milk the whole anime over and over again with these long arcs. Can't help but to drop the rating after years of contemplation to 9/10 despite this is on of the best anime imo. I guess I'm cursed for my no-reading policy. |
