| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Man, some of the guys in this series are creeps. Glenn's expression of his hate for magic is evident so I'm guessing the series will explore more of that later on. Not much development this episode. Celica gives Glenn quite the tease though given someone of her personality. Action wise, I'm not really impressed. The ending gave me a small laugh though. ED card this week:  |

Im disappointed with the animation, well there really was no animation in that fight at all, bunch of still frames. Still tho Glen: What exactly is so great and useful about magic? Bitchy cat girl: Blah blah *magic is great* blah blah Glen: So where is it used? Bitchy cat girl: Blah blah magic blah blah Glen: Sorry sorry, I was kiddin, magic is great, its extremely helpful.... in killing people. Me: fuck.... you dont hear this shit in Fairy friendship tail. Shots fired at them kitty ears. Glen: *see's student tied up about to get raped* Sorry for the intrusion. Glen: Now I'll end this, with my magical punch! here it comes!!! *kicks* Rapist: Isnt that a kick? Glen: Thats what makes it magical. |

| GLENN RADARS.....YOU SIR ARE THE BEST MC I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME I am even more impressed by this guy than I already was after episode 1.....I LOVE the fact that even though he did what he did in this episode, the logic behind his ability still stays true to his philosophy of magic and his hatred for it (And his overall worthlessness since it works against him too lol) i.e. the complete nullification of it, hence his ideology of magic being useless unless you're using it to kill others And its not only that, what makes him even more interesting is that he was pretty much just like Rumia and Sisti when he was a kid, so it makes you wonder what could have happened to him that ended up making him become who he is today....And even though he's a hater, his understanding of it is just great because no, the writer isn't going to throw away Glenn's past interest, instead the writer is going to showcase just how far his love for it came and seeing him teach the class about his findings was just a joy to see and he deserves to be popular and respected for it Man it's tough nowadays to find a protagonist like this who doesn't have a beta personality to go along with him being a badass.....And what makes Glenn so cool is that his personality remained the same straight though, like this guy is just so funny and his sense of humor and dialogue is just so lovable.....Also, with this episode, I think it's safe to say that the best girl race is gonna be a touch competition between Rumia and Celica. Also, I respect Sisti a lot more now after finding out about her dream and grandfather, she was a lot better in this episode Overall this show continues to impress and I'm very excited to see what happens next (Also, I feel like that mage that saved Rumia in her flashback was Glenn lol) |

| Hm, so is Glenn's hidden OP ability, which we all knew he is going to have, just an AoE version of Imagine Breaker? Or does he have more tricks up his sleeve? I can't wait to find out :3 On a side note, that magical "punch" part somehow reminded me of Kore wa Zombie desu ka? (-Mysteltainn Kick! *swings chainsaw* -That's not a kick!) So far i'm digging this series, it seems cliché as hell but entertaining thanks to Glenn's antics. Series like these are mostly about characters for me. |

| It haven't reached the first 3 minutes of episode, but Sisti and Glenn already start their "confrontation". And this time, with Glenn's creepy face and explanation plus Sisti crying. This is just getting intense. So Glenn and Rumia really met in the past. RESPECT... Not for Glenn teaching about "chant manipulation" teaching method, but when he teasing the "White Cat". >_< |

| Very good episode. Glenn's hatred for magic is evident, but he's very smart about it. He completely schooled everyone in the class. He got more popular after that. It seems he was the one who rescued Rumia. Now she got taken by some people. His fight against that one guy was great. |

 I love that we're getting right into the thick of things rather than stalling a bit on the slower material. Glenn is already showing glimpses of his former "BOSS" self. The main battle in the next episode is going to be absolutely lit and I hope it gets animated pretty well. Can't wait! |

| I'm surprised. After pretty bad first episode it starts to turn out pretty nicely. It's nothing groundbreaking for sure but it does standard stuff the right way. Most cliches are there but in a way that doesn't make them too jarring. I think it might be my guilty pleasure of this season. |

| Nice episode. Was interesting seeing how riled up Glenn got with his argument with Sisti. Makes me even more interested in his past. His knowledge on magic was nice to see though. Loved how it went a little in-depth on magic there and hope it continues on with some explanations behind magic. Hoping it doesn't just dive straight into the plot and ditch the class setting already. Was pretty obvious too, but I guess Glenn and Rumia really did meet in the past once. | Good episode. I must say, every time I see them, these girl uniforms truly are awesome. XD Glen is a great MC, it's been a while since I saw a Magic School series with an MC as fun and interesting as Glen. @Tokoya pretty much summed everything I wanted to say about him. I absolutely loved it when he showed the class what true mastery of magic was with the lightning spell. The part where he talks about Magic being used to kill was savage , he basically shut up the entire class instantly. XD Glad to see Glen getting recognition in the school now. I'm calling Rumia being saved by Glen in the past as well. Thing escalated pretty fast with the terrorist attack, normally these types of shows take longer to introduce conflict. The scumbag villain was annoying, I hate villains like those. Glen beating him was awesome though. |

| Well now, scummy teacher was actually badass scummy teacher. Who'd a thought.... So he's a CQC specialist with the invincible skill of nullifying magic abilities eh? So what happens if someone drops a few dozen boulders from the sky to squash him? I doubt magic will help save him at that point.... That aside, his lessons about thinking outside the constrictive and tradition-imposed box was fun to watch, and I bet his students were all enlightened by it. Oh, and those ex-military thugs really suck so bad. How is it possible that they even got into the military if they're so lost without magic? Are the soldiers in this world so reliant on magic for everything that they cannot even deal with physical punches and kicks? I love these magical high school setting stories, but seriously some of these things just need explaining. |

| Finally we get to see some good action from Glenn. The beginning bored me a little, but its nice to see him finally show why he's worthy of being a teacher. Episode got better as it went on. 4/5 |

I think he has a talent for magic as well, we saw how well known he was with magic when he was teaching them that thunder bolt one, from the looks of it not any normal magician can do that since all of em were literally surprised when he did it and had false ideas on what would happen if you cut the chant. Its not as if those ex military guys sucks, but that Glen is just on another playin field. |

| Glenn-sensei is a kind of sensei that relates in my real life sensei because there's a science teacher who hates science but he really explains it easily and we understand it so easily and all of us got high grades because of him and when there's quizzes he approaches us and gives us some hints and when there's an exam he doesn't really focus in us that's why we can copy in our classmates xD and we our great because he became our teacher. |

| What I really liked #1 about this anime so far is the MC and his views regarding magic and its usage. In the previous episode, he said something like "magic is useless" and this episode gives it a lot of sense. It makes you question how magic, if they were real, would otherwise be used, how everything that runs on our mind during chanting affects it, questions like this. Basically, in this ep, we get some backstory of Rumia and ShiroNeko (hehe), a glimpse of evil forces, and MC's true colors. This is really getting more interesting. |
