| The goblins in this season have been relentless. Nowhere seems to be safe even at sea. Meanwhile, the Sword Maiden does get some spotlight on her character. Truly though, this season's goblins are getting out of control. Props to the elf archer for keeping her ground. |

| Returning to their regular routine, their initial task involves eliminating goblins at the beach to acquire a seashell for Cowgirl. Having resolved the request to deal with the sea goblins attacking the fishing grounds, Goblin Slayer returned to the guild in the frontier town. Waiting for him there was a sword maiden who had come from the City of Water. Agreeing to accompany her as a guard for a meeting she wished to attend in the city, the group found themselves under attack by goblins on the highway. The goblins that assaulted them shared a distinct characteristic. It's hilarious how Guild Girl, Priestess, and High Elf Archer manage to push Goblin Slayer into non-goblin quests. The creative approach of Water Walking the Sea Serpent is something I wish more anime would explore. Here we go, heading into the Dungeon of the Dead! |

| Well the sea serpent fight was interesting. And now a job for the sword maiden which will probably be intense again, and it looks like the goblin or being controlled by something again. I wonder if something from Goblin slayers past will come up here. |
| LN readers cleared up that in the last episode Priestess cried because Earth Mother doesn't like her miracles being used for killing and iirc she can't use this miracle again. They could've just put one line of Earth Mother saying "This miracle must never be used in this way again" or something and it would've been much better. EDIT: Actually now that I read about it a bit more, it seems that Earth Mother just scolded her, which made Priestess very anxious (I mean, imagine being scolded by a god), and she still can use the miracle. Prequel time! Or not? T h e y w e r e n ' t g o b l i n s . I really like how there's just enough focus on romance in this for it not to be annoying. Where does Lizard Priest get the fangs used for his attacks btw? I imagine he buys them, but where do they come from? 16:50 What exactly is he checking here? The next scene makes me think that they just counted the corpses, but why cut them? 17:20 I was so confused at first about why they reacted like that to the word "anvil" lmao I feel like GS was tying something near his helmet awfully often this episode like at 15:02 and 21:41. But I guess it's nothing too important? Enjoyed this episode! |

| A lot of disappointment for the characters in this episode: First Goblin Slayer very sad for not having sea goblins to kill, at least those pests aren't in the sea. And second, Sword Maiden when seeing how Goblin Slayer have Cow Girl as someone closer to him. Bonding campfire side, over their trauma. Sword Maiden was working something there, but priestess had to wake up and goblins attack, to block her. |

| I'm guessing what we saw in the beginning of the episode was some sort of a prequel flashback. I think the woman in the blindfold is Sword Maiden. That guy in the samurai-style outfit reminds me of Goblin Slayer. This time the Goblin Slaying squad were acting as a bodyguard for the Sword Maiden and escorted her to the Capital. I guess these people really don't have names huh? |
| Even at sea, goblins are still a threat...or rather, sea serpents, and Goblin Slayer is NOT happy that they are not goblins, but fish. With the rewards as tempting as ever, he decides to give a seashell to Cow Girl, though he soon receives a request to slay goblins by the Lady Archbishop. A trip to the outset passing Cow Girl's place that Goblin Slayer lives in, and soon, they sense goblins around to lock her in the carriage, surrounded by goblins on wolves and with a surprise attack by skeleton dragons aiding them. Soon enough, they reach another town, safe and sound. Pretty much, it's just the same goblin slaying ventures, nothing out of the ordinary. |

| Hmm i was wondering when we'll see Sword maiden and her party so this was a nice surprise. The battle with the sea serpert though was pretty cool though pretty sure was anime only. Guild girl is always a delight to see when she's confused by GS's words. Such a warm moment seeing Cow girl's reaction to the gift. Bodyguard detail for sword maiden sure was an interesting request that came was a hefty reward. Sword maiden's sleepwear sure was enticing. The hammer and the anvil huh a classic that was apt for that engagement. Rare for the king to go and collect taxes himself. Curious at what the capital would be like. |

| Would love to read a creature index written by Goblin Slayer if his description of a sea serpent is just "Long. Fish. Not a goblin." Wasn't prepared for Cow Girl's sincere joy from receiving the seashell, or High Elf's visceral reaction to the word "anvil" in battle lmao Also, kinda surprised asking people for their names isn't taboo in this universe (unless they literally wrote "Priestess", "Dwarf Shaman" and such on the ledger lol) |
| An arc focusing on sword maiden is exactly what the doctor ordered. Been too long since she got the spotlight. Was cool to see some of her backstory. I’m pretty sure we’re gonna get a prequel movie or OVA focusing on Samurai dude as well which is why he doesn’t have a seiyuu casting yet. More stories in the GS world are always welcome. You could really sense the disappointment when GS arrived only to find the Gilmen and no actual goblins to slay lol. “There weren’t any goblins” I feel like people give him quests sometimes just to be close to him. Poor sword maiden getting shot down at every opportunity by GS. Cow girl is so far in the lead I don’t think there’s a chance for anyone else. Doesn’t mean they won’t try. Love her little pouty faces whenever he told her to go to sleep. Not to mention priestess waking up and getting jealous over the two of them talking. For women who are supposed to be married to God, they sure do have a lot of love left to share with GS lmao. |

| Guys, I don't think the priestess was the only one thirty waking up in the middle of the night, it was a fun episode, no idea what was the thing at the beginning but it was cool with I assume Sword Maiden in the past, then a proper adventure killing the Sea Serpent with a smart use for a spell, Cow girl seems to be winning so far and that ominous black hand on those goblins giving White Hand of Isengard vibes. |
| It's amusing to witness Goblin Slayer repeating the refrain of "they weren't goblins" at the reception desk. My man is clearly disappointed that what was supposed to be a goblin-hunting quest turned out to be a fishing quest instead. It sounded like he was more than a bit irked, expressing his frustration with, "You sent me on a quest—without goblins. No goblins there. Not one. Some other things. But no goblins." It almost seemed like he was sternly cautioning them against assigning him fake goblin quests again. XD Sorry, Archbishop, but if you're anticipating a romantic comedy scenario with Goblin Slayer in the midst of a goblin-related quest, you're mistaken. She attempts the night raid, but failed miserably as soon as she witnessed her competition. The Cow Girl, who is naturally close to GS and competes in terms of assets, is no match for her. Then there's Priestess, his party member. Poor girl, all she can do is pout. π |

| When we were first dropped into the party taking on sea serpents, I was thinking that we missed the buildup but then it occurred to me that unlike goblins, this was like a side quest to the Goblin Slayer lol, he even said it himself that he wished goblins went down as easy. And then afterward, when reporting about the quest, all Goblin Slayer was certain about was that there were no goblins and what they did kill was long and a fish, that was great lol. But afterward we’re now on an actual mission concerning goblins, and it has to do with protecting the Sword Maiden which is nice because we haven’t seen a lot of her this season, I did like her reaction to seeing Cow Girl lol, she knows what she’s up against now, and speaking of Cow Girl I loved her reaction to receiving a gift from Goblin Slayer, that was really sweet. And after confronting the wolf riding goblins and defeating them with the anvil strategy (which gave us a good Elf reaction lol) we see the gang reach the capital city which looks very grand, I’m definitely excited to see the party explore it for the first time. And lastly, we finally got to see that samurai lad from the OP in a flashback that featured the Sword Maiden, hope that isn’t all we see of him. |
| So does this mean that Cthulhu is canonically present in the goblin slayer universe? So far there have been a lot of allusions to LOTR, but if they start putting in Lovecraft stuff it could get quite interesting. Hopefully they tone it down a little though, if something really dark happens to the party like I might have to drop the series.  |

I was surprised to see Sword Maiden and it kind of felt like she was looking for any excuse to have GS around and luckily (or not since she's still traumatized) for her goblins did show up. Speaking of Sword Maiden, she doesn't have a clue about GS's harem does she lol.

The first part of the episode was in the past, when Sword Maiden was young she was part of that party and they beat the Dungeon of the Dead. |

| The intro was epic! They finally revealed who that Samura is, and he is probably from Hero's party or some stronger party on the frontline but his hair is quite different from Goblin Slayer. Probably another guy character... π I really love the part where GS always asked: Goblins? π€£π€£π€£ I also get to see Sword Maiden a lot in this episode! Thanks! I love those pouts. Another know-it-all... π  |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Goblin Slayer was disappointed when it wasn't goblins, and poor Guild Girl trying to make sense of his explanation on what kinda monster they actually slayed lol Lady Archbishop was clearly disappointed that Goblin Slayer was living with someone else, and her trying to flirt with Goblin Slayer while everyone was asleep was interrupted when Priestess woke up lol Now, what adventures await the group once they enter the Capital I wonder... |

| I liked this episode a lot. I love that when GS accepted the quest he did a little pause in his talk after calling his party "comrades", realizing that they are more than just teammates, that pretty cute little detail. I also love how Priestess is acting a bit more jealous and wary of the other girls, did she finally realised she likes GS? She is so cute, I swear, and also so cool, I can see she went all out fighting the sea serpent lol It was really cool how they fought the goblins this time, a new tactic to fight in the open, and Lizardman was the goat as always, he looked so happy seeing how his skeletons masacred them lmao With the scene at the begining I thought that maybe with this and the 3 episodes that are left they were going to adapt Dai Katana, I'm happy they didn't, but at the same way I would love to see it adapted, alongside Year One and Brand New Day (that one is short and sweet!). btw still no festival arc, I don't think they will adapt it on a 3rd season since it should had happend before Goblin's Crown like 4 arcs ago, maybe they will use it for a 2nd movie? That would be nice. |

| This episode just reinforces the notion that the Archbishop is mad thirsty for Orcbolg, which is sad because we all know he's already taken by something far bigger than everyone else, SLAYING GOBLINS THAT IS! |
