Thanks to this episode for the reminder. I got the mood back of an adventure show again too with some hunting in the wild. I swear, Sugimoto and Asripa make the perfect pair. Also really glad Hijikata got more screen time this episode. He's such an underrated character imo. Good episode. |

| I am not happy with this turn of events. I thought this show would end with Sugimoto and his friends not teaming up with neither 7th division or Shinsengumi. I would like that turn of events better because it would make Sugimoto look way cooler. Also a three way contest is not a thing you see much so it would also be funny. |

| Hijikata was quite the fresh dude back then. Throwing all these characters together has made this show even more entertaining. I loved how Ogata proved Asirpa wrond and how she roasted Sugimoto. And this lol  There were also a good amount of excitement and interesting aspects, especially that backround story. Great episode overall. |

| That was a packed episode, lots of stuff happening and lots of jumping around between the different groups. In particular, the placement of the flashback felt a little strange, but this was still a good episode. Was this episode actually rushed, or was this part of the manga like this as well (no spoilers, just the general idea)? |

In the manga it was "two timing bastard", kinda closer to "konoyaro" or whatever Sugimoto said. and geez, this adaptation really loves ignoring flashbacks and some of the other scenes from the manga. What about Shiraishi's escape king flashback that was before the shinsengumi one? Will they adapt it later or nah? Time will tell I guess. But honestly people, read the manga version after watching anime if you haven't yet. |

The Gintama ones aren't original characters, they're loosely based off real people. |

| I nearly thought it was Gintama for like a good 10 seconds, after hearing Kondo, Hijikata and Shinsengumi in the same sentence. Still, this was easily the best episode of this season for me. Felt more intense and the interactions were more interesting than the first 2. |
| I was fooled into thinking that Shiraishi's nightmare was real, but it wasn't. However, his escape attempt only led him to getting himself spotted by a whole squadron of soldiers, so good luck to him evading capture. XD It was pretty enjoyable to see how the slightly mismatched group got along with each other throughout the episode. Ogata is definitely an arrogant lone wolf, but Ushiyama couldn't resist Asirpa's deadly cuteness when she offered him some brain to eat. That was pretty funny. =) The flashback involving Hijikata and Shinpachi was interesting, as well showing them when they're much younger than what they currently are now. It was a bit sudden with its timing, but it was still pretty good. And that's how I sum up the episode as a whole, pretty good. Looking forward to the next one. =D |

| Shiraishi's nightmare was scary AF, but he's about to get into a real nightmare soon. Shinpachi and Hijikata having their nostalgic moment there was really cool. I see also Ogata has become a bit of a team player with Sugimoto and Asirpa, he's not there yet but I think he's about to. |

| The interactions during the whole Chitatap preparation were great. These kind of scenes just make the characters even more likeable. I really liked this episode. The backstory between Hijikata and Shinpachi was also really nice and touching at the same time, to be honest. That's a lot of respect coming from Shinpachi. P.S.: The way that kid was explaining the facade Tanigaki and co. will use was just hillarious xD |
| As always the show has good balance between intense fights and fun adventure side Is shiraishi really an escape king whenever escape he jumps into another problem and I would really love to see what happens when sugimoto finds out about that shiraishi has been leaking information |

| Battle at Edogai's house was intense. Hijikata is really badass. I wish his and Sugimoto's alliance lasts long, but I guess it won't be the case. I really love when all these characters are toghether. |

Also Crunchyroll subs aren't perfect, in Houseki no Kuni they translated tanoshii as "good" instead of "fun", in a scene in which this word was vital (that's why fandom noticed it). Professional translators are humans too, they may be mistaken sometimes or work in a rush. |
