| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The OP song is alright I guess. There's quite a bit of fantasy themes in this just judging on the character sitting at that table alone. A talking slime with stats? Really? The MC is the character that was the most noticeable though with the skull avatar.  Fun watch I guess. With all the fantasy shows this season, this one seems to have the most MMORPG creativity behind it. Only 1 cour though. |

| OP wasn't bad, visuals were okay. Should have been at the end of the episode though. That said, the episode was faithful to most of the first 2 chapters of the novel. I really liked seeing how Momonga's voice changed after the game ended, became more Overlord-ish deep and imposing. The introduction to the floor guardians was illuminative. Albedo stands out the most due to Momonga messing with her settings. Aura and Mare are like little kids looking up to dad. Shalltear's first order of business was to rag on Aura for something Momomga related :) Demiurge and Cocytus were also present. All in all, a solid beginning to the series. OP spoils where the anime will end so I'm not too worried about Madhouse rushing things. But the CGI skeletons bother me a little. Nazarick looks pretty good so props to Madhouse. |

Considering it's an anime and therefore a word-for-word adaptation is almost impossible, little things were removed or glossed over but it's not that bad. |

Look at Mahou Sensou, Kaminai and Mahouka (last two weren't bad but as adaptions they were quite lacking). Only good LN by MH was NGNL. It all comes to how good this director is at his job :P |

| nice opening. Not sure if madhouse is going to adapt the next few episodes nicely. I think they are going to adapt volume 1 to 3 in under 13 episodes. Worst case scenerio is if they adapt volume 1 to 6 in under 1 cour. That would be too rushed. anyway,looking forward for the next few episodes |

| That was a fun episode I really didnt know what to expect from the MC, but it seems like he is a nice guy with a fearsome look, I mean my god man, that avatar is just overkill The part when he was "experimenting" and "testing" the new world functions was pretty funny |

| Holy Molly...THis is a great first episode.....Out of the one's i have seen that are airing which i have not read the source material this is number 1....i am just a sucker for trapped in a game plotlines. I mean sure that story has already been adapted before but this already has several difference...Animation, OSt,,,,The Main Guy is not even Human and i mean truly not human when was the last time we had a protagonist like that....With a plot focusing on conquer and domination of the world. I cant wait to see what else in store. Also i a bit stuck between either Albedo or Shalltear bloodborne as best girl :D...I am sucker for Goths haha XD One Last thing.....IF this series turns out well just as the first episode...please don't let it fall for the Madhouse curse please T.T |

| The opening is the best I have seen when I compare it to the other summer anime I am watching. The MC is a scary final boss character who is actually just like us I give the episode a 4/5, I didn't think it was the greatest thing ever, but I will definitely watch the other 12 episodes this season. |

| interesting op/ed, characters aren't really great except maybe for the two elves and the loli they were fighting with, aside from momnga obviously. everything else is really premature for now, what i've seen was pretty good, but was still nowhere enough to judge, have to wait a couple episodes. |
| It was aight. I didn't really know what it was going to be like (mostly chose it based on Madhouse), so the general premise was a pleasant surprise. I'll keep on watching it. It has potential, but for me at least, nothing wowed me so far. |

| A game fantasy that turns into reality. This one is like the novel called The New Gate (Currently reading...hope it gets turns into anime as well). Okay, first impression, really good. Reason might be that the MC is not a human (yes I know he is human, but not anymore) and he is strong at that. Can't wait for more to come. |

| I really like the OP and ED. First episode was really entertaining. I'm digging the MC as well. At first I figured I would end up dropping this one as it's another one of those character-trapped-in-MMOs anime, but it turned out better than I thought it would. Looking forward to watch the next ep. Also, lol when the MC was groping the NPC, that was hilarious. |
| Wow Albedo san... wow. Anyways, another lucky ass MC who gets to be King. Dayum. What a good life to begin with... strongest boss in the game with probably the strongest weapon. Got a hugeass guild and is the master of it. Has a freakin hot assistant with enormous oppais and the two loli dark elves. What more can he ask for? Anyways, great music and nice eipsode. 5/5. Hue don't get too free Momonga sama... also whats up with that name... damn.. |

| Lol i always cant take animes like this seriously. I rather it not be a game and be like Dungeon last seeason where it was actually their world. When its a game the whole time im thinking is stuff like- hes not paying the bills for his house, police will arrive at his house, then they are gonna see this guys body in a coma and then what. |

| Thought's for this Episode: Okay the Story was good (Trapped Inside A Game). The animation was just fine. The OP and ED songs are good too. I'll definitely watch the full version of the song or it's Music Video. I'll stick watching this to find out more if this would be awesome in the next episodes. Because It's MadHouse |

The OP and ED aren't my type of songs but they're acceptable. That boob fondling was nice, I'm glad we got to see some fight scenes. I'm wondering what Momonga will do now and what that Sabes guy saw. |
