| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- LOL, Akira's introduction was funny. She practically jumped her friend while feeding her D: I liked how they become friends so fast and in that charming way under the sakura trees. I also thought Michiko was pretty cute when she was little. Spotted some Shaft style head tilts this episode. It's happening. The girls eating together under the Sakura Trees is really something though. Delicious. |

| That atmosphere is nothing short of serene to the point of nearly being heartmelting (amplified by Ryou's serene disposition and voice) and Shaft brought some head tilting as well, their magic is all over this festival episode. Akira is a funny character and that kiss was even funnier. Shiina's a great character too, quite cool, but still friendly and cute at the same time. The end card is very adorable and slightly sexy. |

| Tsk tsk a show about cooked food shouldn't stay RAW for so damn long. I decided to watch another episode to make sure I'm not missing out on a good show, but I see that the erotic eating scenes and yuri undertones will be consistent throughout the series. Those break the mood for me, especially in slice-of-life, so I think I'll pass on this show. Also, the main protagonist acts like a supporting character, and the other girls are not that interesting. The OP and ED are pretty good though. The instrumental for the ED sounds a lot like the instrumental for the OP from Welcome to the NHK! |

| Speaking as a huge fan of the "Cute Girls Doing Cute Things" genre, even I am getting a bit overwhelmed by the cuteness. This is quite impressive to look at. Today there seemed to be more (1) abstract lewdness (2) hints of Yuri subtext and (3) somewhat gratuitous iconic SHAFT head tilts than in the first episode. It looks like they're keeping to the same standard as the manga. They aren't crossing the line to fanservice or Ecchi. There should be an audience for this. | How could they? They do all generic anime almost immediately. Why won't they do the same for this one too? It's like Mikakunin de Shinkoukei all over again :( |

| Another fun episode with the right mix of hunger, funnies (yes, that includes the scene where Ryou, Kirin, and Akira savor their food), and heartwarming. Not to say I *don't* like the supporting characters that have appeared so far, but I really like both Ryou and Kirin. The former is adorable for her friendliness and caring personality, the latter for being bright and cheerful but also having a sensitive side (like her sketch!). Can't wait for next week -- hopefully their interactions will continue to be entertaining. Oh, and can't wait for the food next episode. That's also important. |

| Welp, another absolutely adorable episode as Kirin and Ryou continue to bond, this time viewing the cherry blossoms. Shiina also makes an appearance, prompting Kirin's jealousy. But by the end everything seems to be fine. Who's the stalker looking at Kirin from the window I wonder? :D |

| That was again just heart-warmingly adorable. Loved see Ryou and Kirin grow closer, and Shiina seems really cool so far. I wonder if we will learn what happened to her parents, besides the obvious, eventually? Lots of Yuri subtext as expected from show based on a MTK series. Lots more SHAFT: Headtilts, Slo-mo zoom-ins , Lens flares, Sudden gusts of wind, as well as those Foodgasm scenes and other familiar SHAFT quirks. Looks like they were slow rolling it before, but you didn't think they would resist for long, it's SHAFT after all. I am enjoying this show the most out of any this season, can't wait for next week |

| They did the Senjougahara look several times. It's very clear this is made by Shaft just looking at the style. In any case so for it's still a nice anime to watch it's funny how different there lifestyles are. And the cooking joke about Kirin's mothers cooking was funny. |

| I think that I'm really going to love this series. It's so calm and enjoyable. It makes me just want to make all sorts of good food. It's a pity that I don't know how to cook very well. Also, the notorious "SHAFT head tilts" have returned for this show as well. It wouldn't be a SHAFT show without them, I suppose. Does anyone know if this is just going to be a one cour anime or not? It feels like it's going to be, but you never know. |

| It was really nice to see more sides of Kirin and Ryou. Akira's debut being like that xD Ryou's instant attitude change was really amazing to see. Akira kneeling and presenting her money! What Shiina is drawing is pretty entertaining. Nice to see some cute moments between the two after learning more about each other! |

| Okay, I took way too many screenshots this episode. At this rate I'm going to end with with 50GBs of Koufuku. It's nice to see that SHAFT hasn't lost their touch with this show as unlike the first episode we got the staple Head Tilt here. This show is just way too comfy. The head tilts, soft-core food pornography, and exceedingly adorable interactions between Ryou and Kirin, dammit this anime is better than Durarara X2. I said it. |

| A fun and somewhat boring episode, can't say i didn't get hungry though @_@ Some new characters introduced. Shiina mastered the head tilting art already and Akira is kind of an air head, she was a bit annoying imo. Kirin is getting jelly ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Impressive visuals and Head tilts. 4/5 |

| Like most others I am going to sing the praises of this show. Episode 2 ended up even more adorable than episode 1 Wait a minute! We had an Anime Cold in ep 1 and already a festival in ep 2! Next we'll need a visit to the beach, fireworks, a bathhouse..... Kidding aside, the artwork is again lovely to look upon. The interaction between Kirin and Ryou is so friggin adorable I think I fell into a diabetic coma after watching this this. Something I liked about Kirin is that she is shown feeling a touch of jealousy over both Akira and Shiina having fun times with Ryou that do not include her (poor Kirin is only there on the weekends after all), but instead of letting the jealousy fester inside her she even feels a little ashamed of it - watch the part where she sees her reflection in the candy apple for example. In the end the ever-sensitive Ryou smooths everything over with her folded omelettes. I sense a new character is peering from behind the curtains. |

| There is the Shaft, I know in love with their head tilts and zoom in camera. Well nothing to say here, just a relaxing episode, but somewhat erotic in some scenes XD. I love the bond between Ryou and Kirin. Although I hopping to see more of Shiina in later episodes. Akira is pretty funny in here XD. |
| I felt like I was watching Bakemonogatari - Foodie version. Didn't feel like it last episode, but they really stepped it up this week. Not bad for a SoL show about nothing but food. I wanna go roll around on a picnic sheet in the middle of Sakura trees too :P |

| The head tilts are so effective this episode. I just can't get enough of it. Shiina made her appearance. I see that she also loves Ryou's cooking. Those tamagoyaki were so exquisitely delicious looking. I desperately want to try those. Under the cherry blossoms while eating those looked cute. Looking forward for more delicious food to come. |
