Tekkon Kinkreet
　Mini Review: The premise, the first half of the movie, and certain subplots were quite interesting, but the negative aspects were too evident overall. The correspondence between internal drama and external disasters is an old trope that was laid too thickly, without main characters that were interesting enough to support it. The art is unusual and good, if slightly undercut by the feeling of wanting to be weird for weird's sake.
Suzume no Tojimari
　Mini Review: It hits all the notes of a classic Shinkai movie, but this fact does not take anything away from the enjoyment. The plot strikes an excellent balance between pushing forward the main quest and following the many derailments along the way, in a way that feels true to real life. The art lives up to the high reputation set by the other products of the studio.
Cowboy Bebop
　Mini Review: Its space-cowboy-noir aesthetic doesn't attract me in the least, but I can see the appeal of it (and I appreciated the Star Trek easter eggs). The main routine of showcasing how cool the protagonists are while keeping them constantly broke through bad luck gets a bit repetitive, but the show manages to stay afloat throughout. The production value is pretty good, especially the music.
Wan Sheng Jie
　Mini Review: This is a wacky but cute Chinese web manga adaptation that relies on fast-paced gags for its humour. At least in this first season there is not much more than that to say, it is short and enjoyable and goes away without any aftertaste, but there is a cliffhanger of sorts that could open new dynamics. As for art, the main character models are impactful and the colours pop, although the backgrounds are mostly very simple, as usual of web mangas.

Ore dake Level Up na Ken
　Mini Review: Not everything is original and fresh, but the show is faithful to the core premise of the title all the way through, which is worth my respect. The main character is complex enough, the plot shows promise for the next season, and the art is above average for this kind of show. I wish there existed more anime like this.
Metropolis
　Mini Review: You are unceremoniously yanked through characters and events, making the story feel like it is disjointly rolling forward past you. The art is the real centrepiece, with so many animation choices alien to Japanese trends, and certainly a monumental effort behind it. In that regard it is like a thick, thick broth from some foreign cuisine, with too many flavours all blended together to be able to state that all of them are good or bad.
Odd Taxi
　Mini Review: A clever direction of tightly interwoven stories pulls off a perfectly paced suspense show, and it somehow even manages to pack it with manzai routines. Although the anime is sustained more by its plot than by its numerous characters' personalities, these are often both intelligent and flawed at once, helping the entertainment value soar. The show's best quality is how it makes you look back in surprise where you least expected a surprise to be there: I beg you to not spoil it for yourself, reader.
Kyuujitsu no Warumono-san
　Mini Review: The anime bets all its chips on cuteness, and it works wonders for people like me who love to watch iyashikei. If it were a different kind of content however, I recognize that the complete inconsistency in the characters' behaviour compared to the stakes of the premise would deeply irritate me. The art is typical of web manga adaptations, with most effort going to articulated characters against a simple and very geometric background.

Fumetsu no Anata e
　Mini Review: Masterful digging into existential questions of all sorts, both about normal individuals and the abnormal protagonist, and so many themes that to list them all is difficult. The psychic evolution from beast to baby to full self is done incredibly well, many of the arc-driving characters are multifaceted, even the inhuman enemies are unexpectedly resourceful. The art is the show's relative weakness: though good for most of the time, it sometimes falls apart in certain later episodes.
Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai
　Mini Review: The invisibility plot point is a bit contrived, but the show's cuteness overpowers most of its defects. I appreciated especially how the female protagonist acts differently in different contexts, sometimes the teaser and sometimes the teased, and not always succeeds even when she wants to. The art is sugary, though with a touch too many chibi moments and sparkly backgrounds for my taste.
Horimiya: Piece
　Mini Review: Since it adapts parts that were skipped from the main season, the story in this one feels a bit more disjoint and gag-driven. Fortunately the characters are genuinely funny and adorable, completely new ones are given some space, and the new storylines complement nicely what we already knew about the main group. The art's level is high, where even people in the background are portrayed thoroughly and the scenery is occasionally excellent.
Kono Oto Tomare!
　Mini Review: Especially in this first season, I have the feeling that the showrunners didn't think that I would trust them to make a good show. Thus, they slightly rushed the plot to arrive to the "good part", and the first interactions between the characters are clumsily written. However, the passion is so overflowing that I got completely absorbed, and it is telling that I watched both seasons almost in one sitting.

Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu
　Mini Review: This is just another show dominated by an overpowered protagonist surrounded by beautiful women in love with him, and giving the viewer almost nothing else. The plot is paper-thin, constantly one-upping itself in terms of power levels but without any tension behind it, and shoving the status quo back into place at the end of each battle. The art quality goes up and down, but at least the ups were allocated to the right moments.
Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro
　Mini Review: The show almost manages to have a charmingly straightforward plot, going from point A to point B and ending there, but it could not resist setting up a sequel bait. The characters do what they are supposed to, they are neither particularly interesting nor particularly flat. The art is noticeably bad in the one real fight episode, and occasionally tricks you by showing bystanders of a cool scene rather than the cool scene itself.
Hikari no Ou 2nd Season
　Mini Review: One can perceive some great ideas buried in the confusingly woven plot, but they feel mostly wasted. It could have been a "Shinsekai yori", but events and characters are dull and stiff when they are supposed to be mysterious or menacing, and nothing seems to hit in the right way. The animation is jarring, with bizarre framing and movements: I am convinced that it must have been an intentional storyboarding choice to some degree, to add to the alienation while staying in budget, but it did not work on me.
Princess Tutu
　Mini Review: The show is a somewhat old-fashioned mahou shoujo in the style of "Cardcaptor Sakura", with a dash of "Kodomo no Omocha" in the wacky background characters. Its lustre has faded with time, and by now most of its ideas and characters are classic and conventional. However, the music still shines and is quite well-researched, past the usual Čajkovskij you would see in every ballet anime: the Polovtsian dances, Coriolan, Scheherazade, the New World Symphony are some that I did notice, and many more I likely didn't.

Nasu: Andalusia no Natsu
　Mini Review: What a beautiful short anime. This anime was about a race across an area of Spain and you felt it, it felt just like watching a cycle race on the TV and had that feel like the Tour de France, making it an exciting watch. The art and animation was also great with the early 2000's madhouse look. However, the end felt like it was trying to be a comedy, which it wasn't through the rest of the anime and the end felt like it weirdly dragged after the rest of the anime. So, Overall I scored this anime a 9, the exciting race and good supporting characters really made this show, even if the end wasn't the best. I would recommend this anime to any sports anime fans.
Pokemon Generations 7/18
　Mini Review: Sadly Disappointing. I have recently been watching a bunch pokemon shorts, and generations was the last one and the worst one. Now don't get me wrong generations isn't a bad anime it is well written and achieves what it set out to do, it just wasn't what I was looking for. The main problem I had with generations is the lack of new or original content, as generations is just based on scenes from the video games and as I have played them all it just made the anime feel repetitive. Talking about repetitive the anime is based mostly around the legendaries from the games, so why is this a problem? Well the main reason is legendary pokemon are supposed to feel special and rare to see, so seeing a bunch of them back to back to back makes them lose their elusive and exciting aura and just makes them feel samey. Overall I scored the anime a 6, not bad but nothing new. If your are looking for some fun original pokemon adventures look elsewhere, if you are looking for a nostalgia hit from playing the games this might be the perfect anime for you.
Undead Unluck 17/24
　Mini Review: Very good show with interesting characters. The part of the anime that I enjoy the most is the powers and the characters the idea around powers that are made to negate things is really interesting and this show does a great job of matching the character and the power, with the powers being an integral part of each character and an informative part of who each of the characters are and building a past with their powers to show why they act like they do. Do to all the jumble of powers and character the plot can feel a bit wacky at times. But Overall this is a very good action shounen which I scored 8/10
Ishura 1/12
　Mini Review: Bad start but grows on you. Ishura is an interesting anime built on a variety of different characters with various powers. If this is sounding similar to Undead Unluck that is because they are, however Undead Unluck is more lighthearted, this is more serious and nice and gory. The main problem with Ishura is the first episode and the characters introduced in it, they are the two most boring characters and personally I think unlikeable and they remain relevant to the end. Whilst other characters that are introduced I find to be way more interesting. This anime starts of really slow but really builds towards a grand finale that I personally believe really pays off. I also love an anime that isn't afraid to kill of characters in fact that is what makes it as good as it is, it does mean you shouldn't try to get attached to a character cause you don't know if they will stay around. Overall I gave the anime a score of 8/10. I would give the first 6ish episodes an average score of 6 and the rest a 9 for overall 7.5 which I rounded to an 8. It is definatley one of the anime where you have to push through the start of it to get to the good part.

Saa Ikou! Tamagotchi
　Mini Review: Pleasantly surprising. I will preface this review by saying I watching this anime for lo, so my expectations were rock bottom going into it, but I honestly enjoyed this anime. All the names ending in tachi I found quite endearing. The comedy whilst defiantly aimed at children did make me laugh and put a smile on my face most of the time. The plot itself doesn't have much going for it as it was just a bunch of unrelated episodes focusing on different characters in each one. Overall I gave the anime a score of a 6, this felt like a great anime for kids.
Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san
　Mini Review: Meh, This anime starts out so strong the first episode had me laughing so hard I thought my sides were splitting, but then the rest of the anime was very meh. Overall it was a bit boring workplace anime. Where the comedy after the fist episode feels like pull a funny face that will make you laugh, which stopped being funny as a child. Overall I gave this anime a score of a 5, a slightly below average anime. But the first episode is 10/10 comedy well worth a watch by everyone then just drop the anime once you get bored after that.
The New Gate
　Mini Review: Fantasy Isekai sign me up for the adventure to commence. I want to start out by saying the comparison to SAO is just false it doesnt feel like SAO to me, the whole death game concept was just mentioned at the start but it was just the set up to the anime setting later. I would say a much better comparison is with Leadale and would fully recommend that if you like one of them to try the other, I would say I do think Leadale is the slightly better anime. To review The New Gate specifically I would say this is a very classic isekai anime with an op main character, what makes the anime feel special to me is the prior interaction with the world being put into todays story and interactions with the previously known npc characters. Overall I gave this anime a score of an 8 a very good albeit a bit generic isekai.
Boku no Hero Academia 7th Season
　Mini Review: Ending the same way we started. I can't begin to describe the emotion and feeling this anime has brought me, but I think I can say this season of my hero has shown us what Shounen anime can be and this season is right at the top with the best of them. This anime has everything that makes Shounen anime my favourite thing to watch, the amazing action, the emotional ebb and flow, the tension and excitement and maybe most important of all the character. And character is what makes My Hero feel so special as even though there are so many of them they all are well developed and you come to love each and everyone of them from the heroes to the villains, the characters in my hero are some of the best in all of anime. I started the groups with a 10 and I will end the same way 10/10, what a perfect way to bookend this part of the challenge.

Spy x Family Movie: Code: White
　Mini Review: Yay more Spy x Family. This is quite difficult to give a review for because it doesn't add anything special it is just more Spy x Family, so if you like Spy x Family you will like this anime otherwise it the movie won't change your mind. This is a nice movie as a side story between seasons. Overall I gave the anime a score of a 9, It puts everything good about Spy x Family into a movie, nothing more to be said.
Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e 3rd Season
　Mini Review: Good but not great. For me this is the weakest season of the anime so far, still good but lacked the punch of the previous two seasons. The main problem I had with this season was the external factors changing outcomes, which kinda made me feel like why am I bothering to watch this if the outcome will just change? Out of the 3 key arcs in this season the middle one was by far and away the best which really boosted the anime in my opinion. Overall I gave the anime a score of a 7, slightly disappointing especially in comparison to the other season but I would still say the anime is good.
Haikyuu!! Movie: Gomisuteba no Kessen
　Mini Review: I was worried but thankfully its good. With this season Haikyuu decided to go into movie format, in regards to this I had previously and quite recently watched another Haikyuu movie and I sadly didn't enjoy it, the entire movie felt incredibly rushed and lacking excitement. So I went into this movie trepidatiously and thankfully my fears were not met. The anime was great and the match and surrounding story was well done. I will say I do wonder how much had to be cut down for the movie as it did still feel rushed in places I think it would have been better placed as a 7 or 8 episode series; but what can you do?. Overall I gave the anime a score of a 9, a great continuation of the anime, but I think it would have been even better as a series rather than a movie.
Kui Cheng Shoufu Cong Youxi Kaishi
　Mini Review: Just what I needed, I was getting fed up of watching short anime or previously started anime and felt like I needed an anime to actually spend some time with to really appreciate and enjoy when I saw found this one. And what a find it was, this anime had me constantly laughing, and constantly interested in what was going to happen next. The idea around making video games to lose money and the different interactions with people having the biggest impact on a games sales was a very interesting point of view around how games become successful. I loved everything about this anime except the final few episodes which had a bit of a lackluster payout in comparison to the rest of the anime. Overall I gave the anime a score of 9.5, so close to a 10 for me, if only it wasn't for the mediocre ending to the anime.

Summer Ghost
　Mini Review: What the perfect anime to start the event with. I want to start my review by saying I was blown away with how they managed to develop all the characters in such a short time frame. I was gripped and interested in what was happening throughout the anime. But the thing I felt was best of all was the ending an emotion and outstanding way to wrap up this anime. However the anime did have a flaw but the flaw didn't feel like it was impactful to the story as it was about a 10 second scene which could easily been fixed with a slight change and 5-10 second scene before it. With all that in mind overall I gave this anime a score of a 10, the minor flaw wasn't enough to deter from the enjoyment and the emotion of the show. I would highly recommend this to everyone, what an amazing start to the event.
Cencoroll
　Mini Review: Interesting idea poor execution. This anime had one think lacking it coherence, it jumped about all over the place didn't really make a ton of sense and felt like the whole anime needed fleshing out the characters, the plot and the animation. From what I understand the anime received a sequel which also goes through the events, this anime again, whilst I haven't seen it if it managed to flesh out the original anime, I don't see the need to watch the original anime at all. Overall I gave the anime as score of a 5 whilst it wasn't bad, I wouldn't say it is good either. A slightly below average anime, with a sequel that makes it pointless to watch.
Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou
　Mini Review: Not for me but still good, this anime is quite a slow burner with quite an interesting plot idea. The characters in the show feel quite interesting but the pacing of the show does hurt some of them as they start to drift from interesting to boring. This was the first anime I have watched with my family, not the best introduction but not the worst. Overall I gave the anime a score of a 7, the world plot and characters were all good, just the pace was a bit too slow, I feel like 30 minutes could have been cut and they wouldn't be missed.
Vampire in the Garden
　Mini Review: Fascinating, the world this anime is built around is amazing, I found the discord between the vampires and the humans to be very interesting and I really enjoyed the way the different cities each had their own individualised rules and interactions between the humans and vampires, and overall I thought the world was really well thought out and the feeling of tension was excellently done. The character in the anime was the weak point of the show. Some of the characters were good, some weren't great but overall the characters just felt that little bit off in comparison to the world that they were in. Overall I gave the anime a score of an 8, I would be really interesting in seeing a different story set in this world cause I think there is a lot that could be further done with it.

Kakugo no Susume
　Mini Review: Based on the MAL score and what I have heard about it, I expected this to be far worse than it was. I would even venture to say it was somewhat enjoyable. The animation was solid, at times. The designs were wild. To the point of being so ridiculous that they made me smile. The story felt pretty disjointed as if it was super rushed. It was easy enough to follow though. I never felt bored while watching, though I definitely could have done without those terrible seizure-inducing flashing backgrounds. All in all I had more fun with this than not.
My Score: 5.56
Final Fantasy
　Mini Review: I have played every mainline game in the series and this could not have felt less like Final Fantasy if it tried. I did not much care for it, tbh. The animation quality was very nice, at times. That is the only thing I enjoyed, really. It felt like Square bought out some random OVA series and slapped the Final Fantasy name on it for sales. I think I would have enjoyed it more without the Final Fantasy name attached to it, tbh. It has been a while since I played through FFV. So, maybe if you watched this fresh off a play session the connections would be more apparent?

Yofukashi no Uta
　Mini Review: Well, this one was a pleasant surprise. I thought this was some sort of seasonal cannon fodder when I started it. However, I really enjoyed Nazuna's character. She really stole the show as far as I'm concerned. I liked the story and how the events played out. It gave a slightly different spin to the ever prevalent vampire romance theme. I just wish Kou was a better written character. Even still, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with this one and I look forward to continuation of the series.
My Score: 7.46
Bocchi the Rock!
　Mini Review: Such a fun series. I really loved how the series drastically changed art styles during Gotoh's anxiety fueled daydreams. The comedy was just solid, in general. It has that 4-koma comedy feel and I really like that, it seems. I also loved the OP and the other songs were nice, as well. A shame it ended where it did. I might have to pick up the manga for this one at some point.

Inu-Ou
　Mini Review: Yuasa does it again. This was magnificent. I recently watched Heike Monogatari, so the story of the Heike was fresh in my mind. It was super entertaining to watch a Rock Star version of a Biwa troupe. The performances and the songs were fire. Mad props for getting Queen Bee to play Inu-Ou. I can't imagine a better casting than that. Of course since it is Yuasa, the art and animation was extraordinary. The man is a legend and this is another gem to add to his resume.
My Score: 9.14
Jin-Rou
　Mini Review: I had heard great things about this movie and it did not disappoint. I am a sucker for good endings and this one had a fantastic finish. The journey was solid, as well. I guessed a few of the twists, but it didn't ruin anything for me. The execution was so well done, that the twists were still satisfying. The direction, in particular, really stood out in this one. Really liked how all of the pieces came together and the mixing in of the classic fairy tale was a nice bonus.

Vampire in the Garden
　Mini Review: Oh, wow. That was amazing. Yet another anime where it makes absolutely no sense that MAL does not give it the yuri tag. It was a heartbreaking series, but also a beautiful one. The art and music were fantastic. The animation was mostly good with a few hiccups here and there. I adored the story and basically every moment Momo and Fine shared the screen together. The ending was amazing and brought tears to my eyes. Loved it.

Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story
　Mini Review: This was fantastic! I didn't expect the darker themes involving gambling and the mafia in this one. It surprised me on several fronts to be honest. All in a good way. The final episode was so yuriful, as well. Loving every minute of Eve and Aoi's screen time together. I'm super pumped to watch the 2nd season. Since the finale wasn't really a finale and just a transition into season 2, I won't rate this a 9+ yet. However, if season 2 resonates with me as much as this one did I will be bumping the score. For now...

Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome
　Mini Review: I didn't like this one as much as Tatami Galaxy. Though, I did still enjoy it. Yuasa's art style is always marvelous. That alone makes everything he does worth watching. It just felt so similar to Tatami Galaxy, which is still fresh on my mind from a recent watch, that I kind of felt like, "I just watched this the other day."

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei
　Mini Review: First episode of this was awful. I was so glad that the next three episodes actually felt like I was watching classic Higurashi. The middle three episodes were very good. Though, the ending to the arc was not very satisfying. It felt rushed and the climax was oddly handled completely off-screen. I liked how the story played out, but the classic, "show don't tell," needed to be used here. Then the final episode was back to a pointless standalone episode. As a fan of the first two seasons, I was pretty disappointed in this. Still, I really enjoyed the middle of the series.

　Mini Review: I didn't know what to expect with this one. I enjoyed it quite a bit. The comedy gave me several legit laughs throughout. Prince Baka was such a fun character. I quite enjoyed each mini arc and the solo episode(s) were equally as engaging. Nothing really blew me away, but I thought every aspect was solid and the events were genuinely unpredictable.

　Mini Review: I tend to enjoy time loop media and this was no different. This show sure had a ton of twists and turns that kept it very exciting and fresh from episode to episode. However, this also kind of hurt the series at times. Particularly, during the climax where a lot of the turns felt a little too convenient. However, this didn't make me dislike the series any more from a pure entertainment standpoint. It just hurt my scoring for it a bit. I enjoyed the character throughout and really didn't have one that I disliked. The OPs and EDs were bangers, so that really added to my enjoyment, as well.

Sakasama no Patema
　Mini Review: Genuinely one of the coolest movies I have ever watched, animated or otherwise. I loved everything about it. The inverted perspective was so well done. As someone who experiences frequent inversion during dreams, I kind of understand the feeling of fear and wonder all mixed together. The characters were cute and fun to watch, as well. I had zero expectations going in and was really blown away by the experience. It is now in my Top 20 favourites here on MAL.

　Mini Review: The art and animation in all three episodes was amazing. Definitely the best part of the series. The first episode was my favourite by far. I could watch an entire series of that. It reminded me so much of a certain arc in The Expanse. I did not like the second episode at all. It was incredibly unappealing, but at least the art held up. I guess it was suppose to be funny, but I was just bored the entire time. The final episode was cool, but just felt like it needed to last way longer than it did. It almost made it feel like a recap to a standard length film. I really liked the concept and world in it, but the episode just felt like it was on fast forward.

　Mini Review: Wow, that was something special. I have had this one on my radar ever since I started watching anime, but I could never find the right mood to watch it. I used this event to force myself to watch it. For me, it is right up there with Clannad AS and AnoHana when it comes to all out tearjerkers. Also like those series', it has a certain beauty in its tragedy. I'm so glad I finally watched it, I absolutely loved it, I never want to watch it again and I won't need to. It will be seared in my mind for the rest of my days.

Samurai Champloo
　Mini Review: Not sure why it took me so long to finally watch this one, but I loved it. The art style and animation was exceptional. The main characters were all fun, interesting, and shared great chemistry. I liked most aspects of this series, tbh. I guess it is no surprise that the character dynamics and flow of the story reminded me a lot of Cowboy Bebop. However, much like Bebop, my main disappointment with the series has to do with the ending. One of the storylines was very well wrapped up. It felt satisfying. The others just felt like the ending to a mid-season arc. Maybe it was done this way in hopes of a sequel? With a better ending this one would easily have been a 9+ series.

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi
　Mini Review: This was something I put in PTW but would never watch without a push, so thank you for the opportunity. I thought it was alright, but really wished they had taken more time to tell each story. 5 volumes of a light novel in 12 episodes is much too quick. After the first arc finished in episode 3, I wondered to myself, "why are there even 9 more episodes?" because it just felt like a good ending point. I think there were a lot of interesting ideas, and I liked how all these stories reminded me of Kino, exploring how other people in the world are living, but the idea behind each one felt like it could have been its own full-length anime. 5/10
Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi: Kioku
　Mini Review: The first segment of the special was just fanservice, but the other two were good for the plot. I wish they had integrated the contents of the other 2 segments into the show, but I also understand they had to do it after as they kind of spoil the reveals for the main stories. But by the point that you reach this special, they just don't hit as well, I felt. Still worth seeing, but not as strong as the series, so... 4/10
Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!
　Mini Review: I'd been waiting to see this as well, so thanks! Sadly, I didn't find myself enjoying it as much as I'd imagined. Too many politics, not enough comedy! My favourite parts in this series were when Cid was playing pretend, being a background character or weakling on purpose. I wish there was more of that, and less background girls taking up the whole run-time and adding nothing to it. I did enjoy some moments at least. 5/10
Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! 2nd Season
　Mini Review: After the first season I didn't have huge expectations for this one, but it still let me down. Even less silliness to be had here, and way more serious politics, what with the arc about economics and money printing, and what went on with Rose's kingdom at the end. The ending cliffhanger/teaser for the movie was wild, and does seem interesting, but I probably won't care to watch it by the time it comes out, seeing how I have found that I didn't enjoy this series. 4/10

Zankyou no Terror (3/11 Previously Watched)
　Mini Review: Thanks for the opportunity to finally finish this after letting it rot in my holds for 5 years :) I love darker crime dramas, but I wasn't able to fully connect with this one. Maybe it was the lack of a mystery element, or them not fully explaining the boys' past until much later (so I didn't understand the motive for most of it), but I think the real issue for me was it was all dreary, with no fun at all. I needed some good times to make the bad times sting more. I wish that's what Lisa was there for - instead of just being there to drag them down in the end. 6/10
C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control
　Mini Review: I thought this would be some mafia/heist show for years, based off the name, which is why I had wanted to watch it. I was pretty disappointed when it was in fact more like Persona. I got annoyed at how poorly they really explained their universe - it felt like I was watching an anime based off a game where they don't have time to delve deep, but there isn't even a game. There were good concepts like the real life consequences, but I was really not interested in the Asset battles, the economics, or the politics. The art also felt unfinished, with all the use of 3D for Yoga when he wasn't even doing any flashy actions. 3/10
Hoshi no Koe
　Mini Review: I didn't know this was Makoto Shinkai's early work before watching - I thought it was just a good obscure OVA. But it was nice to see his beginnings, and how even in 2002, his work had the same focus and themes. I liked the premise of the story, of being separated through both time and space, and how it showed the guy receiving the messages between the scenes of her sending them, even if in actuality, they were days, months, years apart. I wish the ending was clearer though, and that the girl didn't leave the guy hanging out for her even 8 years later. I wish he felt allowed to move on. 5/10
Mask Danshi wa Koishitakunai noni
　Mini Review: This was a very entertaining BL, even if it was pretty vanilla deep down, with a school setting to boot, and I don't usually care much for those. I had a lot of fun thinking up ways to describe the mask fetishizing here; "Mouth panties," "Chastity mask," and "Face condom" were all very good. This went by very quickly because of the fun I was having. I won't read it, but I had some good fun for 23 minutes. 5/10

Harmony
　Mini Review: I went into this at the worst time (didn't feel like watching anything but had to for the challenge) and with the worst mindset (didn't think I would like this), but it slowly gained my attention and drew me in. I ended up liking this in the end, and was really enamored with its themes of life, souls, and suicide. It took a while to get there, but I think its slow pacing was what I needed at the time to really get drawn in and engaged with the characters and story. What really got me hooked was the dinner scene with Cian. I wish it showed a bit more of the aftermath of the Harmony program though. 6/10
Wakusei Daikaiju Negadon
　Mini Review: I'm always on board for some early 2000s 3D animation! This was fun, I really liked how it emulated tokusatsu movies from the 1950s/early 1960s, including with a film filter and even the iconic "END" screen. It felt like a combination between Godzilla, Tetsujin 28-go, and Astro Boy, and I was here for it. The plot was really simple, but that was perfect for this length, and with everything else going on. 5/10
Karas
　Mini Review: This was something that felt too intimidating to start, so thanks for that push to finally watch it. I love stories with demons, but I found that I didn't care much for the mechanical designs here. The 2D/3D mix worked fine, but I was not fond of the dark colours and of how busy and muddled this always looked. I have the same criticisms as many others - the plot here is a chore to figure out as they don't give you enough to go on, and in the end it turns out to be a simple good vs evil story that you feel like it played a prank on you after you worked so hard to follow the story. There were aspects of this I liked, like the 2D designs of some characters, but I'm very much a person who rates most based on plot, and the plot is the main source of my enjoyment, so an anime like this that is more style over substance wasn't for me. 4/10
Semantic Error
　Mini Review: I think this did a great job advertising the webtoon, which is what it was made for. It was simple in terms of plot and animation, but by time skipping to important scenes in the growth of the relationship between the two boys, it made you interested in learning more about them (and see the explicit scenes they didn't animate). Very vanilla, and I won't end up reading it since it's so long, but I think it did a great job for what it was at such a short length. 5/10

Sakamichi no Apollon
　Mini Review: I wanted to see this show just a week before the event, but waited just in case I could use it here, so thank you Treach! It was the first one I watched for the event and probably will be my favourite. I just loved the relationships between the characters, their friendship was just so nice it made me tear up. I'm not big on romances, but I love historical dramas, and having the music element and friendship element kept this from being only relationship melodrama. I thought this would end more tragically (I had convinced myself I had heard spoilers for this show and it wasn't even real), and the ending wasn't the strong point of this show, but I do always appreciate a full and complete anime. 8/10

　Mini Review: Been meaning to watch this as an option in sooo many limited events, but it never worked out, so I'm happy I finally did! I thought it was historical and was looking forward to it for that, but it was just heavily military. Still, I really enjoyed it, and the premise was really interesting and well-done. The endings of both episodes really got me, I was yelling at Shin so hard at the end... I think I might read the manga for this one day - I think what I need for this series to be perfect for me is just more time - time to get attached to Shin more. The manga seems like the best version for that. Of course I also like Shin's design, very Joe-core, and the music in this was also a nice surprise, a good fit! 6/10
Birth
　Mini Review: I picked this to watch just because of the title. This was all about the animation, it really seemed like the animators had fun with all the chase and action scenes. But this left this feeling more like a CD-I quick time event anime cutscene game than an OVA with a plot. I swear 80% of this was chase scenes, with a fixation on Rasa's big red butt. The "birth" concept was interesting, but it didn't feel like they set it up well enough since their priorities were elsewhere. I can appreciate the fun the animators had, but I also understand its MAL score. 4/10
Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku
　Mini Review: I knew this was one of the early isekais, but it was one I would never get to if it wasn't for some type of challenge so thank you again! After watching fast-paced modern isekais and Karas that killed my brain, this was such a nice change of pace - literally, because the pace here was slow and steady the whole way through. This was much more brutal than I'd imagined, but I liked that about it; it felt real. It's just so nice to see an isekai not just following the same pattern, and also actually wrapping up and having an ending, and I wish there were more modern isekai like this. I had a nice time watching this. Not my favourite, but good. 6/10

Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san
　Mini Review: Quick and easy to watch iyashikei. True to the tags and name it doesn't delve too deep into any topic, and only covers the surface level of both being a live in cook and a maiko. Which is an aspect I really look forward to in all educational anime, but oh well. Can't stuff too much into a "healing" anime and have it stay as calm and peaceful as required by the theme. It achieves a good middle ground of what it set out to do. Perfectly average, bingeable and easy on the mind.
Despite my middling score of 5/10 I would recommend it to any who don't want to think too deeply about what they're watching and need a chill break.
Spy x Family Season 2
　Mini Review: Wholesome and enjoyable. I had my doubts going into it as the previous two sections (or parts) had for all their good a lot of moments that made me cringe and drove down the score. Thankfully there was far less of that type of comedy this time around. You get what you see and sign up for, no plot twists for the worse, no changing of direction in the middle of something. Just a wholesome old-timey (spy) family.
Spy x Family Movie: Code: White
　Mini Review: More of the spy family, but in movie form. If you like the series, you will like this. More of the same and with a higher production budget. Otherwise the humor and line of reason are exaggerated, the latter only feeding into the former.
Sennen Joyuu
　Mini Review: Beautiful movie about the life of a pure woman in love who never finds the person she's searching for. It's award winning for a reason and really embodies that vibe a lot of big money studio romance movies tend to have in the west. Though that's for both the better and worse since this format is likeable by a wide array of people it also has a bit of a limit to how enjoyable it can be to me personally. It is what it aims to be and manages to polish that angle it focuses on as much as possible.

Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi
　Mini Review: Typical romcom "love status quo" anime. Except this time they're not in school but ADULTS!!!! AT WORK!!! Unfortunately though the lady in question looks like an early high schooler and behaves much the same, so while it is incrementally better than a decent sum of these shows, expect the same everything as you would find in your standard high school romcom with little deviation from the formula. For what it's worth despite those remarks it is quite watchable and not all that cringe inducing, so it's better than most in the same category.
Buddy Daddies
　Mini Review: Charming and modern japan re-imagining of spy x family. Flat out the first more than half was just not my taste, too many moments where I knew what was going to happen, felt it was going to be cringe and had to pause to brace myself. It was prevalent enough to make me take multiple youtube breaks in the middle of episodes so I could go back down to neutral. It does get a decent bit better by the end, the last few episodes were somewhat watchable and just more in line with what I gravitate towards. But the constant pauses I had to make degraded my experience enough to just not feel good about this show, despite it being made quite competently otherwise.
Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san
　Mini Review: One of the better romance high school series I have come across. Was considering rating it as high as 8 at one point, but all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately it appeared in the form of a boring sibling rivalry. It succeeded in dashing my expectations for the worse and left me with a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. Had this series been a 2-cour and successfully finished that arc or focused more on the interpersonal than the external in the latter half maybe it would've fared better. It is what it is though and here's to hoping this problem gets resolved in season 2!
"Oshi no Ko" 2nd Season
　Mini Review: Hits hard in all the right spots. Doubly so with PTSD and the general sense of "you're not allowed to be happy" type of tired people get after being crushed internally. Worse than season 1 for sure, especially with the drawn out 3 episode long play. Which to be fair they worked long and hard towards, and had all the reason in the world to show in plenty of detail. But nevertheless it really did feel like a drag to soak up runtime at certain points. Both unfortunately and thankfully the background story managed to continue in the last few eps, but less to resolve somewhere and more to just build anticipation towards what could happen ...in season 3.

　Mini Review: Quite deceptive this one is. The first few episodes were utterly insufferable with the absurdist comedy and genuinely made me consider turning up the playback speed multiplier up. Thankfully for both my sanity and enjoyment that facade started to peel by the quarter way point, and showed the energetic fantasy gem hidden underneath the pile of mud on the surface. Though it still had its horrendous supposedly "comedic" moments all the way through till the end, it managed to resist the dark temptation and delivered on the power fantasy I crave and live for! Even if the story and especially world building were subpar at best despite all of the 15 minutes they spent building it up. All in all, by the end it actually became quite the enjoyable experience.
Hakozume: Kouban Joshi no Gyakushuu
　Mini Review: Gets the point across, you get what you see on the box. Though I am doubtful of how accurate anything is in relation to reality, it is a lot more down to earth than almost any other police TV show you can find out there. Greatly appreciate all the minor stuff they work in with every "case" as well. Even if the exaggerations they do at some critical moments blow my internal fuses and break the illusion. Said disbelief inducing moments for one reason or another also often ended up being funnier than their regular attempts at comedy for reasons unbeknownst to me.
Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor
　Mini Review: Apathy. That's how most of my reaction can be summarized. Watched a bum barely survive a high stakes gamble, end up worse off than if he had just not done it and then do it again, and again... Only losing, never actually winning anything of significance. And I just couldn't really be bothered to feel any one way other than annoyed at mister main character. However it did manage to pass the time without making me want to pause or stop, so it has that going for it.
Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii
　Mini Review: Age gap aside it is not a bad fantasy romance story. Ends up a bit on the basic side due to the era it originates from, with not that great a hook nor visuals.
Subsequently it fails to stand out too much among the crowd that has amassed over the years and it falls flat in multiple regards. But it is not a boring or bad story. Just an older format of something that has since become standard.

　Mini Review: Great all rounder, with a really solid start, the first few episodes do not disappoint and hook you in. Making a pretty solid foundation that they just iterate and expand upon from episode to episode. Later on details get iffy from a few different clashing inspirations, but not to the point of having the ever teetering bull suspension bridge snap or leak while actively watching. Despite that some moments have odd pacing in my opinion and the whole kinda esper, but not actually tagged as supernatural subplot near the end kinda feels off compared to established working of the system. Which would be my one big gripe with it all.
Seikaisuru Kado
　Mini Review: Unfortunate, it gets so many things right and then flubs at the very end. Pacing was essentially ideal, the topics and flow was exactly what I wanted to see, exactly what I was missing, to the point of being surprised at just how into it I got. But then around episode 7 they decided to go off to the side a bit. As per anime tradition it has a strict imperative that anything that airs on TV has to either have a beach episode or a festival episode. Which on its own wouldn't be so bad had that not been a sort of turning point, where everything started to curve away from the established standard. No longer was uplifting humanity with a diplomatic "how" in the cards. That became a secondary side-tangent that got brushed away. Instead the fun and intriguing aspects that got me hyped and hopeful were thrown into the bin and it just became another victim of human exceptionalism. Because humans are so different from anything and everything, they cannot be contained, they cannot be defined..... And any attempts at doing anything to humanity is THE GREAT EVIL!!! Illogical things happening for no reason, actions being taken for the sake of it, and a great big emotion first plan that in hindsight was just forcing a conclusion that nobody wanted nor needed. Congratulations Toei, I hope whoever wrote the second half of the script is proud of themselves.
Mononoke
　Mini Review: Disjointed and awkward visuals. Artist's intent is a weird thing. Though I understand what they were probably trying to go for with the given style, I personally can't exactly say that I liked it. Getting used to it took half of the series at least, but even after it just didn't make that much sense. Distracting is a word that comes to mind. Otherwise the story was decent and split into self contained chapters where any set could be considered a standalone piece, with the only ordering complaint being that a character speaks about events of a later story in an earlier one.
Sora yori mo Tooi Basho
　Mini Review: Cute girls doing unresolved drama. True to CGDCT form a ragtag group of high school girls get up one day and decide to go to the south pole with plenty of wacky moments in between. Unlike standard CGDCT form though it did get quite heavy for a good number of episodes there. Despite it being tagged with drama I was not expecting it to hit as hard. And though there wasn't much of it I did enjoy the odd tidbits and lore about traveling there, big ship practices in a nutshell and similar for the arctic base. As well as it being a self contained story with a proper start and finish, which isn't something you can take for granted even with other originals.

10/10 - No debate. No hesitation. This anime is that good.

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto had me glued to my screen from the first episode to the last. The pacing? Perfect. The intrigue? Gripping. The characters? Absolutely phenomenal.

Maomao and Jinshi? Easily one of the best duos I’ve ever seen in anime. Maomao’s intelligence, sarcasm, and unbothered attitude make her such a refreshing protagonist. She’s not just another “quirky” female lead; she’s actually competent, sharp, and doesn’t magically get everything handed to her. And then there’s Jinshi - I don’t even know where to start with this man. He’s complex, layered, and the dynamic between him and Maomao is 🤌💋. The chemistry, the tension, the push and pull - it’s just so well done.

The storyline is rich and immersive. I went in expecting a slow-life medicine anime and instead got a mix of mystery, court politics, and deep, satisfying character interactions. The buildup to every reveal is so well-paced that it never feels like the story is dragging. And the final arc? Absolute perfection. I was hooked. Every piece of the plot weaves together so smoothly that I never once questioned its pacing or depth.

And can we talk about the animation and music? Stunning. The visuals capture the elegance and intricacy of the setting beautifully, and the character expressions are on point—especially Maomao’s deadpan looks and Jinshi’s subtle reactions. The music complements the atmosphere perfectly; it’s never overbearing but always adds to the moment.

This anime deserves all the praise it gets. Zero complaints. No flaws. Just pure enjoyment from start to finish.
Spy x Family Season 2 ✅

10/10 - Because I’m Biased and Proud of It

Okay, let’s just get this out of the way - I love Spy x Family. I was already obsessed with Season 1, and Season 2 just gave me more of what I wanted: the perfect mix of action, comedy, and the most chaotic yet heartwarming family ever. If I had to sum up my thoughts in one sentence, it would be: This season was everything I wanted and more.

First off, can we talk about the Damian and Anya moments? They were absolutely adorable. Every little interaction between them had me either laughing or melting into a puddle. Damian trying so hard to act cool while being completely flustered by Anya? Gold. And Anya, as always, is just effortlessly funny - her expressions alone carry half the comedy in this show.

The side stories were also a huge win for me. They didn’t feel like filler; they just added to the charm of the series. Whether it was a goofy one-off episode or something more heartfelt, every little story made me love these characters even more.

Now, the Cruise Ship Arc. Easily one of the best parts of the season. The action? Intense. Yor being an absolute beast? Incredible. But what really made it special was Loid desperately trying to keep Anya entertained. That outfit change scene? Hilariously perfect. I was wheezing. Watching Loid go from serious world-class spy to dad mode will never not be funny.

And then there was the family time on the island. Just…🤌💋. Seeing them actually relax and enjoy themselves, even for a little while, was so wholesome. They deserve all the happiness in the world, and I will fight anyone who disagrees.

Honestly, there were so many moments I could go on about that I’d probably end up writing a whole essay. But at the end of the day, Spy x Family Season 2 was exactly what I wanted: a perfect mix of action, comedy, and heartwarming moments that remind me why I love this series so much.
Spy x Family Movie: Code: White ✅

10/10 - Because I’m Biased and I Don’t Care

Listen, I already knew I was going to love Spy x Family: Code: White before I even watched it. This series could give me a two-hour episode of Anya making weird faces, and I’d still eat it up. So, was the movie perfect? Maybe not. Were there inconsistencies, plot holes, and a lack of screen time for some characters? Sure. But did I still have an absolute blast watching it? Absolutely.

First off, Anya was in peak form. Her facial expressions, her chaotic energy, her absolute Anya-ness - everything was on point. Watching her try to prove herself (while inevitably causing disaster after disaster) was both hilarious and adorable. She really is the heart of this series, and every scene with her had me either laughing or just thinking, Yeah, that’s my girl.

Then we have Yor, the queen of overthinking. The Ferris wheel scene? PERFECT. If you know, you know. The way she spiraled into panic mode over what her colleagues said had me screaming. The dramatic thoughts, the unnecessary conclusions - it was such a Yor moment, and I loved every second of it. Meanwhile, Loid was just out here casually being the world’s most overqualified husband and father, completely oblivious to her inner turmoil. Classic Forger family dynamics.

Speaking of Loid, his rescue scene? Amazing. This man is out here pulling off impossible stunts to save Anya, and then Yor just follows behind him like it’s no big deal, effortlessly taking down threats with her usual oops, did I just destroy that person? energy. They’re so ridiculously overpowered, yet somehow still the most wholesome family ever.

I'll be honest - the movie wasn't perfect. Some characters were barely present, and there were definitely a few plot holes. But did that bother me? Not at all. It was a thrilling, action-packed, and heartwarming Spy x Family adventure, which is exactly what I signed up for. In the end, it felt like a high-budget filler episode - and I mean that in the best way possible.

7/10 – A Short but Intriguing Ride

I went into Bus Gamer knowing it was only three episodes long, but the premise immediately grabbed my attention. The idea of three strangers forced into an underground survival game for corporate warfare is unique, and the fast-paced storytelling keeps things engaging. There’s no filler - every episode delivers action, but the short runtime means the story never gets the chance to fully develop. It’s clear there’s more beneath the surface, but with no continuation, it feels like a setup for something bigger that never came.

Visually, the animation was alright - not terrible, but definitely not impressive for its time. The art style has a cool, gritty feel that suits the urban setting, but the animation itself felt a bit stiff and inconsistent. The soundtrack was mostly forgettable, though the opening theme was enjoyable. What really kept me watching was the dynamic between Mishiba, Nakajou, and Kazuo. Their clashing personalities made for an entertaining trio, even if they didn’t get enough time to develop.

Overall, Bus Gamer was entertaining but ultimately frustrating due to its incomplete nature. It had potential, with a solid concept and fun character interactions, but with no real ending, it leaves more questions than answers.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hashira Geiko-hen ✅

10/10 - Ufotable nailed it again!

10/10, no question about it. Ufotable once again knocked it out of the park with the animation. Seriously, the visuals were on another level - every scene was beautifully crafted, and the action was so fluid it felt like watching a work of art in motion. I was absolutely glued to the screen from start to finish.

Getting to see each of the Hashira in the spotlight was just 🤌💋. Each of them had their own moment to shine, and I loved that. They’ve always been such compelling characters, and this arc really gave them the time they deserved. Seeing how each Hashira handled their training sessions and their personalities was such a treat.

Tanjiro continues to be the heart of the series, and it was so adorable watching him inspire everyone around him. He’s that ray of sunshine we all need, and seeing how his optimism and determination rubbed off on the others made me smile.

Inosuke? Classic Inosuke. He was his usual wild, hilarious self, but you could also see his growth as a character. That balance between goofy and serious is always so entertaining. And him teaching Nezuko how to say his name was hilarious.

Zenitsu was, well, Zenitsu. He’s still the same scaredy-cat we all know and love, but I couldn’t help but feel for him when he read that letter. My gut tells me it was something tragic like it hit different this time.

And then there’s Muzan. Oh. My. Gosh. His walk alone gave me chills. The way Ufotable animates his presence is insane. I swear, every time he’s on screen, it’s like the atmosphere shifts, and you can’t help but feel that overwhelming dread. As Jake from Brooklyn Nine-Nine would say: "Chills. Literal chills."

Honestly, there are so many moments to talk about that I could be here forever, but I’ll leave it at this - this arc was an emotional rollercoaster. The action, the character moments, the atmosphere - everything was perfect.

But seriously - leaving it on a cliffhanger like that? No fair. I’m dying to know what happens next. Ufotable, you’ve done it again, and now you’ve got me eagerly waiting for the next part.
Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka ✅

Jun’s journey of self-discovery and the gradual way she rebuilds her connections with others felt deeply relatable.

The character development is one of the film’s biggest strengths. Jun’s transformation from a quiet, withdrawn girl to someone who slowly learns to open up and express her feelings is truly moving. She’s supported by a strong cast of characters, like the baseball captain, Tasaki, and two other classmates, who all have their own struggles. I really wanted to love Chiisana Eiyuu: Kani to Tamago to Toumei Ningen, but it ended up feeling a bit uneven for me. The visuals are definitely the highlight here—there’s a lot of attention to detail, and some moments left me genuinely impressed. However, despite the strong animation, the storytelling felt shallow at times. The emotional impact didn’t quite land as strongly as I hoped, and I was left wanting more from the characters and their arcs.

The film’s format of multiple stories is a double-edged sword. There’s an emotional depth to the themes being explored, but the way they were handled left me wanting more. That said, the film still kept my attention with its intriguing premise and moments of genuine beauty.

6/10 - a decent watch if you’re here for the visuals, but the story and characters left a lot to be desired.

I went into Bucchigiri?! with pretty high expectations, but sadly, it fell short in a lot of areas. The premise had a lot of potential, but the execution just didn’t hit the mark for me. One of the biggest reasons I couldn’t get fully invested was Arajin - I absolutely hated that character. He grated on my nerves from the start, and his actions throughout the series just made it worse. I get that some characters are meant to be polarizing, but his presence really dragged the experience down for me. I found myself constantly frustrated whenever he was on screen.

That said, MAPPA’s animation is the one thing that kept me from dropping the show. The fluidity of the action scenes, the sharp visuals, and the overall attention to detail were top-notch. It’s clear that the studio put a lot of work into bringing this world to life, and it really shows. Honestly, the animation was probably the only thing that kept me watching, as everything else felt pretty lacklustre.

Despite the beautiful animation, the story and characters just didn’t do it for me. The pacing felt off, and there were moments where I couldn’t help but feel disengaged from what was happening. It’s a shame because I was really hoping for something more exciting and engaging, but ultimately, Bucchigiri?! didn’t live up to my expectations.
Kaijuu 8-gou ✅

10/10 - a thrilling mix of epic battles, strong characters, and stunning animation!

Kaiju No. 8 has quickly become one of my new favorite anime series! The animation is absolutely fantastic - every fight scene is a visual treat. The intensity of the kaiju battles is matched perfectly by the fluid animation, making each punch and explosion feel real and exciting. It's one of those shows that you can't look away from, especially during the action scenes.

Speaking of those fight scenes, they were amazing. The choreography is top-notch, and the kaiju designs are incredibly unique and detailed. It's obvious a lot of thought went into making the battles dynamic and thrilling to watch.

The characters are another highlight. They strike the perfect balance between lovable and hateable—meaning you'll probably find yourself rooting for some while wanting to shake others. I love how complex they are, with personalities that feel fresh and real. And shoutout to the strong female characters 🤌💋. It’s so refreshing to see well-written women who aren’t just side characters or love interests. They have depth, power, and personality!

Now, let’s talk about the boys. Hoshino - 100% yes, please! Like, hello, damn, this guy is hot. He’s got that perfect mix of charm and mystery that pulls you in instantly.

And Kafka - um, he's a literal daddy. His character growth, the emotional depth, and his struggle with balancing his kaiju powers and humanity make him incredibly compelling. There's something about his character that makes you want to root for him no matter what, even if he's a bit of a mess sometimes.

Honestly, I can't wait for the next season! The cliffhangers and the direction the story is headed in have me absolutely hooked. If you haven’t started watching Kaiju No. 8 yet, you’re missing out on an epic ride. Definitely give it a watch!
Mashle: Shinkakusha Kouho Senbatsu Shiken-hen ✅

10/10 – Non-stop Action and Laughter

The animation is seriously on point this season - everything from the vibrant colours to the smooth action sequences just makes it a visual treat. The fight scenes are both epic and hilarious, perfectly balancing intense moments with the show's signature comedic flair. I found myself laughing one minute and on the edge of my seat the next, which is a rare combination, but Mashle nails it every time.

As always, the characters are a huge highlight. They’re just the right mix of lovable and hateable, which keeps the story fresh and exciting. I’ve always been a fan of Mash, and he doesn’t disappoint this season - his mix of absurd strength and deadpan humour still cracks me up.

Rayne is absolutely my guy - he’s got that calm, collected energy that makes him easy to root for.

Finn definitely proved himself this time around, and I loved seeing him step up in a big way.

Then there’s Dot and Lance - their interactions are hilarious! Their banter never gets old and always adds a nice comedic touch. Ifykyk which scene I’m talking about 🍼

Of course, Lemon is doing what she does best - being Lemon, and I love every second of it. Her quirky personality brings something unique to the group dynamic.

The OP and ED are absolutely amazing! The opening theme, “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,” gets you hyped with its energetic beat and catchy lyrics that perfectly capture the fun, action-packed vibe of the show. The visuals match it perfectly, bringing out the vibrant and dynamic energy that makes you want to jump right into the action. The ending theme, "Tokyo's Way!" is just as fantastic, with a laid-back, catchy tune that contrasts the high-energy OP but still keeps the mood fresh, and the visuals are just as stunning. Both tracks are a perfect fit for the series and set the tone for each episode!

Overall, Mashle has me hooked. The action is intense, the comedy is on point, and the characters are just so much fun to follow. I honestly can’t wait for the next season to drop—there’s so much more to explore, and I’m all in for whatever wild ride comes next. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you’re missing out!

Helck
　Mini Review: Oh boy what a journey this anime brought us on, from a silly light-hearted comedy fantasy for the first half, keeping us intrigued by the mystery of Helck's intentions in the demon realm, and what was going on with the humans. Then when it finally came time for Helck to reveal the story of his past, I was fully hooked and could not get enough. Through this, the show sees a very sudden mood shift as we go into darker, sadder aspects of this world, but always making sure to have important messages promoting hope, as well as the continuance of the light-hearted comedic scenes to keep us perfectly entertained through it all.
Houkago Shounen Hanako-kun
　Mini Review: It was honestly an enjoyable watch, it had been quite a while since I watched the first season, so watching this helped me remember some of the characters I had forgotten about haha. I really liked the Mokke throughout, they had plenty of funny moments, especially with them interviewing to become the next Wonder and the reason is to destroy the world. But one of the best moments was Hanako hugging the fire hydrant and Nene's reaction, so all in all was quite enjoyable, really liked the light and cute comedic aspect of it all.

Stranger: Mukou Hadan
　Mini Review: Really loved to see their relationship go from them practically hating each other to them willing to do anything to save each other. I was also so scared the whole movie that the dog was gonna end up dying at the end, but thankfully he was okay, and his added presence was a constant joy in the movie. But also the music throughout was so good, it went really well with all the fight scenes and got you into it, absolutely loved it!
The Samurai
　Mini Review: It was a lot better than I was expecting based on the score and since I was watching it for my lo-score... I enjoyed the first part the most as it had a lot of funny moments, especially with the teacher taking part in his training to get used to women, and the mom walking in to see something scandalous each time haha. While all the characters were very bizarre they were portrayed in such grandiose ways that it just made them quite funny.

Good Morning Call
　Mini Review: Had watched the first season of the live-action last year, and it was good, so thought I would watch the short OVA, but didn't read the synopsis first to know it was a random part in the middle... Nonetheless, I was able to enjoy it for what it was and there were a bunch of things that happened while also feeling like nothing happened at all. But the fact that she messed up which day his birthday was caught me by surprise, but was also really funny.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Kuinaki Sentaku
　Mini Review: Really enjoyable, only wish it could have been even longer, I really like seeing the three friends interacting together. But was really sad to see what happened to them at the end, but wasn't too surprised by the outcome, since this is Shingeki no Kyojin haha, especially since I didn't remember them from the main story either, so it didn't look good for them from the start. As usual, the music in the show is really good at showcasing the mood and always fits very well, love Shingeki no Kyojin insert songs haha.

Kanata no Astra
　Mini Review: It started off pretty good, and then just kept getting better from there, especially near the halfway point when we started exploring the backstories of the characters. The exploration aspect was very nice to watch especially since they seemed to be having so much fun, and it was interesting to see how different and unique each planet was. And the twists at the end really shocked me, I was right there with Polina haha like your home planet is what now!?
Dr. Stone: New World Part 2 - Previously started: 3 eps
　Mini Review: You can never go wrong with another season of Dr. Stone, it's always so good! Lots of great moments in this season, especially with the infiltration team and Ginrou dressing as a girl for the harem haha. And even crazier adventures are still to come as they set out for the other side of the world to create something mindblowing once again, so excited to see what comes next, but crazy to think it'll be the last season soon, especially with almost 100 chapters left to adapt...

Love Live! Sunshine!!
　Mini Review: After much delay, finally got around to finishing this show. Its very formulaic and similar to OG love live but somehow feels elevated across the board with the characters and writing. The songs are some of the best in the franchise and I look forward to finally finishing up aquor with their movie which is good timing considering their last live is soon. Its interesting to jump from OG to niji which tries to focus more on individual girls and performances then jump to superstar that is the a revamp expansion on the LL formula but then go back and compare to sunshine which is what feels like the more polished and see how they all compare.
5-toubun no Hanayome∽
　Mini Review: This feels like the main series realized they fked up with giving the girl who won basically zero screen time and retroactively adding all the content they cut from the manga. The Episodes themselves were very fun and nice and reaffirm that Nina is best girl. Other then that, this is just a glorified OVA with some extra fluff that tricked me into watching it because it wasn't labeled as such.
Natsume Yuujinchou: Ishi Okoshi to Ayashiki Raihousha
　Mini Review: Unlike the other Natsume movie I recently just watched for another challenge, this movie is a lie. its just two OVA episodes smush together. Luckily standalone chill 30 min stories fits natsume perfectly so it wasnt a issue. The Sake episode was a lot of fun. The second story I wasn't as big of a fan since I wasn't quite sure where it was going until the last bit with the friendship fight and that immediately won me over.
Hanamonogatari
　Mini Review: Big fan of Rouka and her dynamic with Kanbaru throughout the story. It was a very nice well package story with a bit of a bittersweet ending. I kind of wished Kaiki was more involved but I'm really impressed at how much kanburu has grown throughout the series. Rouka was a surprise on how much I swapped back and forth on how I felt about her and I think the reveal with her was really nicely done and resolved.

Yoru wa Neko to Issho
　Mini Review: Being one of the shortest thing I watched, there isn't much to say here but I will say... this show hits different when you own a cat. You relate and vibe with the main character so much and nailed all the stereotypes and quirks to owning a cat. A very cute show and easy to binge.
Mangirl!
　Mini Review:I don't understand the score for this anime at all. I mean sure its short and kinda silly but thats feels like exactly what the show is aiming for. That being said the seiyuu carried the show pretty hard for me, especially kayano ai. I think i would've liked it to be a bit more informative about running a magazine/editorial stuff but at least them making a anime about themselves in the end was a nice way to come full circle.
Hoozuki no Reitetsu
　Mini Review: its a pretty episode fun anime with a wide range of cast to keep the dynamic pretty fresh throughout. Not all the gags are create equals with some being far funnier then others and some running a bit too long for a small punchline. The art style and setting is what stands out the most of the anime and still remains unique to this day.
Obey Me!
　Mini Review: Knowing nothing about this franchise, I dove into this show but no prior knowledge was needed. The show was very lighthearted and superficial so it was easy to get into. That being said im sure people would enjoy it a lot had they played the game before. Lots of good skits, the dog, fire, detective etc that helped made this entry fly by.

The iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors [Previously Completed: 2/12]
　Mini Review: So so sooo many girls but luckily they're broken down into units and each unit is given their own mini story which made it easy to get to know all of them. As expected from a giant franchise, each unit tackles a different kind of trope/genre with semi decent writing for widespread appeal. The music is good of course, if only it got more then a mid animation adaptation from polygon.
High Card: The Flowers Bloom
　Mini Review: I'm honestly getting real tired of OVA's being disguised as episodes way later in the series. The only thing that semi related this to the story of the TV show is Leo's appointment to lead the company which honestly was not that important to the story at all. They should've at least gone all out and made it more fanservice, giving all the characters and persona a bit of a cameo.
Xian Wang de Richang Shenghuo 4
　Mini Review: Show really leaning into its chinese OPM rip off gag by straight up stealing memes from the show and adding it here. Im glad that sun romance is progressing nicely as that was 50% of the reason why I keep up with this series at all. Also nice that they gave her, her own OPM moment as that was very satisfying to watch.
Blue Lock: Episode Nagi
　Mini Review: I initially wanted to save this for if I ever decide to watch season 2 but secret santa said otherwise. Unless you're a hardcore Blue Lock fan or forgetful and needed a refresher on season 1 I would pass on this. The only thing this movie adds to the original season one is exploring more about Nagi and Reo's relationship before the anime and as well as during it in some of the matches the anime didnt cover. It also gives a whole new appreciation and insight for their betrayal climax. In that sense I suppose I appreciate the anime putting in the effort into making the movie slightly different and adding more behind the scene content. Which for basically what amounts to recap entry, that's all you can really ask for. They probably shouldve just marketed as a recap instead of a cash grab spin off movie.

Rising Impact Season 2 [Previously Completed: 1/14]
　Mini Review: Its crazy that seven deadly sin was this author's best work. Also equally crazy that the moment the anime started to get the slightest bit interesting is where the anime decided to stop. I would say that making everything a super power in sports is dumb and not needed but then I look at Kuroko no Basuke and this and compare it to less popular non super power shows like Aoi Tonbo and Ao Ashi and apparently im wrong in that regard.
Omoide Poroporo
　Mini Review: very interesting dynamic to have the character along side her 10 year self in this journey. And to have them tell both their stories alongside to indicate her character growth at the same time. It always interesting and nice to see what japan was like during a different time period and the movie gave us a glimpse of what it was like during the 60-70's, a time period rarely touched upon.
Spy x Family Movie: Code: White
　Mini Review: Its a weird combination of being both the classic spy family ridiculous but also the movie this is a ridiculous and very much miles away from anything to do with the main story. There are some good moments in here. The poop gag reigning above them all (maybe spy family has reverted my humor to a 5 year old) and the yor gag at the start was also good. It was a fun movie but there isn't anything particularly noteworthy to praise it on.
Kurenai no Buta
　Mini Review: I forgot how much I missed old ghilbi style art style. its so charming and nostalgic. my biggest gripe is him being a pig is kinda unnecessary and not really explained but that very minor in retrospect. I love Fio's energy and optimism and how sets the tones in all her scenes. Despite being a war plane dogfight/pirate all these kind of dark mature themes lying around, the show never lost its silly entertaining vibe from start to finish.

@foxxykat1223 Remember that the reviews should convey your opinions on the anime, not just restate what happens. Please share a few more sentences on what you thought about the following anime:

- KisKis! Wo de Nanyou Shi Bohe Tang
