In his past life, Prince Lloyd de Saloum was a commoner who could not become adept at magic, no matter how knowledgeable or obsessed he was about it. Now reincarnated into his current royal lineage, he receives a body with seemingly endless mana, making his desire to master all things arcane attainable. Moreover, as the seventh prince of the kingdom, Lloyd has no claim to the throne, allowing him to nurture his abilities as freely as he wants.

Surprisingly entertaining and right up my alley! This anime has everything I love—an overpowered main character and a story where it’s just smooth sailing! If you enjoy watching a protagonist who can easily overcome any challenge thrown their way, this show definitely satisfies that itch. The plot itself isn’t groundbreaking, but it doesn’t need to be, especially if you’re into the classic OP protagonist trope. While some parts are a bit predictable, they’re still fun if you love this genre.

While the protagonist is super likable for fans of OP characters, I did feel that some side characters could use a bit more depth to make ... them stand out. The main character is unusually powerful and smart, and while it’s part of the fun, it can make the story feel one-sided at times. There aren’t many moments where you feel like the stakes are high, which makes it easy but occasionally a bit slow to watch.

It’s not a 10/10 because I found myself taking a few breaks while watching; some parts dragged on a bit and got repetitive.

Mixed Feelings

If you're cool with getting put on a list, this will be an enjoyable watch.

On the positive side, the animation is absolutely incredible. The animators took the approach of using chibi characters both for dramatic effect and to allow more time to draw fight scenes. This decision gives more of a "Saturday morning cartoon" feel than some might prefer, though it isn't terribly off-putting. On the flip side, fight scenes are beautiful, with special attention being given to the usage of magic in combat.

On the negative, just about every woman in this anime has googly-eyes for the 10 year old MC. It's very ... surprising that this anime hasn't received the Harem tag, given how often the MC ends up buried in the chest of some new or returning woman.

Overall, it's like if Michael Bay and Jeffrey Epstein got together to redo High School DxD.

ahhh i tried to give it a shot and toughen out to ep 7 but i just can't look pass the pedo shit and the OVERLY sexualizing kids. Not sitting right with me at all. This goes beyond "fan service" cuz who the pedo shit for? Its. every. freaking. episode!! And if they like that type of stuff ...FBI PLZ LOCK THEY ASS UP!!! SEEING REN was my last straw bruh i cant with the outfit, what little girl is wearing that?? I wanna give it a score so low in history but imma give it a 3. And before u be like "its ... just anime, its not real life" I'm side-eyeing you crazy.👀
