Yeah I watched Perfect Blue long ago, but I removed it from my list because I want to rewatch and rate it with more understanding.

A friend of mine told me about Solo Leveling, didn't seem like something I'd like, but I do have it on my list.

Yeah the live action drama ruined some of the later parts of the manga, it had a decent first season though in my opinion.

I didn't know the story of The Count of Monte Cristo before watching Gankutsuou, so I can't tell if that would make it more or less enjoyable for you, but it does have very good directing and unique visuals.

Oh isn't Paprika the movie that inspired Inception? I will definitely watch it, I've been looking for good anime movies recently, anything else you'd recommend?

Oh, I haven't met a Liar Game fan in a long time! I'm sure I'll be seeing thousands next year though, never expected it to get an anime adaptation by Madhouse!
Well, judging from your favorites, I recommend Gankutsuou, I have a feeling you're gonna like it a lot, also Sayonara Eri, a brilliant one shot manga.

i'll have to learn the language eventually, but i have some time before then. my family also doesn't even have our visas officially yet since they've been taking so long to process our stuff lol. already feeling that.

i like crete so far, but i liked athens a lot when i visited. feels even more alive, and i like living in cities. i'm thinking of moving there once i can

it's definitely not the best, but it was the best option. i've just been riding off the back of my parents' golden visa, and that's working great for me atm. i'll just have to do a year of digital nomad or student visa when i'm not longer able to, and i'll have full greece citizenship with the freedom to move anywhere in the eu if i want to. if some other place ends up feeling way better, i'll probably end up there instead. also, i live in crete now lmao

in some ways, definitely, but it's far less soul-sucking being here than it was in the us. greek healthcare is worse, but i won't potentially lose all my savings and go into debt because i had a medical emergency like i would in the states. the economy is worse, but all of my earnings are coming from a remote job based in the states, so i'm only contributing to greece without having to deal with any lower pay. i have no clue if education is actually worse, but even if it does, i'm not going to school, and i'm not planning on having any kids that'd go to school either. the quality of life also feels a lot better. sure, the infrastructure isn't as nice, and things are less clean, but the food doesn't feel like it's slowly killing me from all the chemicals, and the concept of "wasting time" isn't nearly as important, so its easier to relax without worrying.

i can totally see why people in greece would want to go somewhere else, but living here is far better for me personally. the way things are in the us was gradually grinding away my sanity, and i've felt so much better and lively since i left. there's a few things i miss, but they're necessary sacrifices. the grass is always greener on the other side, i guess?

hell yeah. i only moved here recently, but i'm not planning on leaving
