| It's kinda cute seeing Lum so small...but from her perspective also a very scary experience. She doesn't deserve to be locked in that cage though. Tbh, I liked the second half of this episode more. It gave Shinobu a chance to shine and she saved a fox from bullies! I love their chemistry this episode even if it wasn't too long. Now only one more episode for the finale. |

| Ten getting a big bottle from an unkempt merchant, and it actually sucks her in, making her tiny. The bottles come as a set of a little and big bottle, and Lum takes the chance for Ataru to shower her with love and affection. Ah ha, Ataru reading another of Rumiko Takahashi's works of Maison Ikkoku, a nice reference. And the secret is out of the bottles, which turned its ugly rearing head on Lum. Through Gosack the Scarecrow which didn't see his business profit, it was coincidence that the last bottle was there to change her back to normal. The fox spirit trying to find Shinobu for it saved her life, it's heart strucks gold. But it appearing in class to make a fuss as the polite Ataru, it was just repaying a favor...and transforming into other people instead. It's still fun though. A popularity contest between the ladies, it's original fun, especially Ryunosuke's part. 1 more episode to go, and it's a full-on ladies fight. |

| Now thats a pretty shady bottle seller. But man thats what you get when you use something without reading the instructions. Still Mini Lum is pretty cute. The op to restore her to her usual size though sure was a close one. Shinobu's strength really is something that always amazes. Still a lovestruck fox huh interesting. And man that was quite the amusement that it provided us. The contest to find the prettiest girls within the school was pretty fun though. Curious to see who would win that. Overall a fun ep that intrduced some interesting characters and situations for the cast that provided excellent comedy and screentime for the family cat too. |

| They finally gave us the much deserved Maison Ikkoku references |
| Man, I miss Lum's dress from the OG version of the first part. Ik it was anime-original but it was one of the best Lum outfits ever that only appeared in 1 episode afaik. I understand that including this outfit in the Remake wouldn't make sense without the context of the date but it's still a pity. What's weird is this story happens pretty late in both the manga and the OG anime (chapter 272 and episode 161) so it's very strange that Season 1 got this instead of all the other great stories it skipped that were supposed to happen before this. Ataru and Lum's relationship in this episode felt very different because of this. Highly recommend watching OG episode 161 because it's phenomenal what Studio Deen did with it. I liked Kitsune in this episode more than I did in the OG anime though. So that's something. But still not a fan of this character. Really loved all the Maison Ikkoku references though. I wish Kyoko and Godai made proper cameos. Speaking of Godai, his VA Issei Futamata made another cameo by playing Gosaku the bottle seller in the first part. Both of the episodes went by really quickly. So I realized instantly there was going to be a post-credits scene. It's a loose adaptation of the prologue chapter of the Miss Tomobiki manga arc! Boy am I pumped for the season finale. The Miss Tomobiki, or as it's called here, the Tomo-1 Queen Contest story was butchered in the original anime. So it's amazing we're getting it remade, something we couldn't even imagine a few years ago. Principal's lines in the OG episode 91 almost seem prophetic now. Marinate1016 said: Don't worry. | Shrinking time. Another one of Takahashi-sensei's works makes a cameo! Ataru's switched away from being tsuntsun when the cat was fighting Lum outside. That Kitsune with his transformation magic reminds me of Shippo from InuYasha. Oh, a beauty pageant. With the prize of enough money to revive the beach house, Ryunosuke's dad, suddenly supports her endeavours of being seen as a girl. |

| The first two bits are ones I haven’t seen in the OG yet, and I really enjoyed them both. The first one with Lum becoming tiny was really fun, we also got some sweet Ataru and Lum moments thanks to Lum’s lie, I especially loved her reading Manga with Ataru and chilling on the cup lol, something about her being tiny made her cuter but I guess that’s because of the obvious answer that tiny equals cute lol, and the manga being Maison Ikkoku was a nice reference, I’ll need to check that series out once I finish UY. And by the end Ataru really wanted to save her after initially thinking it was all BS which I really liked to see. And the bit with Shinobu and the lil fox was cute, it really fell for Shinobu and ended up trying to impersonate Ataru and Onsen which made for some hilarious moments, I liked this bit a lot but this one felt like it was missing something and I’m sure the OG will fix that when I get to it. And lastly as an after credits bit we got the beginning of the Miss Tomobiki stuff with the side girls getting ruled out in the grip contest, I thought for a second they were gonna speed run it but thankfully it looks like there’s more, the episode of this in the OG was really fun but I heard it’s way different in the manga so maybe we’ll be seeing a more manga accurate version here for the final episode of this 2nd cour. And since we’re nearly at the end for now I wanna say how fun this remake has been and how glad I am that the announcement for it got me to check out the original series which I’ve been absolutely loving, looking forward to the rest of the OG and this remake. |

| Poor Lum became tiny due to Ten buying weird items. Luckily she was able to return to normal size before the last bottle was destroyed. That segment with Shinobu and the fox was really cute and I hope we see more of the little guy. We had the Tomo-1 Queen Contest in the after credit scene, but we have to wait until next week's finale to find out the results. |

| I've been thinking on it a bit (having not seen the OG anime or read the manga) and this episode reaffirms the vibe I've been getting since Lum went home and left the doll behind. I'm speculating that Ataru obviously has attachment to Lum, but there are one or more factors holding him back from expressing it - 1) he's been hitting on every girl he sees for so long that it may be reflexive, and 2) since he's been pursuing Shinobu (and Sakura, and the ever-expanding intergalactic cast of ladies) since he met Lum he might think she would stop liking him if he changed drastically enough to only have eyes for her. 3) A big part of their dynamic comes from frequent, though usually fairly minor, conflict (cue shock) and removing the primary source (denying the relationship and pursuing other girls) would make her (and the viewers) bored. 4) I'm really gonna shut up soon, i promise, but despite his enthusiasm, it doesn't seem like he's actually that into the girls he's hitting on (zero resistance to being rejected after he locked Lum in the cage, just takes the slap and dances away. Shinobu was an exception, being that he was at least mostly serious about her at the start). 5) almost every post on this episode topic reinforces Katanashi-kun's theory that smaller is cuter, this part is unrelated |

| This episode is pretty good I would say. Finally we got good Atalum moments in the first half. It's been really scarce to get a decent one this cour. I glad they still use Maison Ikkoku mangas in this chapter and it's quite a joy to see both of them reading the panels. The addition of their talk about where to sleep before the goodnight sleep is really a nice touch. The second half the kitsune seems not that annoying because it's his debut episode. His infatuation towards Shinobu starts from this chapter so it's not that apparent. The long awaited Tomobiki beauty contest is finally here. The prologue of this arc is kind of breeeze through here but still have the same story. This particular arc is one my favorite from the manga with how unhinged and wild the contests are plus the twists. But I kind of worried on how much rushed it would be since there are 4 chapters worth to adapt for next week episode. The prologue is only one and it's already a little rushed here. |

| This was a sweet moment to see, especially the 1st part. Even in the original series, those moments where Ataru really shows his affection or concern for Lum are rare (probably less than 10% in total), at least they put 1 or 2 in this remake. One of the down parts of only having soo many eps was the number of eps that the 4 main characters have (the love quartet: Lum -> Ataru -> Sunobu -> Mendo -> Lum), in the original there were plenty, probably the major part of them because it was for that that everyone knows this series, but in this one it's the opposite, you can count them with one hand since they spend soo many eps inserting as many characters as possible (which is great for a big series, not a 23 eps one, maybe they plan a second season?). That is the big concern I have with this remake, not the censure part, nor the Ten air being green, nah! The major down is that this series, all those characters, their story, and evolution ask for more eps. The next ep is the last of the current season, let us see what big final they plan to do xD |

I don't read mangas, I will NOT read mangas, I will not listen to what manga readers complain in adaptation to the anime counterpart, I only watch anime except in very few and specific situations. |

| That first half was lovely, damn. Concept, comedy and some romance, very cool! Felt really well paced, like, was surprised it was so short with much happened. Second, Shinobu was very nice for the kitsune. Okay half, was super tame compared to a lot of the recent ones though, haha. |
