Haha, i give up, getting too attached to characters will mostly result their death so I'll just watch it for the action, the limbs flying up and down... and the story of course.

Glad that Shura guy is dead, didnt like him from the start... but his imperial arms is cool.

Always gotta find something to complain about, read the fucking manga then.

Exactly.

I am shocked by the reaction this anime gets. A character dies who also die in the original material, and an anime gets an anime original ending to an original material which has no end. So that's it? That makes it the worst anime ever? Justifies it to rate it with like... a 3/10? Jesus fucking Christ.

This anime is a solid 7/10 or 8/10 if you ask me.

There are some things that should have never existed in the world. And people like them. Akame ga Kill has never bored me. Some anime almost made me black out due to boredom, and the best part is I'm not joking. But hey, favorite character died and we get anime original ending so it must be worst ever, right? No argue with that.

Why am I shocked tough? The same people also trash Berserk, one of the greatest anime ever made. Silly me.

So now they drifted from the manga and are going for anime original shit? Well I don't mind since I didn't read the manga as long as it's entertaining, not that this series was anything other than average since the beginning though...

Also I noticed that despite this show being called "Akame ga Kill" it sure as hell doesn't focus a lot on Akame..

Am I the only one who was completely lost from ep 19 to 20? I mean, on ep 19 we see Wave and Kurome f2f with Susanoo and Leone, also Najenga talking to Esdeath and then, on ep 20 it almost seems like none of this happened. What did I miss?

well, i didn't read the manga. But is this adaptation worst than tokyo ghoul? Because at least to me the animation of white fox is much better than studio pierrot (that killed the story of the manga not only once but twice)

I didn't read the Tokyo Ghoul manga, but I heard that people say that the first season was very messy in terms of adaptation (they skipped arcs and placed the arc of Tsukiyama, who chronologically happens after the arc of the Doves, before that arc) and the root A was anime original.

I'm currently reading the manga of Akame ga Kill, and the series, on the other hand, sticks with the manga storyline faithfully (although skipping some scenes) until the last part of the episode 19. On episode 20 onwards is an anime original ending.

Judging for the bitching of the fans, I think that Akame ga Kill is a better adaptation.

The last episodes of akame ga kill were a mess IMO, but i wonder if the only one to blame is white fox. I don't think they are a bad company. I'm watching utawarerumono and they are doing a good job so far.
Studio Pierrot, on the other hand, butchered the manga of tokyo ghoul in both seasons (they sad season 2 was original but they used a lot of things that happened in the manga) and they'll do it again in season 3

Well, taking into account that after the episode 19, they skip at least 14 manga chapters and that White Fox rushed the fights like crazies, is normal that the last episodes were a mess.

And respect if White Fox is the culprit of the anime original ending, I heard that the mangaka of the series gave the studio instructions to follow the route that they follow in the anime (tbh, the manga is fairly similar, only less rushed and with more enemies that comes with the son of the Minister). I'm not sure of that though.

I heard that the last arc of root A is an arc of the manga (the one when Anteiku and the Doves fight each other). While I agree that Pierrot didn't respect the manga, I don't think that White Fox put a lot of effort in Akame ga Kill.

14 chapters is really a lot of information. It looks like white fox screwed up the adaptation after some episodes. That's not a nice thing to do.
I don't know why they call the mangaka to help but at the end of the day they don't even use the author's ideas (some people said that sui ishida helped in season 2 but then i also read that it looks like pierrot did not used his ideas).

So, I was getting kind of annoyed by Syura's English voice (I'm watching this on Toonami, so sue me), so I decided to check out the sub version. Holy shit! How could they get the English version so wrong?! He's actually palatable in the sub version!

Also, what was up with Lubb's (Lub? Lubb? I don't know) death? I mean, judging by everything that happened prior to that moment, it looked like he was just gonna go splat, but instead he gets skewered? What??

And how, exactly, does one place a marker IN SPACE?! (Or wherever the hell that was supposed to be...)

What the fuck, that blue haired girl was DEAD. How the fuck did she revive just to stab Lubbock and die again? I call BS.

Lubbock's death was BS.
I mean, really? That's how he's gonna go? THAT was forced.

Too forced.
How that guy "marked" a place out of the time and space realm?
Why did they reappear kilometers above ground?
How did that blue haired girl revive just to stab Lubb and die again?

They just wanted to fulfill Lubb's deathflags. That's it.

Still pathetic in that it could easily have been prevented if he'd just clipped the whole bunch as soon as Shura slashed the woman's throat.

Same goes more or less for Chelsea, who should have just taken Kurome's head when she was down.

This kind of stuff bothers me. In combat making sure your enemy is truly dead is one of the first things you learn. Yet in anime, veteran assassins keep making this mistake again and again, just for drama.

Also, why they didn't just bail when Lubbo spotted the blood oozing from under the door is beyond me.

Real shame in this case, as Lubbo x Najenda was perhaps the most interesting ship, but one hardly explored.

I still think he can, just not when he has used too many in one go: there is a limit too how many he can have out at a single time.

Eww, Syura's back this episode.

Well they introduced an original character this episode..

I'm not familiar with the manga and don't want to do any googling in case of spoilers, who is the anime original character in this episode?
I do have to say, even as someone who hasn't read the manga, this show has drastically downgraded in quality of action and writing. I find myself getting really bored here and its unfortunate because I enjoyed most of this series, even if it is clearly just a fan-service product.
There use to be some actual tension in the fights with care taken in the freeze frame sakuga panels, haven't seen this style been used in quite some time.
It's really too bad, I am going to find it hard to recommend this show to anyone with the direction it took after the introduction of the Jaegers

I don't give a fvck about the manga. The anime delivered and I was truly moved by the episode. Manga readers are the worst when talking about anime. Just fvcking leave your preconceived expectations from the manga and enjoy the anime as a separate entity.

If you hate the episode or series solely on the direction it's going then that's fine. We can have a discussion but if you cunts are coming from manga bias then gtfo.
"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.

Too bad it was again too abvious that Lubb will die after his future plans were shown, too bad that he died because of that stupid slut, but if Tatsumi got captured then Lubb would also be or be killed by this Buddo.
Then again maybe Lubb could do something with his wires and block the thunder and use it against Buddo by conducting thunder into Buddo. That would be better I think.

LUBBAAAAAaaaaaAAAAaaaAAA

I liked pretty much everyone who's ever been on Night Raid equally with the exception of Chelsea, lol. So yeah Lubba's death is awful. But I think some of us could see it coming with the way Lubbock revealed his future plans to Tatsumi before their mission.

Man there's a lot of dissatisfied people in the forum and I can't say I blame them. But still, I'm not turned off by the plot or anything. It's a little rash to kill of tons of the main cast, including Lubbock, in the fashion in which they do... but, I don't know, it kinda works imo. Still, it's all the bish's fault for stabbing Lub. Screw her.

P.S. In the manga he dies in a drastically different fashion (being sliced in half). It's kinda cool that the characters can live (or suffer) entirely different fates in the original version of this story. So after some people watch the anime, they can re-experience their favorite characters (in new scenarios) in their manga forms.
