| It's a 21 volume series where the first season adapted the first 2 volumes. Unless they skip a LOT, there's no way they're going to reach the ending. So talking about whether they go with the novel's ending or come up with an original one is moot. |

| NGL I couldn't believe it until I watched the PV...so random lol. I can't believe it's already been 8 years since I watched it. I never imagined in my life this would get a second season, especially when I heard about the LN ending. Not too interested tbh, especially cause the new character designs look terrible (why do they all look so cutesy and baby-faced?) but for the sake of continuity I'll probably still watch the second season. |

| Dengeki is really bringing a lot of adaptations back from the dead. First Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei and now this! But the real question is how much of the material are they gonna adapt. There's 21 LN volumes and the first season only covered two volumes. Even if they adapt 3 volumes per cour, that would mean Maou-sama will need another 6 more seasons for it to get a complete adaptation. Plus there's a lot of side novels too... Maybe they might skip a lot and make a dash towards the end, or maybe they'll still leave the adaptation incomplete. I do know that a lot of people aren't happy with the LN's ending anyways. Thanks to Dengeki's new way of treating LN adaptations, seeing a return of Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon, Accel World, Spice and Wolf, Sakura-sou, and/or Baccano isn't nearly impossible anymore :D |
