| Hamura makes no sense... She doesn't want civilians and such to get involved, yet she doesn't hunt familiars that need to eat x amount of humans to change into a witch because saving others like that and being kind would be a weakness. The type of wish affecting your powers like self healing is a really cool development too. I wonder what kind of power the other girls got from their wish type. I just hope we get to see some episodes of Madoka as a magic girl and not just the last episode or 2. It doesn't seem like Kyuubey cares at all about anything besides making people magical girls, I wonder if he has some other motive. |

| This new girl is pretty badass, I think she could be my favorite character, at least for now. Madoka's whines etcetera are pretty understandable and absolutely in line with her character, but I don't seem to find any shadowed characters, really. I always feel the sense of danger, the last bit of episode 3 did a really good job. I'm liking this show, but still I really want to feel way more engagement with it, because it has all: atmosphere, well-written story, semi-phylosophical mattersand all, but still.. That cat is evil for real, I mean witches are a real threat and obviously having the power to reclute people that can stand against them, he does his best, but how can he tell that he doesn't enjoy witches and magical girls end in a bloody war between each other. Those eyes are sick. And when the guy Sayaka rescued was playing the violin, everyone got the certainty that he will soon die, maybe by a witch's influence. That would really beat everything. |

| Kyouko is fukkin' scust. No words for how much I hate characters like her. All right, so I see what it is about this show that make people rave about it as the best thing since Code Geass: it's dark and edgy as shit. You watch a mahou shoujo and expect it to be light and fluffy; you don't expect (hero characters) to die and you don't expect the magical girls to fight with one another. Thus, Urobuchi throws the mahou shoujo concept on its head and suddenly everybody raves about it like it's so innovative and special, even though it's actually doing the same thing plenty of other series have done, just not in the mahou shoujo format. |

| Great episode. Homaru needs to get out more, she's too depressing. That cat needs to stop putting too much pressure on Madoka, she'll make up her mind when she's ready (though since she's the MC, she needs to hurry up). Sayaka's transformation, throwing swords style and the fight between her and the other MG was neat. |

| Magical girl fight! Woot! Sayaka was impressive standing up to the new girl like that. Liking Homura more too, but Madoka less... I get why she's hesitant and scared, but it's starting to get a little annoying tbh. I just want her to put her big girl pants on and become a magical girl already. I hope we get to see Homura fight more soon. ✿ 5/5 |

| Sayaka's sword style quite similar to Mami's guns. Kyuubey sure is manipulative. Homura enters the scene, just before Madoka decides to become a magical girl. |

| Oh, Homura why'd you have to interrupt Madoka's transformation, why! I know you're worrying about her life and stuff but her best friend was about to die! I still love you but next time don't butt in, darling lol Madoka needs to stop moping around and grant her wish already. Five episodes in and still not Magical Girl Madoka. Hopefully, she will have more faith in her confident in later episodes. Kyouko is slowly becoming my favorite with Homura being first. She's an eater like me ! |

| Why would you want Madoka to become a magical girl... Mami and Homura have made it pretty clear how horrible life as a mahou shoujo is. Sayaka's choice to become one was stupid, and it's a shame, since she is my favorite character. I have mixed feelings about Kyouko @-@ |

| I'm starting to really like both the OP and the ED, no more skipping it for this anime. The violin scene was really nice, i can understand why Sayaka made the contract losing the ones you really love can indeed be scary as fuck, i wonder if she is going to regret the decision she made. I really tought Madoka would made the contract there, but Homura interupted it, i really like how she doesen't want other girls to make the contract, she makes it clear that it's not a happy go lucky solution, but instead it's a decision where you drop everything for a single desire. |
| The job is hard enough because of how powerful witches can be but when other magical girls want a piece of you it just makes things more difficult. I don't think it will be long now until Madoka becomes a magical girl. |

| ...Why do I still get the feeling Madoka will try to bring back the dead, despite Homura's words? The time manipulation thing Homura had does indeed invite the possibility that she is a future Madoka or something, though that's a pretty wild guess. It would explain Kyuubei's "she made a contract, but she didn't make a contract" response to Sakura if Homura came from the future, at least. This was the first episode I felt like I could really get into. It's kinda interesting how each of the mahou shoujo's perspectives are different, but Sakura seems to be the first that seems completely amoral (I'm still not fully buying Homura's aloofness). It was a great fight too. Whatever the background situation may be, I find it interesting that Homura always shows up in the nick of time to stop a situation that would lead to Madoka making a contract. |

| I have found the concept of other magical girls in other cities always very interesting. Ties in lovely with the plot later and gives everything a sense of scale. |
