 Ok, judging from Kohaku's feature, she probably belongs to a race of people who didn't got petrified , but how come she manages t speak Japanese, if it were millennial ago, then the Japanese language would already disappear. |

| I still find it weird to see the OP animation playing 9 minutes into the episode. XD But that's no criticism at all. The first 9 minutes was dedicated to finishing off Senku's backstory and how he found Taiju, his first discovery of the miracle fluid and how his first uses of it wasn't as successful as it is now (Senku's facial expression when the fluid didn't work on Taiju the first time was funny XD). Back in the present, Senku eventually regained his consciousness, to the relief of Taiju and Yuzuriha. But in order for their main plan to work against the inevitable Tsukasa army, Senku parts with Taiju and Yuzuriha in order to find people who'll join his cause. And the first person came along a lot quicker than I thought. It was the hot-looking Kohaku, who went to Tsukasa and tried to kill him after witnessing, from afar, Tsukasa's hostage taking of Yuzuriha and "killing" Senku, but try as she might, Tsukasa easily overwhelmed her and broke a tree that pinned her down. Senku was nearby and came to her rescue with his Archimedes-inspired rope pulley that lifted the tree off from Kohaku's body. Thanks to this, she's taken a big interest in Senku now, so it's pretty much guaranteed that she'll join Senku. =3 Looking forward to seeing more people that both Senku and Tsukasa will encounter further down the line. =) |
| I thought muscle-guy and crafts-girl would kick it early in the story because of their limited presence in the opening and ending and their absence in the character sheet of an early volume of the manga. I'm glad that's not the case even though they kind of got written out of the story. |

| I found the first half of the episode boring. Too many monologues. Less talking, more showing please. We can work things out ourselves. The series was screaming for another character and I'm glad Kohaku showed up. |

| Surprised how much shipping already started. Feel like that’ll calm down as the series progresses. Watching this episode made me realize how funny it is that we see Senku & Taiju talk about how much they mean to each other only to split up xD. But there are some key things addressed. Why the series is called Dr Stone, why Senku wrote E=mc^2 on his collar, and lots of foreshadowing & hints dropped. But truth be told everything so far has been a prologue. The real story starts now! |

| The birth of a new nation, one that Senku birthed from nitric acid alone...or so I thought. Science is much more complex, and Einstein's formula proved that. Oh well, for now it's the current Tsukasa and his Empire vs. the revitalised Senku finding out the source of the flame from last episode. Kohaku makes her debut...in the most flashing way. The Archimedes way of saving her, that's ingenious in a world without science, or in its heyday of a new nation. Great episode that goes back to the starting point, then expanding upon where it left off without lots of infodump. Oh, and the balance between seriousness and comedic ridiculousness. Now this is the REAL starting point! |

| Best girl Kohaku is here! :D Her face's expression looks quite funny in the anime, haha. I read one comment claiming that Kohaku's face looks "derpy". I wouldn't call her like that. The artstyle corresponds perfectly with Boichi's artstyle from Dr. Stone's manga. What's more, the idea on drawing female faces in general is original and doesn't make them look "derpy". For me they look good and fit both into manga and anime (so two different ways of telling the story). The scene in which she encountered (or rather attacked) Tsukasa was nicely animated. It showed good action sequences and the difference in skill between Kohaku and Tsukasa, however Kohaku is already very skilled. It's also good to have an ending for this cliffhanger related to Senku's death and the story can move on. Though it was necessary to show everything that i.e. previous episode showed, like Senku's first weeks after depetrification and such. Story could've stayed in one place, but was enriched with many details. Alright, mates! Everything up until now was only the prologue, an introduction. Real fun and awesomeness are nigh and true Dr. Stone's potential is about to be revealed in the next episode (though it started already when Senku met Kohaku, technically). |
| Ok, so Yuzuriha is fine after all. She wasn't on the new art for the anime so I was a bit worried something might happen to her. Then I guess the guy in blue by Senku's side is not Taiju. Now, that backstory with Senku in the beginning didn't make any sense. I was under the impression that he hadn't thought about using a stronger acid before, or hadn't realized he could make nital by mixing nitric acid and alcohol. But he knew both those things, and all he needed was alcohol, and he didn't know how to make it??? I bet most people in the world know at least the basics of fermentation and distillation. This is barely science, it's basically folk knowledge. Why would a genius like him need Taiju to point it out for him?? |
| Tsukasa is really hardcore for hitting Kohaku, I never thought he would dare tried to kill her but :O I'm glad Senku has found an admirer in her, but Yuzuriha is hotter and deserves to be with him than Taiju! |

| Love now they separated ways just to defeat Tsukasa. And both of the boys got their own partner which is good. Still waiting for the time when Senku got his own army that can defeat Tsukasa. |

| Senku remembered when he was alone and investigated the nature of petrification. Senku woke up and talked with Yuzuriha about the regeneration properties of the petrification, she gave him a flag; they decided that Taiju and Yuzuriha will follow Tsukasa in his path and Senku will build an army (get support). Tsukasa encountered with a blonde girl that attacked him (she doesn’t know that much about technology), he quickly defeated her and left her under a tree trunk, Senku heard the noise and got there (Tsukasa left), he spent all the evening building a pulley system to lift the trunk, finally, setting free the girl (Kohaku). The decision to send Taiju and Yuzuriha with Tsukasa was quite intelligent. This girl confronted Tsukasa and lost, Senku saved her, she looks really sexy, potential couple. I think Kohaku is probably the daughter of revived people, she doesn’t know about modern life, but she knows japanese, so, it makes sense to me. |

| oh hell yes - a new creation, a new character, new explanations and theories, so much new stuff! senku and taiju's friendship is like my favorite thing lol. they're so hilarious together and it's clear that they care a lot about each other. they both learn from each other and have enough faith in the other to separate for however long it takes to infiltrate tsukasa's civilization and to gather allies. i'm super excited to see where this goes. |

| The music is so good at adding to the hype. It'd be been better with some Hiroyuki Sawano vocals, but everything would be better with those XD Senku has finally parted ways with Taiju. The only thing Senku is interested in is science. Not every shounen has the MC gets the girl in the end like Katekyo hitman Reborn or Gintama so you can't really certain that it will come true. thats more like an exception than a rule though |
