For those who agree with Tsukasa's point of view, I'd ask you a simple question.

Do you think this Dr. Stone anime or most of the other great anime are made by a bunch of high schoolers?

Do you think the fact you can use internet, browsing website, typing in Mal right now, playing games, enjoying computer and technology is because a bunch of high schoolers made these for you?

Children and youngster got those foundation for granted from those who layed out the foundation for them => older people who live a longer life than you.

Tsukasa's point of you is biased, childish and edgy.
It's like those chunni kids who think everything is other people's fault, and the world is revolved around them.
Bad people and good people can be of any age, any gender.
Also eventually young people would grow up into older people too and become just like them. Are they going to kill themselves then?

Dr. Stone himself is well aware of all these. The reason why he's so knowledgeable is also because he learned all those knowledge from all the information and foundation laid from other older people. He didn't come up all these scientific stuffs from his own.

No shit they will grow older, that's not the point. He says outright, that it's not about age. Tsukasa thinks that the older people will bring back the old power structures along with them as well as demand their recognition. Young people are much less likely to do so in his eyes. It's not a case of young people vs older people, it's a case of bringing back the old world or creating a new one. Dr.Stone says that he only wants to bring everything back because of his own personal bias, same goes for Tsukasa. I do not see how they are any diffirent in that respect.

And why would he assume young people wouldn't do the same?
In fact younger people tend to be even more selfish and uncontrollable in general, and without anyone/ anything to restrict them, wouldn't it become an even worse society than it already is?

Just look at elementary school and high school as a mini society, there're already power structure, hierarchy, bullying already laid in foundation even with someone controlling them. Imagine with no restriction, wouldn't be even more of strong prey upon the weak society?

Also Tsukasa himself want to be the king to role them all? His strength is way beyond human capacity and can beat the top of the food chain in one single punch, and without modern weapon no-one would have any chance to stop him. Wouldn't that be the same thing as to someone who's in power controlling everything?

Also you said age doesn't matter, Tsukasa just randomly kill someone because he looks like an old geezer or something, there's no rationality, just own personal grudge against older people, and attribute them all as bad guy.

Another question being, I thought people who lost consciousness when they're stoned are truly dead or something, why now it looks like they're still alive? Everyone has the ability to keep conscious for 3700 years or something? If being conscious is really something so special, I bet only a handful of people can be able to truly be revived anyway. Or they're just gonna pull some plot convenience later on and make all the key characters be someone that's "special"?

Oh, I have no idea what he wants beyond what he himself had said, I haven't read the manga. Same for your other quesetions, no clue.
As for the structures, bringing back the adults means surely bringing the old world back, while not doing so has a lower chance in his eyes. Whether it's true or not, that remains to be seen. As of now I like that way of thinking, but it might very well change

They really lost that bet with not reviving a murderer first amirite. I enjoyed seeing how calcium carbonate can be used as it is also a component of bones. I assume an explosive or weapon of some sort was the fourth thing that it could be used for but played it off as three when he realized that Tsukasa couldn't be trusted.

Things i like about the anime for now:
-voice actors really fit their characters
-pacing - 2 chapters per episode for now so it should cover story up to chapter 45 which is perfect for a break cuz it ends first arc
-it's a good adaptation, I mean no changing, no skipping (when it comes to important things)

Also what I like about this story is that it's not good VS evil but ideals VS ideals
You may not agree with me, it's just my opinion.

Shishio Tsukasa, the overpowered murderer they were trying to avoid!!! That said, I don't get his thinking at all. Pureheartedness has nothing to do with age so I think the world would still end up having classes and taxes even if they ended up waking the young along. In the first place, high school students are some of the most hierarchy obsessed age group thus waking up the youth alone would only turn the world into a wide scale high school-not a world I would like to see.
Anyway, I am happy that the anime is closely following the manga.

I totally agree with you!! It's always sad to see a manga butchered by the anime adaptation so I am relieved that it's not happening in this case. Also, your like points are very on point. I am quite impressed with the voice acting.

I think Tsukasa's point of view isn't about hating adults, rather, he doesn't want to revive the specific people who used to be in power.

He wants a new civilization to be created that doesn't concern itself with ownership of land, taxation, and power hierarchies, which is why he is against bringing back those who would support a civilization akin to the former one.

On the surface, Senkuu's perspective is more humanitarian, but I think that his goals come from pride as well. In addition, he likely wants to preserve the knowledge that everyone held in the previous world.

so in short:

FUCKING HELL IT'S NOT AGEISM

So is the implication (when he changed his mind from 4 things to 3) that the shells can be used for a weapon of some kind? Gunpowder or something like it?

I tought the same... Senkuu at first got scared because Tarzan after being release just ask for the actual situation, he's obviously not a normal guy, and for the fourth thing since Senkuu just changed the subject when realized how Tsukasa was i would think it will be a counter measure agains him...

As you said a gunpowder is probably the answer since it was made with saltpeter in medieval times.

A good episode! This anime, besides being unique and really interesting for its story 👌, is very funny 😁.
Now, quickly, new character joins, Tsukasa. He is an incredible guy, in what hunting and fighting skill is concerned. It's amazing how a high school student can have that superhuman strength.
It is obvious, that Senku and Tsukasa have clashes in their way of thinking about the future of human civilization. Everyone has their good points. On the one hand Tsukasa is right about the "people with power" and on the other Senku, who defends all life, no one has the right to take it away.
Actually, I like this anime 😁. I see you will have everything. It will cover many topics of interest as the story progresses.

For now, as Taiju said, humanity has the 3 Musketeers "Intelligence, Strength and Power" 😁. You can get very far with that.
Hahahaha, and do not forget that he said "Yuzuhira does not have a whistle", LOL 😂.

PS: 1. Go, who would say that the name of the series is due to a soap, the stone of life, "Dr. STONE" 😅.
2. I love the ending 👌.
3. What will be the fourth use that Senku can give to the Cal ?.

Dunno, mate. But making something like that in an anime that pretends to be full of science is ridicilous. Tarzan-kun of course looked awesome when he defeated a lion with one punch, but on the other way it looked pretty naive. ;p

@Dolabella , I think the same as well. Tsukasa is not about old people, but not reversing petrification towards certain people, like those who were in charge earlier; those who wanted to preserve previous system which gave them benefits, power. That kind of people Tsukasa sees as a threat for a reborn civilization concept which is taking place already after they were petrified for such a long period of time.

When I read what this was about I wasn't sure what to expect, but it had the most interesting premise of this season's series. The way how the story is slowly progressing from the stone age to a modern society is fascinating, I love how they are explaining the crafting process of everything and what materials it needs to crafted.

The new guy looks a bit too jojo to be honest, he looks like one of the pillar men; and is also exaggeratedly overpowered, but it is acceptable as this is a shounen after all.

Senkuu gave Taiju the decision to revive someone, he chose Yuzuriha. They went to the tree where Yuzuriha is, but before they could do something, a herd of lions appeared, with the urgency, they used the potion to revive a strong guy named Tsukasa, he scared away the lions and joined them, helping them hunting animals. In the beach, they ate fish, Tsukasa found a women’s statue under a rock and Senkuu talked about lime and its uses, it can be found in shells, it can be used as fertilizer, cement and soap; Taiju started to collect shells. In the beach, Senkuu was talking with Tsukasa about Tsukasa’s childhood (shells), Tsukasa suggested to revive only the ones with good heart, but Senkuu said that he’ll revive everyone.

The episode was ok, Taiju wanted to revive Yuzuriha, but he didn’t achieve it. It looks like Tsukasa is going to be the main villain due to his ideas against bad people, and it turned more to a moral decision to revive everyone or only the ones that you want, but the more people you have, the more pressure you have. Also, we don’t know if somewhere people revived by their own too and are developing their civilization, obviously, everyone has an idea of technology, but no one like Senkuu. And there's a fourth use for the lime but Senkuu didn't want to talk about it, it could be weapons or something he didn't want Tsukasa to know.

what you just said about internet, smartphones, streetlamps etc comes from this little thing called "innovation" and this comes in all ages. you're just butthurt that what Tsukasa said clearly resonates to your disgusting conscience. usually I'd just tell you to grow up, but here you are and just getting older and older.

i both agree and disagree with Senku and Tsukasa,

- The most of mad scientist doesnt give a fuck if their knowledge used by a bad guy or good guy... So thats why Senku just want revive all human, without exception.

- if we kill all greedy or another human with bad deeds.. it will be heaven on earth..
- even senku agree with it, there's no guarantee that later would born human with bad deed.
- i dont think senku can revive ALL human before someone would fuck'm up

Both Senku and tsukasa had their own purpose.. thats explain why tsukasa still awake at night and Senku made a crossbow

But still, it is fun, goofy, and the ideas it is presenting are intriguing.

I feel the same way you do. I know that this is anime scifi and requires to turnoff your thinking brain, but having this guy be basically Superman, requires some getting used too.

That said, he brings up some very good points Does everyone need to be revived?

Boy this anime is a real treat
Taijuu thought exactly of what I was thinking. Yuzuriha is naked. There is a really simple solution for this. He could have made her a dress and drew it over her before undoing the petrification or simply put it next to her and stood away. She would have instinctively reached for it. It would have been also a good way to show his emotions for her.

That Tsukasa guy is really good. He looked so ominous in the opening. He showed that side by the end of the episode. I think this is why Senku hid the fourth use of calcium carbonate. Is it used for gunpowder. It wasn't connected directly to gunpowder when I searched it but he is a genius. He can make gunpowder out of it.
