| The namesake manga was actually quite charming - but even with the artstyle aside, I think it's just way too camp for the contemporary audience. Without major changes, it'd have to be targeted at the manga? or hardcore gundam fans - which I'm not sure is a big enough audience. Everything after the first run seems like cheap cash-ins though - but nips everyone loves their crossbones and astrays variants, so who knows. mmmm mmm |

I mean campiness and cheesiness didnt stop build fighters from being really popular. Going for a full origin adaptation is probably better though. |

| Perhaps for their 50th anniversary they'll remake 0079 Or perhaps they know that's a stupid idea cause 0079 I'd a piece of shit and to make it good they would have to change so much their grandkids will still be feeling the pain from the fanbase |

It's less hot blooded shonen like BF and more wackyish tominoesque youths with environmental messages - throw in some cheesily good v. evil muahaha supervillainry and maybe that gives a better picture of it. A new 0079 would be a huge stroke of nostalgia, but I'm not sure there's much other reason to do it except to restoke that fire. Yasuhiko def changes things up a fair bit with his focus and 'clean up', but aside from the original flashback stuff that's already being animated, and an altered ending; it's still the original anime. I guess the dual reason would be to initiate new fans into UC. |

As an aside, many people think that Yoshiyuki Tomino is the father of Gundam and it’s clear he did have a role in its formation and writing. Yet after reading both the manga and now seeing the anime of The Origin I am more inclined to think the heart of Gundam was and always has been Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. Especially as the recent Tomino series Reconguista in G is somewhat of an erratic endeavor. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE |

| I can confirm: the festival arc in BnHA is lit and anime viewers should be excited for it. Hype-inducing, fun, doesn't drag on, can still surprise the reader by taking some unexpected turns in its later half, many characters get a chance to shine and my boi Todoroki is quite literally the best thing since A Son(g) of Ice and Fire if I do say so myself. Also kudos for the seamless transition into the next arc. AzureDaora said: since TripleS got into Mahou Shoujo I'm still wondering why he hasn't watched Madoka yet or even the things like Mai-Hime and Yuyuyu I think Madoka should be really obvious. It's controversial and many of the people who like it claim it defies genre norms. By that alone it will probably be one of the last ones I try of the main ones I'm interested in. Plus there are other well-regarded supposedly-different but less-controversial ones I could go for like Utena or Princess Tutu. The only thing I know about Mai-Hime is that it's supposedly edgy, shoujo-ai, and has a cool Yuki Kajiura OST. I'm not super confident in it, but I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Taking a look at the stats page reveals generally higher scores than I imagined it would garner. I have no idea what Yuyuyu is and doing a MAL search didn't help. |

Princess Tutu actually plays out like a normal mahou shoujo, but just weirder. A lot weirder. Actually, it's more akin to a fairy tale, if anything. Yeah, Mai-hime is pretty edgy. I liked almost everything about it (especially the ost masterwork), enough to give a 9 and a place in my top 10, up until... well, something. It's still well worth a watch, though. Yuyuyu is Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero/Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru. It plays out like a SoL Mahou Shoujo until the later episodes. it's pretty good, and the OST is god tier too, made by the guy that did the OST for NieR and Drakengard. |

Seeing that you haven't seen Utena either I'll take that with a grain of salt. I didn't actually know it was mahou shoujo at all until around the time I started Sailor Moon since apparently hardly anybody ever talks about it in that context, and I need an excuse to watch it sooner rather than later anyway. Hmm. Yuyuyu is quite short for a mahou shoujo at only one cour. I wouldn't mind going ahead and giving it a try sometime soon I guess. I'm seeing some Madoka references about though; would you think I'd be better off holding up on Yuyuyu until after I watch Madoka? |

There's not really any references to Madoka I think, more like similarities (how similar the characters look and act), but PMMM and Yuyuyu are vastly different from one another in basically everything else. It's alright to watch Yuyuyu first. You'll react maybe like "oh both series have a blonde pigtailed characer that acts as their senpai" but nothing else. Yuyuyu is pretty tame and dare i say relaxing at the first half too, it plays like a club shenanigans SoL with the Mahou Shoujo club and it's great timing too, since the WaSuYu movie trilogy is going to come out (Yuyuyu's prequel movies). One movie is already out in theaters. |

I'm surprised you still have a link to this post but yeah, if I have to get triggered one way or the other I'd rather it be by strangers on AD that I can easily ignore in the future instead of people I deal with on a daily basis. My safe space was not safe anymore :> At least that was my thought process back then, now I just don't want to get sucked into a timesink like this again because god knows I waste enough time already :>. Although sometimes I do miss it, but again I heard you all migrated to discord anyway and that's not really my cup of tea so it kinda stopped my considerations about coming back that I had a while ago. But if people @ me I always check out what they are gossiping about. I'm looking at you fst, you've done it like 4 or 5 times since I left the club :P. |

| Also i didnt say it last night but hot damn that little witch episode was charming. I'm really enjoying the show alot more after episode 11 and up, i guess cause it is developing things along nicely, seems like the villain might wind up being introduced next episode which i do think could improve the show but if handled incorrectly might mess things up so lets hope it still retains the charm and optimism whilst still creating a proper conflict. And i repeat, damn the akko haters, she a cute and I like that shes gradually got more competent as the show continues |

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me |

| Kamisama no Memochou hasn't changed one bit since I first watched it. What a show. Those final episodes are still some of the most devastating I have seen in anime. That final scene is still one of the most bittersweet. And those final words. Hope in anime just keeps getting revived. |
