| Excellent First episode. This show is hilarious. Good OP & ED Song. The art & animation is great. The VA for Sakamoto is perfect & works really well. He is so damn fabulous & stylish. Love his poses. When did he have an umbrella when he was in the toilet? That was pretty funny & those repetitive sidesteps. Even the bullies love him now. Sakamoto saving the bird. Sure got some amazing luck there. Also having a little duel with a hornet using a compass. So cool. Studio Deen doing a great job so far. Looking forward to seeing more. This could potentially be one of my favourites for this Spring Season besides JoJo & BnHA. |

| Remember when everyone was saying how Tatsuya Shiba from Mahouka was OP? Welp, Sakamoto just surpassed that standard. This anime can only be described with one word: Stylish. |

| WE are certainly living in some bizaro universe. Two seasons in row, DEEN is set to deliver an anime of the season. DEEN. Just let that sink in... Very strong first episode. This is basically what OPM could have been if OPM was actually good, had good writing and had an actual message beyond memes. Sakamoto at least from first episode, feels like a subversion and metaphor for bullying. A lot of episode focuses on typical school bullies trying to ruin a guy's life, but unlike in real life, everything from circumstance to the guy's own wierd nature, turns against them. While the show is comedic and the comedy timing is brilliant, the anti-bullying message it carries is extremely empowering and inspiring. At the same time the show brilliantly pokes fun at the anime genre cliches and the bishonen tropes. The comedy timing is pretty much perfect and I pretty much lost it when the teacher saw them dancing around the fire. But the top of the episode has to be the battle with the bee. I rate this Swag out of Five, would bang. |

| holy shit this was great. Probably the best start to the season, besides JoJo. And easily the best OP of the season. Just like its main character, that OP has a lot of style. This was so funny, and it reminded me of Gintama's brand of comedy, in a way; the dancing around the fire killed me. Even the bullies couldn't help but fall in love with him after that whole incident. lmao. Very strong start. Studio Deen is kicking ass lately. KonoSuba and Rakugo in the Winter, and now Sakamoto-kun. And Hocchan in the next episode! This keeps getting better and better. |
