Also from its title (A Scum's Wish), I guess some people might hate it... seriously, i am totaly same with you not see that (kuzu no honkai adaptation) coming, lol. this series totaly not your usual romance. i don't see how developed this series with cencored most of it controversial content. most of them are very important to series and can't can't be ignored without damaging the stories. probably they will go in extream ways and pushing cencorship rule until it limit like school days. |

Kabaneri looks like a mix of Attack on Titan and Highschool of the Dead (without all the panty/fanservice shots and boobs defying the laws of physics). I actually like the artstyle of Battery and I've been getting more into sports anime recently it feels more mellow and laid back compared to the other sports series as of late. Fune wo Amu I feel would be boring, but it might be the gem of the season it depends on what will be airing in the Fall. Kuzu no Honkai I'm watching I'll probably read the manga beforehand just because I'm interested and I don't think I can wait a few months. xD |

Is this a new fad -shrug- Saekano is just another one of those light novel adaptation with some waifus in it Ranpo Kitan was fucking shit Punchline and Subete ga f ni naru were enjoyable but they didnt really stood out and people were split in half about them. This year it sounds like they are redeeming themselves. |

All these look about the same, but seem to be very good fits for the block and interesting. ...Except for Saekano, yeah fight me but it's just not the kind of show that deserves to be on a block like this |

Dont get what everyone is complaining about, since these all actually look very promising. What people should be complaining about is the fact that Amazon Prime is probably going to stream all of these considering they just signed a deal to stream all new noitamina titles. I love their 2 day shipping, but I would much rather have Funimation, Sentai, or Aniplex stream them, since Prime's streaming service is crap. |

Is this a new fad -shrug- It's part of the instinctive anti-popularity reaction. When you like something that's popular, that puts you at a disadvantage in taste, because you can be accused of just going along with the masses. 80+% of what noitamina puts out is leagues above any average seasonal stuff, and those who deny it are for the most part just reactionary. They continue to be a bastion of quality in a rapidly declining medium. rapidly declining? compared to how anime was 5 years ago? or 10 years? or 30 years ago? nah can't agree with that either it still the same or at least compared to 2011 it increased in quality. |

Must be exciting for fans that a sequel announced in april 2015 will come to light in april 2017. it deserves a sequel more than most of their shit yes but that's not what noitamina started for That's what it is now though. Honestly noitaminA is now one of the most overtly commercial blocks out there in anime if not the most commercial with shows regularly being produced for it just to promote Sony's music acts. Total polar opposite of what it was planned to be initially now that Sony has taken over managing the block to suit it's own commercial interests but the kind of shitposters MAL gets probably either forgot, never were there in the first place or don't care cause those shows weren't hype. Also when the most people can say about an upcoming show in a block over and over is how much they are looking forward to the music you know your block aimed at older viewers looking for more adult oriented content is fucking dead. I mean what's the fucking point of watching a TV show just to hear some music previewed, seems like a waste of time to me when you can just get the CD's. Also the director for Fortress even said the show is aimed at the junior high to high school demographic of teenagers (pretty much where noitaminA aims now period) which judging by the people reacting to it I'm more than willing to believe. Again the only one that doesn't immediately strike me as outright commercial trash right out of the gate and where the project seems to be saying "no really we plan on running an actual show and not just a twelve episode commercial" is Battery which I pretty much expect to have something bad happen to it's production to derail the project somehow. |

Aniplex had been killing Noitamina ever since Guilty crown & Anohana. Outside Ping Pong we havent had anything great from the block in years. (after kids on the slope, but that was in 2012) A series like Rakugo is staple Noitamina & it's airing on an otaku slot on TBS, just goes to show noitaminA's fall really. I heard Fuji tv is taking control of Noitamina block back from Aniplex after kabaneri (the amazon deal & all), and it definitely shows a little in the line up. |

I heard Fuji tv is taking control of Noitamina block back from Aniplex after kabaneri (the amazon deal & all), and it definitely shows a little in the line up. Ping Pong was the last noitaminA show I really enjoyed let alone felt like finishing and also the last show Aniplex was involved in that I didn't feel suffered greatly for their commercialism. Also that's clearly not happening with Fuji TV taking control back because there's still that Saekano Second Season coming up and simply because Aniplex makes way too much money with their marketing strategies and everybody now wants them on board adapting their stuff even if it'll only bump profits by 20% or whatever. What it seems might happen is that we might get a few shows without there involvement as is possibly the case with Battery since it just doesn't seem like the kind of show they'd invest in or promote. If there's any sort of commercial angle in there that would indicate their involvement (like was pretty blatant with the upcoming Wit Studio show and the staff/music acts involved) it's unclear at the moment. There's no way Aniplex is doing anything than continue to dominate more and more over the rest of the industry and the decision making processes of several key television blocks to push their own interests and I'd say it's sad if it weren't already just such a foregone conclusion that that's the way things are now and that anime probably would die and run out of funding if they were to be removed from the sphere altogether now because almost nobody else seems to produce much anymore let alone as fast. It's good for all the hype kids that are into their shows nowadays cause god knows there's a lot of them both in Japan and abroad now. One thing that does puzzle me though is actually that Amazon deal since Aniplex is notorious for feuding with Amazon. Of all venues that would seem to be the last one that would get exclusive rights to air a noitamina/Aniplex production so it puzzles me unless somehow that whole feud was a publicity stunt who's purpose I don't understand just yet if that is indeed the case. Currently the only possible explanation is Fuji made that call and if so it's kind of hilarious. |

Out of the bunch only Battery and Fune wo Amu caught my interest for now. I can't see Kabaneri being anything special besides the, for a modern anime, unusual character designs, but I'll know soon enough if it's worth watching it or not. For Kuzu no Honkai I might try a few chapters before deciding anything. The synopsis reminded me of Umibe no Onnanoko which had a lot of explicit sexual content. I wonder if it's the same thing here and, if yes, how they will portray it in animated from. |

For an anime showcase who is so highly renowned, why is the single original animation project in a year presented as an "ersatz" of the less interesting part of a manga (Shingeki no Kyôjin) ? At least, they try novel adaptations too... but there is still an awful lot of manga and light novels adaptation there. |

I wasn't initially going to check out that AOT knockoff... but then I saw this GIF: https://45.media.tumblr.com/7384234d69518144f948ef11827c3832/tumblr_o5iqrwmx3f1sfcmugo4_1280.gif There seems to be more going on here underneath the surface level story... Yeah, I guess I'll watch it. Battery looks like a slice of life that I'd actually enjoy, too... So i'll check that out as well. I'll pass on the BL and the other one, though. |
