If the scene where law and Corazon continued for much longer I would have teared up with them.

Behold of my awesomeness~
controversial and/or sensitive topics likely devolve into the same repetitive, derogatory, abusive, and harassing comments can no longer be posted.

Really great episode! This was the first episode I had to wait for, and I wasn't disappointed. I'm now suddenly loving Cora-San, and all the doctors were complete assholes.....Now I can't wait to see the story behind Laws fruit!

Mi corazon! lol, this was a really great episode. I already liked Corazon/Rosinante, even when he was being a jerk, now I love him even more.

Shame on those doctors for 1) not trying to save a dying child, and 2) not being knowledgeable enough about the disease to realise it is not contagious.

I'm so freaking glad I'm a One Piece fan, seeing episodes like these really make me happy

More flashbacks please, I really want to see more Corazon :)

It was really sad seeing him trying each hospital so he can save Law, but only to be turned down by every single one

Yeah that was a touching scene.
Corazon is a great guy.

I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for Corazon or Law. After Rocinante tricks his own brother and sides with the Navy instead of actually trying to help and change his brother. I loved the moment where Doffy declared he'll kill all of these plebs, I hope we'll see him getting his revenge!

The Sengoku voice was off-putting.

Anyway, i'm really loving the new OSTs, especially the one that plays during Corazon's late night confession just like when it was played for Flevance.

Corazon's crying, Law's crying...I'm crying.
Just another One Piece episode!

Honestly, this episode was really quite something, and I love how One Piece can just make me care about characters in a matter of minutes. Sure, Law has always been cool...but who would've thought he had such a tragic past when we first saw him in Sabaody?! Makes me wonder about the other Supernovas- specifically Kidd and Bonney.

That moment when Law realizes that someone actually cares about him just hit me right in the feels. It's not fear (like the citizens) and it's not admiration for/interest in his potential (like Doffy)...he just cares about him ;-;

Also, what was that- is Rosinante a Commander?!! I did not see that one coming at all. He's infiltrating the Don Quixote family for Sengoku, because he wants to stop Doffy in his tracks. My bet is that Doffy already has his suspicions though- he ain't stupid! It's probably why he sent Vergo in the first place.

The Will of D stuff was interesting too. Given the way it was explained by Corazon, I'm guessing the "D" family exists to turn the tides, revolutionize the world and alter the status quo of any given era. So they're likely going to play a huge part in the dissolution of the Celestial Dragons later in the story.

That's prolly why Corazon was so worried for Law...Doffy would jump at the chance to use him if he ever found out his true name. He'd never escape!

These kinds of relationships always get me the most for some reason. Like the Baratie arc with Sanji where they're always at each others throats but they find themselves developing a really close bond.

I think Law's backstory has surpassed everyone else in the SH crew.

This episode was the epitome of heart in One Piece. Despite the fact that I have started to resonate with smaller scale and less exaggerated stories which made me feel a little less excited about this horrifying flashbackception than I’m usually, this episode reminded me that even if we have horrors on the scale of this flashback, the personal is still very much there and as strong as ever. All of the Rocinante profile pictures I’ve seen through my life make sense in this one single moment.

What we got here was a story of a man with a traumatic past and a big heart trying his hardest to help a kid that he could relate to, and only truly understanding his sympathy when he felt like it was too late. From the earlier moments where we learned he was so abusive to the children as a way of scaring them off, or that montage of both compassion towards forcing Law to relive his trauma hospital after hospital and some comedy to top it off with his sweet anger towards the doctors. It all built up to where he emulated Doflamingo’s drinking problems to cope with his sadness, going down his chin and all, and it finally hit him. That this wasn’t just because he wanted to steer Law away from becoming a beast with Doflamingo, but more importantly, it’s because he feels sorry for him. He stumbled over to Law, thought to be asleep, and with a masterful voice cracking performance, cried over him, expressing how much he cared. How he knew that it wasn’t him who was hurt back when he got stabbed but this poor thing, and prior to that, his guilt over fruitlessly forcing Law to suffer this much. Again, despite the huge scale of the horrific events that went down, this became an intimate moment of human vulnerability, and in seeing someone care for him like that for the first time in ages, Law cried too and found some deep respect for Corazon. In the past he may have covered for him like how Corazon covered for Law but deep down, this was when they finally saw eye to eye and their feelings became realized. It was such a human moment filled with so much sadness and beauty that tears subconsciously started to trail down my face and that is a powerful effect.

Outside of that story, we got a lot of information about the D. family. There is a Mariejoi’s saying that a misbehaving child will be eaten up by the D. Further, the D’s are said to be seen as the sworn enemy of the gods, the gods being the Celestial Dragons as prior in this flashback had already proven to us. Further, a speculated purpose for the D’s is that they are here to destroy the world. This specifically showed us images of Roger and Saul and it gives us far more background on the will of the D. If you recall, Roger was involved with the blank century and the poneglyph’s, as far as I remember, he knew the history of the world. Law even used the same phrase to Doflamingo on the bridge to Green Bit, "D. will surely bring us another storm". I wonder if the D are the inherited will to fight against the system, whether it be in a good or bad way. Or much better said by fellow user @Strawberrycake48:
“I'm guessing the "D" family exists to turn the tides, revolutionize the world and alter the status quo of any given era. So they're likely going to play a huge part in the dissolution of the Celestial Dragons later in the story.“

From this conversation we got a look into Corazon’s role here, he is positioned to make sure Doflamingo doesn’t go out of control. Unlike Doflamingo, he spoke of his parents as warm hearted, their naivety does not seem to make Corazon harness the same anger and blame towards his father. Rather, he views Doflamingo as a demon that was probably born as he declared revenge to the mob, a demon with brutality that only the top executives and Vergo know. Vergo being the first Corazon, which now makes sense to me as Law could have been the third if he didn’t betray Doflamingo. I take it Corazon was filled with sadness over the horrors of his past rather than an unquenchable rage, although seeing Doffy in this light is certainly sad. He’s a broken kid still trying to enact revenge for the experiences he had when he was a child.

Corazon actually worked as a secret commander under Sengoku but Vergo, sporting a look that’s about 70% less hot than he was in Punk Hazard, is on a secret mission to become a vice admiral which even Cora doesn’t know about. That should spell trouble.

Corazon shedding tears out of sympathy towards Law's near-hopeless situation was a really emotionally powerful scene. Him seeing himself in Law since he had also lived through a childhood where nothing good ever happens to him made it even more impactful.

It was very interesting to find out that he works directly under Sengoku along with the fact that he has a Devil Fruit of his own. I guess that I was wrong about Corazon being the initial user of the Op Op Fruit after all~

First of all this episode made me breakdown so hard. Call me corny IDC, It's been a while since a anime scenes made me cry so hard in my living I had a hard time breathing. First thing I gotta say is that Kichi Yamadera did a phenomenal job performing Donquixote Corazon and voicing him, the raw emotion and guttural pain you can hear from him is so heartbreaking when he cried for Law knowing the hurt Law's been through and feeling so horrible making him relive through the pain for the sake of trying to saving his life. There's only a few times I can recall voice actors putting such emotion in their vocal lines that has genuinely broke me down like when (Spoiler Alert) Joseph from Jojo Bizarre Adventure when he screamed for Caesar after seeing his dead body crushed beneath the rock in Battle Tendency. Or during Enies Lobby when Robin cried out her will to live to her crewmates and my god are scenes like these so good (In a messed up weird way) But yeah be warned this episode WILL make you ugly cry. (so definitely watch it by yourself if you don't like crying around people or wouldn't want to have anyone hear you ball your eyes out.) And last but not least... Man do I love Corazon so much. <3 :')

Now I understand. Corazón was never bad, he was only bad so the children would leave the Don Quixote family. After the first hospitals, it's funny how Corazón ends up hitting all the doctors.

Spanish translation:
Ahora entiendo. Corazón nunca fue malo, solo lo era para que los niños dejen la familia Don Quixote. Después de los primeros hospitales, da risa como Corazón termina golpeando a todos los doctores.

The irony of Doflamingo stating he'll get even with all those townspeople, completely oblivious that they're not even close to getting even with him or the rest of the Dragons. He was clearly the black sheep if Roxinante went through all that too and was able to maintain his compassion. Guess that the World Goverment played their usual games and banned any further research on White Lead Disease if all those hospitals were still believing the lie that it was contagious.

Understanding what Doflamingo said about Law being the 3rd 'Corazan' now. Vergo was the first Heart executive, then Roxinante took the position as Vergo infiltrated the Navy and Law was being trained to take up the position later. How was Roxinante able to become a Navy Commander without Doflaminngo knowing? And if he's got a direct contact line with Sengogku, why didn't he tip him off about Vergo now that he'd run from Doflamingo?
