No, they weren't even written by Araki. He just did the artwork.

Oh.

Then your theory makes sense.

It doesn't contradict the things that were said in those novels.

I think DIO's fight is amazing an all, but "that" is an asspull as big as a house. An asspull that made the fight enjoyable? Yes, I won't disagree with that. Is still an asspull, no matter how much you "foreshadow it". There was no indication of that skill whatsoever in the entire manga prior to that fight.

The novel where

THAT HAPPENS IN THE NOVELS!?!?!?!?!?

WHAT THE F?!#!
Also, I think the reason Dio wasn't able to do that stuff is because he wasn't at full strength.

1. Part 2 was full of asspulls.
the difference is charisma of the character making the asspull, one wa splayed for laughs
or was alla round fitting of a goofy guy like joseph, jotaro is one of the single msot boring protagonists ive seen in a long time and because of that lack of personality anything he does doesnt have that funf actor that polnereff or joseph or whatnot have

I think it's better to just wait and see, instead of feeling disappointed from the get go. Knowing that spoiler doesn't say much because most of Jojo's enjoyment comes from the way the battles are delivered and not about the cold, hard facts.
It's not a coincidence that a lot of people consider the final battle with Dio to be on of the best in the entire manga.

Nah, not Polnareff. I can't accept this. Polnareff, the ultimate bro, can't have died. There's a logic I haven't understood yet, something that will save him. Please, dear god, just save Polnareff T.T
Ahhh, fuck me, he's dead right? Damn son, his death was damn epic. Just trying to survive a madman. At least, he gave that crazy fucker a fatal wound, so he'll eventually die. See ya, you magnificent fucker.

I noticed that Vanilla Ice looked like a vampire (his fang teeth). I guess that's the reason he didn't die from Polnareff mouth strike? But on the other hand, he was standing outside of the building, at the entrance, so that doesn't make much sense... I don't know.

Guys, can we stop this discussion of what is or isn't an asspull till it appears in the anime? Not only will there be plenty of time to debate it then, but it also derails discussion of this ep, there will be new perspectives on the matter when it happens in the anime and talking about it now just seems rude to anime only viewers. I don't know about the rest of you, but personally I hate it when people give me that shtick on stuff I haven't seen yet -_-.

Going back on topic this episode was great! It was damn close to perfection in my eyes. Cream's ability is such an overwhelming power that even with Iggy and Polnareff teaming up, they're still at a significant disadvantage. I'm not ashamed to admit that I started tearing up at each brutal kick Ice delivered to poor Iggy either, Ice is such an utter monster for attacking him so viciously. Reality really is cruel, I feel so bad for Polnareff as well ;_;. Next episode is going to be tough.

People don't seem to understand that the ending in part 2 was a more of a complete joke than the one in part 3. DP made part 2's ending fancy and it was worse , so DP will make part 3's ending fancy , that's something I am sure of.

You're probably right, but this kind of thing has been happening a lot recently and it'll probably only get worse till that episode finally pops up. Besides it's not like there aren't already threads discussing this topic to death. We should just keep it there till then.

Seeing Vanilla Ice brutally beating Iggy was unpleasant.

Polnareff vs Vanilla Ice was intense, first fight (and episode) in all of SC S2 that I've actually liked so far.

Iggy trying so desperately to save Polnareff

Dude, this episode was my far the most brutal of the series. Polnareff and Iggy got MLG pro destroyed by the ninja turtles rap guy. And while Ice and his stand are as tough and scary as you would expect Dio's right hand man to be, the image of his face inside the stands mouth can only be described as hilarious, despite the death and carnage surrounding it.

Also appropriate for Dio's main henchmen, the animation and sound effects of the void were some of the best for the series so far, and it really makes me even more excited for the budget blowing awesomeness that will be the Dio fight.

Reading through Over Heaven right now and I'll say one thing, there's times where it feels like DIO is ooc. Like, really ooc. However, I'm only on like uhh, chp 20? That's like 8x pages in though.

Here's a translation if you want: http://qpax.me/hiwamatanoboru/Over%20Heaven/Over%20Heaven.txt (if you haven't read the manga yet, don't touch this, a lot has to do w/ stone ocean so I suggest getting that far first otherwise you're gonna be lost)

If anything, I'm having a fun time reading it because some of the things put in it are just comedy in its own warped way.

Summary of what I've read though:

then again the only reason I bought this book was to add to my pointless shrine of a fictional character.

I've read through this particular fight numerous times and no matter what it's just plain difficult to witness and hits like a truck. Quite possibly the most brutal fight in Jojo and one of the most brutal in all anime. Although the following fight is arguably as brutal, it doesn't quite have that vibe of pure dread and brutality. As someone mentioned earlier, it's a fight simply about pure malice/murder and not much else in Jojo comes off quite so coldly.

Jesus Araki, You REALLY hate dogs.

So in this one episode we have the possibility of 3 of the 6 being killed.
Avdol, who I'm guessing is already dead.
Iggy, who will probably die of the injuries he got from Vanilla Ice, by the way, fuck that guy.
And Polnareff, who I'm guessing is not dead.

Damn! That's like the most intense episode that I've ever watched in JJBA series.. Really tense battle and the most brutal one.. Definitely the best episode in JJBA series to date :O

Vanilla ice is frickin strong that he can overwhelmed both Polnareff and Iggy without difficulty and these 2 are like our 2 strongest fighter bar Jotaro :/

He also cruel enough to kicked Iggy like that, i feel pity for him.. Well, in the end we saw that even Polnareff got hit by Cream's Dimension of Darkness.. So did Polnareff died? I hope not.. Maybe Iggy will save him in the last second or whatever.. but i won't be surprise if he did die since this is JJBA we are talking about..

Overall a perfect episode.. I need my episode 44 right now..
