| Finally watching Berserk, i hope it lives up to the hype. I skipped the 1st ep because i saw a lot of people recommending to skip the 1st episode and watching it after you finish the show sense it takes place in the future. hope this isn't a bad idea lol EDIT: Yeah glad i skipped this episode it dropped some major spoilers/foreshadowing |

| @ziggy_Z It is not only an adaptation problem but an anime structure problem when it is adapted into something who doesn't make sense. Anyway, the manga was my first wish (but I usually don't buy unfinished products and I couldn't read the volumes: they were sealed). This serves only as a warm-up because I have enough of waiting and want to take a bite. |

| Pretty mediocre first episode, had some rather nice background art but the rest was forgettable to say the least. That much I saw it last night and it could perfectly pass as something I watched months ago. Guess you needa apply the rule of cool quite intensely with this stuff. |

| This episode had some of the worst writing for an adaptation that I've ever seen as well as some of the worst decisions I've ever seen for one too. Not to mention animation that ranges from meh to shit. The only thing I can praise this for is the background art and Forces. 2/10, will continue in case it becomes less shit. |
| Soo... how does he carry such a big sword. It is so very large. And why must it make the unsheathing sound effect when it is draw. I mean it is like a typical stock unsheathing sound like *sshiick*. With such a large sword, I would expect at least something such as *sssshiiicckkk*. |

| So i saw the movies, after being captivated by the story and the incredible characters, i started reading the manga on December 10th. After seventeen days i almost catch up to the manga (only 40 chapters left and since i'm loving it so much and feel the need to space it out a bit, taking into account the long hiatuses) i decided to give the anime a try and oh boy first episode is great. Was hoping to see more of The Black Swordsman adapted but i guess this is it. Awesome episode, looking forward to the Golden Age arc :D |

| That first episode turn me off so fast, i was paying no atention at all. I even think that i continued with the next one, week or so after that. I had no idea at that time that Berserk will become on top of my favorite animes.Just the idea of that broken frendship and world turning up upside dawn (for Guts) is so tragick that it makes you torn out a tear or tow. And the whole philosofic and plot in that anime is so deep that it meke you wonder and think for the life itself. This is my one and only anime with sore of ten in my entire list of animes. It deservs it. |

Yes , i am on 344 chapter , i save the other 8 for a special accession when i can't resist the need from another chaper xD after all there is a chapter per 2 or nire munths. I know is super good , this is the only anime in my list with score 10 , and baissicly my favorite manga nad anime. |
| Holy molly this was something else. The story seems dark and brutal, but also strikes me as emotive and somewhat deep. I look forward to discover more of the plot. |

| The opening and ending are both horrible, I'll make sure to skip them every time. I thought that dude was a vampire, but he turned out to be some kind of snake abomination. I liked the first episode though, a bit gory but okay. |

| My brother recommended this and I was like okay bet...why not. Well I'm watching it... Me in the beginning: okay cool my type of anime. Later on: wtf is going on? I thought the girl was gonna tag along with him? WHOA blooodddd so much blood A lil more: Who is this ugly villain who looks like he's sucking on a dick? End:Okay wow he killed him...whoa main character looking at me oookay, and BOOM ending song But then I realized my bum ass brother forgot to tell me to skip the first episode. smh but that's okay because this episode was awesome and I'm bout to watch the rest tomorrow. |

| Not bad for a first episode. It starts out strong with a really uncomfortable scene to watch, ending with the badass entry of the protagonist "Black Knight". Then it slows down, becoming a bit boring. We see him fighting some demons & that he has a "brand". We also see some vampire-looking motherfucker. Then the episode ends in another good fightscene. The way he keeps shooting arrows in the guy's face, was laughable in a good way. I liked it. |

| Been putting this off for years. Kind of a bizarre start. I knew this was going to be gruesome, but I thought it'd be more of a stoic gorefest. I suppose time will tell. The only thing I know for sure though is one thing - everyone and their mother hates this guy named Griffith and I can't even imagine why. |

| Guts VA is a little off and a lot of stuff was cut from the manga but it did a good job bringing the same atmosphere as the manga |
| I've only read about 10 or so chapters from the manga, which is just enough to be completely confused by this episode. I still liked it a lot tho, and the OP and ED are great. I can already tell I'm going to love this. |
