| This is the anime I was really looking forward to and I'm not disappointed. A really good first episode. Loved how they made Michuru's reactions, but for me Amane is my favorite female character (not because of the tits). But Yuuji is my favorite in the whole anime, I really wanted to know how they made and it's just perfect. It fits him all. Doesn't matter if they do it 1 cour or 2 cour, as long as they don't ruin the story. |

If the VN is very long game which is >50hours ( havent played it yet ) this probably the best way to show their profile within 12 episodes max plus the route they picked at the end if this Anime turns so good, a sequel might come entitled "Grisaia no Meikyuu" Mod edit: Double post merged |

Things are bound to be ruined if this is a 1-cour only. 2-cour is the only way for this to work well though it's not a guarantee of a good adaptation. We'll just have to wait and see. |

| The majority wasn't all that interesting, and the girls' generic personalities were starting to bore me, but "they're masturbating", "nice breasts", and shots of mass murdering were all I needed to be convinced this isn't gonna be shit. The girls' introductions could've been done better, but oh well. |

Grisaia is supposed to be this sex innuendos with comedy and sort of a dark drama as whole, so if they want to make it work, they'll have to put more emphasis in story and characterization instead of sex scenes. I haven't played Meikyuu yet though, so I wouldn't have thought of that. Thanks for sharing. |

| quite a nice adaptation thus far - problem is, i'm in the middle of the vn and if i watch this, all will be ruined - oh, the pain...........pretty impressed with artwork/animation - my only complaints: too much man ass (wot is this free pt. 3?) and censorship (they should have broadcast this one on at-x (just wait for blu ray maybe). |

| As expected this anime might be ok, but nothing compared to the source material. The entire first episode is nowhere near as humorous without Yuuji's monlogues about how bogus he feels most of his interactions are. Also if you read the source material, you should know that trying to adapt all 5 routes in what seems to be a 26 episode adaption at most is going to be a bad idea. Better to do 1 route well, then all of them shoddy. We'll see how the director does though, it's possible he could make this work in the same light the steins gate director did (though that only worked well because the plot was linear and the story wasn't nearly as long). |
| I've never expected any anime as much as this one before, and the first episode didn't really disappoint me. There were a few small details that bothered me and the animation seemed a bit quirky but other than that, it was really great. Dat censoring tho :( Gotta watch this again in BD when it comes out I guess. Not that I mind that at all ^^ Can't wait for next week <3 |

| Ugh the first few minutes was enough to make me facepalm.. let's see a stoic gary stu character? check, an incredibly stupid female who even lets go of the steering wheel and not react when they almost hit a truck? check, a maid chara who's not really a maid and is a maid for no reason? check, stock characters (like a big boob red head classmate and a panty-showing loli) plucked straight out of every other anime or eroge? check. This looks like every bit of a bad adaption of a bad eroge, as if that Motomote show isn't hideous enough there just has to be 2 in one season. How this got a high early rating based on this garbage first episode is beyond me. I mean I know most anime is overrated early on but wow this takes the cake. I doubt even any action would make this any different. |

| ^bad eroge? PLEASE.. Grisaia is one of the highest rated VNs on vndb (and that for a reason) I will agree that the adaption won't do the VN justice but I expected that from the very beginning. There's just SO much content (very dialogue heavy) you need to fit in, not even 2 cours would be enough.... |

| Wow, I'm pleased with this. I was still like only ~20 or so hours into the VN though so I think that ending part of episode 1 kinda spoiled some stuff for me. Guess I'll need to finally get back to the VN (after ignoring it for months..) and finish it. |
