I really like Tensai xD
But that episode was actually quite good, I really like the way they summed up the back story. Juugo is a thief? That's pretty darn cool, I was kinda confused at first but the way they put it all together was great, and his talk with his father was really good.

But dat Tensai, I really like her, not actually sure if he is going with nanana or tensai but I really like tensai so I hope he picks her.

It seems a lot of people got lost on what just happened in this episode. As far as I understand that Juugo was been exiled by his dad because Juugo doesn't want to be the successor of his dad. But it turned to be it was in favor for him and he's finally free from is horrible home and can finally live peacefully on his own. And he doesn't really know about Nanana or the collections at all. So I really think he wasn't a part of Matsuri Phantom Thieves and it seems that it just a coincidence that those thieves was doing some activities on the same location where he was living (Was been planned by his dad all this time). But I also think that Juugo really knew what was the plans of the thieves that's why he got the "The Eye of Yuguthos" collection but he's only using the thieves to help Nanana so she can finally be in peace. So Juugo was not a thief or a bad MC,because why would he trick the thieves by giving them a fake part of collection which is the "The Eye of Yuguthos" gem/crystal.

THIS EPISODE WAS BAD.

The series had started off great and I found
the last three episodes really enjoyable......
But
This episode killed it for me. It was too fast
paced that you couldn't take everything in
without a sudden plot twist or four get forced
in there. They failed to bringing out
sentiment towards the characters because
they were not fleshed out enough for you
to care, and things happened too fast.
This episode frustrated me.
It was so cliche and stupid.
"I want to rule the world!"
"Dreams mean nothing." (paraphrasing)
PUNCH THE GUY ALREADY!!!!!!
I-D-I-O-T
He respected that guy because he had
a ridiculously ambitious dream, even after
he betrayed them and tried to kill him.
And that battle.... SOOO BADDDDDDDDD! >:U
He had the ability to freeze the guy and
instead of impaling or burning or even
actually freezing him, like he had just
tried to do 10 seconds prior, he just
blew him away......... LIKE WOW.

I don't know if I'll continue this series.
If the rest of the series is going to be
like this, I'd rather not.
I'll admit that the other episodes were
also a bit fast, but I didn't mind because
they were the first episodes, and they
weren't trying to force any emotion
from the 1% fleshed out characters,
but this episode tried to make us feel
for them, who are total strangers still.

Also, dem animations hell, were plenty of good.

The interactions between the characters feel weird and random though.

Damn, the beginning part was unexpected, can't believe that Tensai noticed it was a fake.

Wow the battle was also unexpected and its pretty fluid between Yukihime and Yu. Damn, Juugo was different then before, acting pretty serious and taunting Isshin about his dreams. He is 2x badass on that part.

And it ends with the cane is secured. Tensai knew it all along when Juugo is planning on something, some mastery detective that she has. The conversations between him and his dad was interesting, something that is related to Matsuri. Some good conversations between Nanana and Juugo.

Tensai and Juugo are pretty badass MC's in here. can't wait for more.

I was really confused by the plot twists of this episode. Had to go to the forum and check on stuffs that I forgot from past weeks episodes.

i can't make sense of all the twists and i'm losing track of all the characters. Who/what is matsuri, ikkakku, who is working for each of them, who is juugo, what is tensai doing...?

Huh? Matsuri is name of thiefs organization Juugo used to work for before his Dad (chief of the organization) exiled him to island where Nanana lives, it probably happened because Juugo refused to success his father and left organization.Juugo used Yukihime and the other guy (who both work for Matsuri) to get one of Nanana's collection (cane). He tricked them by giving fake Light-up Lie Detector as reward for their help, which means Matsuri is looking for Nanana's collection too.I think Juugo's father planned everything.
Ikkaku is current head of Great 7, person who Yuiga had deal with. For now we don't know more about him.
Tensai...is being Tensai. She moved in next to Juugo and Nanana because she thinks of Juugo as her rival now.In her eyes he's probably still a thief who's working for Matsuri.

So after reading this. Now It does make sense when I rewatch this episode for the second time.

The episode was confusing and random that its hard to process.

Still, the characters aren't bad. Juugo ain't no ordinary high school kid, and Tensai
further proves her skills.

I don't know what to feel or think about this episode.

Welcome Samurai Flamenco!!
The plot twists seem a bit too developed for 1 episode. Last episode we see Juugo as a normal, spirited teenager. This episode? Song of some huge wig who could afford 100 m yen for a cane that they could have just snatched away. O yea, a criminal organisation's boss or smth is a businessman, he doesn't steal. Yea sure....>_>

And what's with the "Rule the world" and "Magic" concepts? It just seems weird. The club president said he could do whatever he wishes with the cane... I was thinking... why not just rob the guy he wanna buy from then? Or a million other possibilities? Why do so much and attract the attention of others?

And finally, probably the worst part of this episode... I do not get how the producers could squeeze in comedy in serious moments. And worse, those "comedic moments" were not even funny -_-. The tone went serious then light then serious then light then serious etc. in some moments.

So Juugo teamed up with the thieves gang called "Matsuri" in order to retrieve the cane and so that Tensai doesn't find out who he really is, SACRE BLEU!

Lol those girls can really fight, I didn't know they were martial artists in hiding.

This show is way more violent than I thought it would be to be honest.

It looks like every character is hiding their true identities and who they word for or with whom behind a mask.

Juugo actually knew at what time and where that package would drop because he used Matsuri lol.

So Juugo's father is actually the leader of Matsuri and he wanted his son to take over the group.

It looks like things are really getting interesting.

Oh please. As far as plot twist goes this is pretty normal, shocking but nowhere as "in-your-face" as Flamenco. I also don't feel any part that was forced to be funny since it's pretty much action for the entire episode.

The fact that some people couldn't follow the plot twist confuse me. I thought the episode made it pretty clear what's happening.

Pay attention to the episode before whining pls. Matsuri is the thief organization and Ikkaku Shunju is the great 7 who created the island. They're not related at all, at least from what was revealed this episode.

He didn't want the money, he wanted to meet up with Ikkaku Shunju to possessed him to give away the island.

I think that's just you. You seem too butthurted at this anime for some reason, chill down a little.

As for the episode, looks like I was right thinking that Juugo is related to Matsuri and he's actually the leader's son too lol. Though I didn't expect them to reveal it this early in. I like how Tensai is basically catching up to everything that's happening, avoiding any overused needless drama which is quite refreshing. Props to the author :)
Anyway, how come there's not much talk about the LN yet even now or is it fairly new? With the way the story goes so far, I'd thought that it is a popular LN or there's just no one who care to check out this LN in the first place. I hope it will get popular and have decent sales so we get to see more of it in the future ^^

I'm lovin' all of these plot twists!

So apparently Juugo's dad is a master thief/noble? They have a bunch of master thieves working for them. Juugo decided to make off with off with one of his dad's underling's goods, whilst being exiled to Nanana's island. Apparently he trains his body on a daily basis (probably has the makings of a master thief himself). Tensai found out about his connection to his dad, strikes a deal with Juugo's dad and acts as the mediator for the buyout of the magic wand.

Okay, now here's where I get confused. The Prez wants to use the staff to conquer the world, and so he decides to SELL IT???? That part made next to no sense! What would you do with a billion yen anyway? Invest in stocks and lose it?
How does that constitute conquering the world???? But anyway, Juugo lectures and then takes pity on the Prez, probably because they're both evil bad asses who share a somehwat similar background (sold their dreams off for money?), which is why the Prez doesn't have to go to jail, and Juugo will go visit him in the club room later on?

Top it all off, Nanana still thinks Juugo will help her find her killer (I actually think the killer may be closer than we all think XD)

Man, the plot twists were interesting enough, but the fallout after the magic staff changed hands was just weird as hell.

Man, the plot twists were interesting enough, but the fallout after the magic staff changed hands was just weird as hell.

1. Nah, he didn't take off with the item before he got to the island.
Remember how those two thieves in the beginning sent one of the treasures flying with a parachute? After that scene, you see Juugo walking home looking at his cellphone, with a bag of pudding. What's really happening, is that he's looking at the coordinates for the drop point of the treasure posted on a net based SMS that Matsuri, a group of thieves use to plan their heists. Which is why it lands in front of him, all according to plan. And when he strikes up the deal with Yukihime after, the cane for the lying detector stone, she agrees, but he gives her a fake after all.

2. Ikkaku isn't Juugo's father. Ikkaku is one of the Great 7, who helped build the island. Unless that's a plot twist they're saving for later.

3. He didn't want money. To control Ikkaku is to control that island. Which would be a huge step towards world domination. 100 million (1billion yen), is nothing to Ikkaku, and nothing to the Prez.

4. He takes pity on the president because he himself has given up on his dreams, while the president is so intent on fulfilling his. Which changes his speech at the end (before raising his fist at the prez) to how the prez's dream didn't matter that much to him after all, but can't seem to punch him, as he at least still has a dream.

As for the reason why Yuugo was exiled; He was exiled because he has a disinterest and a certain cynicism about humans. Something his father doesn't like. Hence his father asking him if he had a girlfriend, if he loved tensai and not just respected her, if he has changed his views on humans. Hopefully they'll go into detail about it, but it'd be interesting revealing his distaste for humans in front of Tensai and co.

Okay, what the hell. That plot twist came out of nowhere. Juugo is not your typical anime protagonist in these types of shows AND he used to work for the bad guys? What. So much what. Completely changed the direction of the show I was perceiving.

Tensai just became the girl next door and the last guy in the OP actually works for Isshin.

Now I'm wondering how much of Juugo's actions were "real" and how much was just a facade.

I don't know why people are so surprised at Juugo. I believe a few times it was mentioned (just who/what are you) in reference to him. Also, his "fighting skills" are shown right from the start when he gets into that first fight with Nanana he blocks her surprise attack. Later he is getting ejected from that classroom puzzle and it is also mentioned how he is "trained".

Damn, all those plot twist... It almost made me confused xD

So Juugo is in fact a thief that work with the same people that stole the liar gem. Didn't saw that coming, why were they anxious that someone had find their treasure first? Juugo just didn't warned them that he knew about the plan?

The talk with his father was interresting too. He kept telling that he was unable to love someone. Is he some kind of sociopath? Because he clearly doesn't seem to have trouble caring for people.

Anyway, Tenshi is still as cute and clever than before :P

A lot of that didn't make sense. Disappointing Isshin Yuiga wasn't even punished or arrested and he was given a large sum of money.
