| I was at the second Q and A with him and got to see the teaser close up. Its beautifully animated and colorful as all hell. It looks so fun and oddly enough he said 80% comedy and that 20% would handle some tragic themes but Im not sure how cause it looks full comedy. Shame thpugh is he said its only scheduled for 13 episodes. |

Read more here You left out that its schedualed for 13 episodes, he said in the 2nd Q and A that they ended up getting like 100+ designs for aliens and said if it got popular it could be 100 episodes(though this was obviously a joke) then followed up with if it doesnt get popular it'll only be the schedualed 13 episodes Dont let this man down, watanabe is a genius and im sure evn witht he 20% serious parts he'll still make us fucking cry. I mean when you think about it samurai champloo was basically a 70% comedy 30% serious show. |

A retro style space adventure anime with a goofy protag and fucking Shinichiro Watanabe? Did he read my mind or something? this is unreal. Hype level over 9000! Seriously this is probably the most excited I've been for an anime in like 5 years... Ippo coming out next season was great, but this is fucking amazing. |

| A sci-fi with some focus on aliens done by Shinichiro Watanabe. Sci-fi is always worth a look. Japanese humour tends to fall a bit flat for me, so hopefully the humour will turn out decent since it's primarily comedic. |
