| Wow, they introduced like 10 characters and the strange thing is I can remember most of them by their face and personality. Interesting way to tell the story, but I do hope they make everything clearer over the next couple of episodes. Looking forward to this. |

| Giving this series a second chance. I dropped it after four episodes in the past after still not getting anything out of it. With a second re-watch, this first episode is actually not that bad. Love the blood, gore, and violence. |

| Watching the show because my anime club is, and as I expected, I can't give a shit about the setting. I'm thinking the show's gonna be a chore to watch, but hopefully the plot and characters won't be too dependent on said setting and I'll find something in it to enjoy. |
| It's a good start. Baccano was on my plan to watch for a long time. I didn't like the narration in the beginning. I didn't mind the fact that it jumped around it bit. That will keep me interested. |

| Holy crap, over 9000 characters in one episode. Did not have a clue what was going on. I watched the dub and loved their voices, and the animation is nice. I didn't like the violence being so graphic though. Thoroughly grossed out at a number of scenes. Is it going to be like that the whole series? |

| What a crackin' first episode. So many things goin' on. But hearin' Wakamoto's voice as one of the first of the series ensures that it's going to be an awesome show. Atleast for me it does~ I love Isaac and Miria already. Regardless of whether the first episode had too many characters or a confusing plot or not is besides the point. It'll explain it later. Therefore I'm going to keep watching. |

| What the fuck happened? I didn't get it at all. Infact I was just going with the flow but I didn't understand anything. At first I was like, oh yeah he's going to get arrested, and then after that I was like, who's that dude and who's going to get arrested again? wtf man. Okay so there seems to be a lot of characters. I can't keep up with them. In the beginning, they were like doing some story telling. Does that mean that everything that happened was just a story made up by that old man and the girl? Also, immortal people? What the heck was that?! I am sure confused about this. I hope I get a good explanation later on. I don't know what's going on and that's the good thing about this, lol. Plus, the violence was pretty much very gory. It's definitely a show not suitable for childs. :3 |
| Decided to rewatch this to see if I can up the score one or maybe even two points. Opening is amazing, one of my favorites. This episode is quite overwhelming when it comes to the story and amount of awesome characters they trow at you. Love it. Animation/art is great and the soundtrack is superb. Also; Carrrrrrrrrole. Wakamoto, my God! |

| Glad I'm not the only one to watch this and not get the story. Something about guys that get hurt yet heal themselves and a cool train being converted to no longer carry passengers. Something about the guy and girl in the beginning discussing between themselves who the main character of the show will be, I guess. I'll continue watching cause it's a short series & looks interesting. |

| I agree. ALOT of characters in the first episode but it's going to be interesting how they're going to make all the stories fit in only 13 episodes. Animation and OP were pretty awesome though. |

| Meh... it was all done very nicely, but I couldn't enjoy it too much since I didn't understand anything. Hopefully it will explain what's going on in the next few episodes. |
| It was a little convoluted, the dialogue was sometimes not understandable. Too many characters were introduced. But overall I'd say it definitely made a positive impression. The time and setting of the anime should make for an interesting series; there are interesting characters too. Looking forward to watching more of it. |

| I can see some resemblances on it to Durarara! (Well it is done by the same studios). Very troublesome to understand though, hope I get cleared up later on =o. |

| i've been wanting for 7 months to start this...and i finally did...and this almost exceeded my expectations ^^ great start...although a bit confusing.and it had some really cool or funny parts,i especially laughed at the guy with the scissors xD 5/5 |

| Well, it's got my attention, but needs to establish what's going on and who are the important characters in this to avoid becoming lost in itself. Although judging on it's first episode, I would think it'll be fine. |
