Oh maybe, maybe it's the clothes we wear The tasteless bracelets and the dye in our hair Or maybe, maybe it's our nowhere towns or our nothing places But we're trash, you and me We're the litter on the breeze We're the lovers on the streets Just trash, me and you It's in everything we do It's in everything we do |

op, you are half mexiCAN, what is the other half? i would say uniformity is pervasive throughout all asian cultures, following convention or tradition. anything that veers off from this is looked down upon, even estranged. i feel weird around my own kind tbh. i have an expectation that they want me to be a certain way in order for them to accept me. i am anxious around them because i don’t fit in that preconceived view that i think they want me to be. stupid, i know. i should be myself more... fuck what they think. considering this, i don’t find myself easily associating with my own kind. also, i would say asians care too much what others think and have to uphold a certain degree of propriety. this lacks individuality and refinement in personality. it’s the rough edges, or flaws that make someone stand out, and it makes someone appear more “human”. |

The weirdest parts to me are overall cultural concepts like "face", honour culture, and the way work is handled there. Less individualistic than here. Japan, China, India, Russia, Turkey, Pakistan? ot: well, since i'm an Asian who lived in an Asia country, befriended with many other Asians and interacting with just a small of Asian communities here and there, ups and belows, one thing that i find strange/weird from people is their/our wanting for acceptance in our society in general. idk what cause of it but my assumption is because our education system somehow successfully (for good or bad), maintain the ties between individuals and their family and then to their social groups and government, something like tribalism is still exist here. so anything a person do in public reflects their family also, one would prefer to do things that considered normal and acceptable in society not only for the sake of themselves but also their family. a concept like "one for all and all for one" or something. the difference with "hybrid" people or Asians who get their education outside of Asia countries is quite contrast here tbh |

When foreigners go to Japan and make a Youtube video where they pick one question and ask every Japanese person they see... They don't understand that the person they ask will probably be agreeable regardless of the question because they're being put on the spot in a culture based on maintaining image. |

By the time modern era started there were already over 200 million people in China and India compared to few million in rest of the world. And one overlooked fact: India saw a wave of migration from the west since the old world, which also contributed to higher population and not just the dick 😝 |

Some people love big families. 4 children is just an understatement. This generation sucks at raising children better not have kids than have destructive youths. And this vicious cycle between poverty and population 😤 |

Its a trend in japan, a lot of japanese (not sure about china etc tho) have crooked teeth, so a ton of them make them crooked too, would u go to a dentist to change something most of the people have? No, not rly. The "shark" teeth are rare expections, u probably have some mfkers in your country doing that shit too. |

Not really weird, but I've always found it a bit peculiar how some Eastern Asian tourists rush around with their cameras as if they didn't even have time to enjoy their vacations.
