| Nope. Limiting myself to watching certain genres will only restrict me from finding an anime with the potential to be surprisingly good. But if an anime must include something to get me to watch it, being an obscure series would make me more curious and interested into watching the series. |

| No such thing. There's some genres I evade unless paired with a genre I'm fond of. Great example: I avoid stand alone romance anime, but I may give it a watch if it's paired with harem and comedy. |

| MAL is so dumb with how they list genres I've learned to stop relying on them for information. If something says it's romance there's like a 70% chance it's a romance and if it's missing the tag there's still a chance it actually is a romance. In a perfect world where genres were all correctly listed I still wouldn't really care since I like a wide variety of anime. One might be under the impression that I can't enjoy an anime that isn't about cute girls, but there have been many anime I've enjoyed in the past where girls weren't the focus. I'll even check out the occasional mecha despite how hated it is in our community. |

| I don't have any tags I would particularly dislike. I'm not much into harems for some time now, but I don't blindly avoid them. Some can be good. On the other hand seinen tag can make more likely to check something out, but again, I wouldn't pick something up just because it has the tag. I always consider several things before picking up a show, and tags are just a little part of it. |
