My previous phone had one of those default tunes (I picked the most tolerable sound) and I always had to check if it's my phone ringing or anyone else's. It's much more comfortable now since my ringtone is only mine. Yea thats kinda the thing, haven't heard a custom ring tone in ages besides a few kids maybe. Also most people use snapchat now a day anyway and you cant even change the notification / ring tone there. I almost never receive a call on my number unless its my parents checking up on me or its something very urgent from a friend like "Hey im outside get your ass out asap or i will drive away without you" |

| My phone's default ring tone is Chev Chelios's 📱 phone ringing in and out of tone from the 2006 movie CRANK, sounding that way because his character is dying and needs to keep his adrenaline going to live. Other ring tones are assigned to certain numbers. Like my work number is the AVENGERS THEME letting me know an Epic quest is about to embark for my driving job. When a few of my friends call it's the Teriyaki Boyz song "Tokyo Drift" from the third Fast & Furious movie. |

| I use different ringtones for different people. Like, my brother used to really be obsessed with Tokyo Ghoul when he was younger, and it first aired, so I put Tokyo Ghoul Op 1 in instrumental form for him. I use OST's or OP's of anime in instrumental form, so it's not too out of the ordinary when my phone goes off in a public setting. But it's fun to see that when my phone rings, I can spot a fellow weeb amongst the crowd who recognizes it. |
