| On a number of occasions. In middle school I shamed some wigger for liking Inuyasha and everyone started saying "Ohh that cartoon porn stuff." Pale dude got so red in the face he looked like a red light at a 4-way. No one's confronted me about it in a long time, but I'll just humor them while thinking in my head:  |

| I don't have to go far to run into people who HATE anime. I have many stories I can tell of my parents and how I constantly had to defend my anime hobby in the early days of my anime fandom. Otherwise while many people don't like it, I don't even waste my time with those people and instead just stick to the ones that do like it (: Tough now that I think of it there was one dude I knew who hated anime and I don't remember why because I eventually went on to cut him loose. |

But, if I ever heard someone talking 'overly bad' about anime or anything that is related to anime, I'm really not liking it because, I just can't stand thing like that. But still, I won't fight back because anime is actually a purpose for an animation, so I'm not against people. I'm just thinking through mentally against people who hated anime. That's all. |

| I was totally one of those girls in high school that pretended anime (or really any 'nerdy' thing) was stupid and made fun of anyone who openly watched it. Now look where I am. Honestly though anyone like that is just trying to make themselves feel superior. |
| It doesn't sound like they hate it, but they have stereotypes about it that make them think anime is weird. Then they try to be cool by hating on people who like it. I want to see in FineBros style an "anime haters react to anime" vid, showing people who never watched anime and "hate" it watch some anime that kills their stereotype. |

| There was this one guy in my high school who hated anime because he had seen Naruto once and hated it, I couldn't really recommend anything though because I hadn't actuelly seen much anime at that time and the few shows I had seen I knew he wouldn't like. I had really only seen Initial-D (he hated any car that wasn't made by Chevy) and Death Note and Wolfs Rain and I knew that he wouldn't be into those types of shows. I haven't actuelly run across anybody who has hated anime recently though and I actuelly have good knowledge about it now |

| I don't usually tell people I like anime unless they bring it up first, but I don't give a shit what others think for the most part. If someone asks me if I watch anime I say yes, if they want to make fun of me whatever I'll just throw shade back at them. And if they're insistent on making a big deal about it then I'll probably just kick their ass. |

| Not really, in real life. I remember high school kids at my school thinking they were too old for DBZ (but probably watched it in secret at home anyway), but they didn't hate on it. My parents think anime is dumb, but they don't hate on it either. Other than that, I've never met people who openly voiced their dislike towards anime. In my experience, people either don't know what it is, is something they watched when they were younger, or casually like it. If speaking about online, it's not difficult to find people hating anime. You'll even find them on these forums, lol. |

Everyone else is either in the "it's cartoons for kids" or "it's cartoon porn" camps, and it's not worth it to try and prove them wrong. | My best friend thinks that anime is weird after she watched transformation video compilations and a compilation of "funny anime scenes" on YouTube. It really sucks because she's my best friends and I really wish she would like something that's so special to me but I respect her opinions. I haven't really met any people who dislike anime in real life, it's probably because anime isn't that popular in my small country and because I don't know that many people. |

| Plenty of times. A lot of people in my old school hated it, always silently judging a person for liking anime. Though sometimes they went so far as to outright say how disgusting it was to like it. | one of my friends was in the anime haters camp but eventually tried it and now absolutely loves it. The only people who hate anime are the ones who aren't wiling to try new things just for the sake of appearing cool, as there is an anime for everyone no matter what you like. |
