| They gave Monica a huge responsibilty to deal with that magical object. This feels rushed imo but they had to do it right for the festival and safety of the public. All the drama aside, it's nice to see Monica deal with this in the most sufficient way possible. Got some small flashbacks of her past even in the finale. Not going to lie, I did enjoy this anime for the storytelling, characters, and humor. Finale felt rushed but it gave Monica the chance to show what's she's capable of. |

| For all the wrong this show has done up till now, seeing Monica in her PJs and getting all embarrassed at the end pretty much made up for everything and more ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Joking, obviously. There are still a lot of problems with this show, which I don’t even want to pin entirely on the show itself, but more on how they adapted and speedran everything. That just led to some characters’ depth being nonexistent, especially the “antagonists.” They ended up looking more like corny Disney villains than anything lol. Anyways, yeah, I’d rather not see a sequel if they continue like this going forward. |

| The end of the Bell-Ringing Festival, and Monica getting the redemption that she's been finding all this while with her late father, it felt as if that a burden has been relieved off of her, amidst the ancient item finally acquired back. Still, the date between Monica and Felix a great one, not to mention the former getting drunk and falling asleep on his bed. What a great show. |

| I hope we will be seeing more of this it was in my opinion the best anime this season i really enjoyed it. This episode had the feeling of a filler tho a good one the comedy was great. Also that part were Monica was drunk the way she went to bed certainly raised some eyebrows. I do wonder how far away the rest of the cast was in finding out her real identity, it didn't seem for of to me. |
| Thank you studio Gokumi for doing Monica’s story so much justice. One of the best recent LN adaptations. Completely captured the magic of what makes this story special. Week after week we saw Monica take slow, but certain steps towards growing as a person and I’m over here crying after that ending montage because she has come so far. Even if she’s got further yet to go, she’s on the right path and I’m proud of her. The finale’s got a bit of everything that makes us love silent witch. Monica was so badass as she took on the Mira and stopped the arrows, then she reverted to the absolute dork we know and love as she fell to the ground. She’s so derpy I love her sm. Then we get the emotional chords this series just knows how to play like an expert. The way Felix didn’t even care what the book was, he just knew it made Monica happy so he got it for her no matter the cost is so fucking sweet, I love him as a love interest for her idc 😭. That’s such a huge moment for minds as well because all these years she never really got to say goodbye to her dad and his research was thought to be gone, but this whole time it’s still been here. It’s like getting to talk to her dad again and it’s so fitting it happens after a fight where she fully relied on his teachings about the world being all numbers! Can’t wait to find out more about the porter’s relationship with her dad. “Father, someday I’ll be able to hold my head high and tell you I did my best.. Someday when I pass thru the gates of the underworld, I hope you’ll praise me like you used to.” Yea this with Moeka’s vocals in the background and the ED playing as we get a montage of Monica and all her friends is where the dam broke for me. Monica, your dad would be so proud that you’ve made the most out of such an awful situation. These 13 episodes have been nothing short of amazing character development. Monica started as a loner living with her familiar out in the middle of nowhere and she ends the season with friends and as an essential member of the student council. For a bodyguard assignment, I’d say she got more out of the deal than Felix lol. Masterclass from start to finish, I’m going to miss Monica’s derpy expressions and all her interactions with Cyril and everyone else. We need a season 2 please 😩 Oh yea, the Prince and her sleeping together??? HELLO??! The way he teases and encourages her is so sweet and the fact he got that necklace just because it looks so cute on her.. I can’t, I need that ship to sail!! |

| Another really good but short action sequence. It's moment like this that makes this anime worth watching however few they are. Was great to have more Monica x Felix. They had their moment and safe to say are developing feelings for each other or the prince might already love her. Monica finally found out that he's a silent witch fanboi. Looking forward to the day he finds out. Certainly a good season but the expectation set by the first episode wasn't met and fairly disappointed. |

I mean, the story was pretty much just the same thing over and over when you thing about it, the villain of the "week" appears ... what are we gonna do, send Monica, Monica finishes the case ... all good, over to the next one. Im not saying i did not enjoyed it, the production value was quite high, and Monica and her goofiness were certainly amusing. But still. |

| Great series. The yandere cursed jewel being voiced by Hanazawa Kana right after her divorce is sadly hilarious. BTW I heard later in the source materials there is some romantic progression, but not sure if I'm right: |
| Eh, this really felt like stuff happening just for the sake of filling episodes. It’s wrapped up now, yet it still feels like we've barely touched anything. Forget about showing all the seven sages and such, that assassination subplot itself is so half-baked it feels nothing but just an excuse to keep Monica at the academy. Not to mention, the prince… well, calling him bland is probably giving him too much flavor. Don't particularly hate it or anything, I mean it's decent overall, but yeah, definitely leaves wishing for more. |
| Ahh, another wonderful witch that demands a continuation in the form of a 2nd season, and the series itself is excellent, all the characters are good, Monica is not developing quickly, but it is not surprising given her psychological trauma, I give it the highest rating and hope for a continuation, it is necessary here. |
| Not a fan of the show. It looks great, has potential with kingdom politics, but I just can’t stand the MC for some reason. 5/10 |
| Hanazawa Kana-san playing the super devoted and deranged lover role is something I didn’t know I needed to see. It was kind of Monica-chan to give that pleasant manipulation to quieten the cursed spirit though, all’s well that ends well. Chinmoku no Majo-sama literally flying in the air and screaming her lungs out while Norton nonchalantly buying cakes for the two of them was hilarious. I wasn’t expecting that at all, lol. Flying is definitely not an easy task and the horse riding practice coming into clutch was nice to see. And finally, Denka gets to fanboy over her and that too right in front of her xD. Good thing she’d her hood on in ep 1. Drunk Monica too! I wonder if he’ll ever be able to figure her out. Emotional with that second half of the library segment there - I wish she’d time to talk to the librarian a little, I’m sure a part of her must’ve wanted to. All in all, this has been a really good watch. Seeing overpowered characters hiding their true abilities is always a cool concept but definitely overdone when done cheaply. Coupled with the stellar visuals, Hitsujibungaku’s banger tracks and entertaining characters, we were truly in good hands! Solid 8/10. I’ve been pretty much just glazing this series so far, but the general progression of the plot did diverge from where I was expecting it to go and I feel it could’ve been a bit more special rather than confiding to this safe school-focused setting. But hey, it is a decent formula so why break something that works, ig. |

| This was an amazing final episode, the animation was great and just overall the art direction this episode was beautiful, like the lighting in that bookstore and the way it was all detailed when Monica was looking for a book it was all so pretty. And this episode had so much emotional depth behind it, with the magical object and Monica finding a lost copy of her fathers work was really touching to see. Plus these last few episodes gave us some great moments between Monica and Felix something which had kinda been lacking, it also let my appreciate his character a lot more. Overall it was a really good send of episode for the anime. To talk about the show in general this is probably one of the best fantasy anime I've watched in a long time, generally everything about it was spectacular. It had to my remembrance 0 fanservice, amazing characters and a generally quite simple but very well executed plot. Monica is a very deep rooted character and they do an amazing job at gradually developing her as a character throughout the anime. There were plenty of other characters I really liked, while it took a while I gradually came to really like Felix he also is a character with many layers to him, Lana was also another great character and a amazing friend to Monica. I really wished we got more of Isabelle but I suppose their wasn't many opportunities for her and Monica to be together. I thought the overall plot, characters, comedy and emotion behind this anime was all amazing. I also really liked how they portrayed magic in this anime. Actually felt like your old classic fantasy portrayal of magic and not as if were watching a video game like Isekai. Im hoping for a season 2 but doubt we'll get one. I really wanna see that one thing I got spoiled on get addressed but I suppose I'll have to read the LN for that. Great anime 10/10 |
| Finally, the last episode aired and the best show this anime season ended. It is 10/10 for me, everything about it was great. Now, where is that season 2 announcement? It cannot get here fast enough. |
| nothing groundbreaking, but it was an interesting watch. felt it would've done better with an extended episode length. in my opinion, i think the antagonists were the weakest part of this show; it just always felt forced. liked the little ending scene where she is sitting by the fountain. beautiful. |
| One of the heart-warming scenes in the LN is present in this episode, that of Monica finding her father's book, 'Decoding Magical Properties from Genetic Traits.' I thought it was omitted. Good thing it's here. Season 2 can't come soon enough. |

| Just glad they had the scene where Monica found her father's book int he used book store. I consider that one of the most important events of the LN, and would have been upset if they passed it by. All in all, this was a great episode, which capped off the best anime of the season. |

| Wait wut...I thought this was 2-cour for some reason... Noooo I need more [via another season] Back to this episode. OMG...Monica "snoozing" on the bed then opening her eyes to see prince "posing" like that. ARGG THAT TEASE CRIT HIT MY FEELS. And then at the end that convo with Cyril GAH....the cuteness is a double-hit. Though honestly beyond that this episode in particular was kinda underwhelming it knocking my rating for the series down... Anyhow, man I hope another seasons is in the works and back within a year (wishful thinking I know...) I went in with this series no expectations but glad that got overturned. |

| Decent show. Didn't go the route I expected since first few episodes, but the last 2 were great. Maybe I just didn't like whole school drama and betrayal/assassination attempts. Interesting, so the theft was orchestrated by the Sage. Was it done to "Ship" prince with Monica? That has to be it no? Dunno if this has enough material for S2, but I'd watch it. Monica is such a sweet cinnamon roll. Gonna miss her expressions :x |

| What a beautiful ending this was! Monica getting to be reunited with the works of her father was so heartwarming and bittersweet at the same time. It's been such a delight watching her grow as a person over these last 13 episodes. Here's hoping there will be more in the future, but even if there is no season 2, I'm very content with how things ended this season 😊 |

| I'm happy to see some elements from past episodes start to come to play. As minor as it is, the entire horse riding stuff didn't just end up as something forgotten that she just does on the side. Really enjoyed the moment where she found the book by her father as well. Kind of figured something like that would happen as soon as I saw them go into some obscure bookstore. Would be nice if the bookstore owner knows who Monica is but just didn't say, since he was friends with her father. A really wonderful show this was. Despite essentially being just another fantasy/magic series and that there were a bunch of other standout/big names shows this season, this show was my favorite and honestly, maybe of the year. While I wouldn't say the villains or all of the incidents that occurred during the story were the strongest, what made this show so enjoyable wasn't really any of that but Monica herself. She's such an endearing character and also the silliest goober. Big props to the director and anyone else for the all the fun and silly reactions we got to see of her throughout the season. I'm not sure how much more content is available or how well the series is doing but as anyone who enjoyed something would like, I would love to see more of it in the future. For now, I'll make do by adding to my OST playlist and listening to Hitori, Tsumugu jikan, the track that plays during those heartwarming moments throughout the show. |
