However, starting the second cour, it greatly improved --especially thanks to Nano. I takes time to familiarize with the characters and their traits, but you end up loving them in their own way by the end. As for the individual sketches, about half of them were pure cinema, while the other half didn't move even one of my smiling muscles. Animation, sound and art style, on the other hand, are awesome. I still don't know how to score this. For this type of comedy, I still prefer Nichibros, Lucky Star and, especially, Azumanga Daioh, which is infinitely superior. Finally, you could eliminate each and every Helvetica Standard segment without even slightly changing the anime. I ended up with lots of mixed feelings about this show. And yes, Nano best girl. |
