Eeeh, I didn't mean it that way at all! Now that I re-read my post, I do realize, that I mainly wrote about the negatives of the One Outs, but what I really meant to say, was that despite all of those I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit! I really like the shows with genius MC, and I've been able to understand most of the mind games so far (I just hope they don't escalate into using really obscure rules by the end of the show, that's all). I've been planning on both learning the rules of baseball and getting into the sports anime for the longest time now, so please don't say you're sorry about your rec! :3
And don't worry about Steins;Gate - thanks to your rec, and the recs of my friends, I finally decided to start reading Steins;Gate 0! It's really good so far, so I think you can safely get your hopes up for the upcoming anime adaptation!
Just wanted to thank you for the extra recs you've given me! I was worried that only Santas would be revealed, and I would never know, who 'this elf' is, so I'm glad that didn't happen!
I'm actually already half-way through the One Outs. It's my first sports anime, and I don't think I would ever consider watching it without your rec! Unfortunately, due to it not being a popular sport in my country, I didn't know even the basic rules of baseball (it's all about football over here :D), so I had to look it up. Moreover, the tricks and plot twists seem to grow more and more complex with each match (they lose me when they start talking about stealing bases and special rules and whatnot :O) My other gripe with it is that, unlike in Kaiji (one of my favorites), the stakes never feel quite as high for Tokuchi to feel nervous or uncertain, no matter how high or low his monthly salary gets. Overall, I would still say that it is quite enjoyable, and is much better at being a 'gambling' anime than, say, Kakegurui.
As for the Sci;Adv series, I'm a big fan myself - I've read the Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head VNs, with Steins;Gate 0 and Chaos;Child on my 'Plan to Read very soon' list :D Can't say I've heard good things about the anime adaptations, however (aside from Steins;Gate), so I figured I'd wait for the VN translation, or read it in japanese, eventually. But maybe you're right about Robotic;Notes, it's score doesn't seem That low, haha.
Oh, and separate thanks for helping MAL out as an elf! I don't think I'd be able to sacrifice my time to match the participants and send out those PMs. Though I do hope to help with a couple backup gifts myself next year!

Hey, thanks for the Secret Santa recommendations. I really liked Gin no Saji. I blew through it like nothing cause it was really enjoyable. I'll definitely watch the second season and maybe even read the manga since I love Arakawa.
