| Any post-apocalyptic anime for obvious reasons. One Piece with its slavery/human trade/corrupt government/Celestial Dragons treating normal people like playthings. Actually most shounen series, there's usually these villains that can at least level cities or worse, nothing you can do anything against as a normal person who isn't the protagonist. |

If you're a random civilian chilling, your likely to be vaporized in the situations where space colonies slam into Earth or getting wrecked by the countless battles taking place in civilian centers. If you're a pilot, you're chances are better but you still have the chance of getting betrayed, getting vaporized by beam swords, or getting blown to bits with almost no chance of escape. |

| I think the worst wouldn't just be post-apocalyptic - I wouldn't necessarily mind living in certain post-apocalyptic worlds. For example, the world of Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou/Girls' Last Tour. If it was all that unpleasant and unbearable to picture yourself in and immerse yourself in, it wouldn't be an iyashikei in the first place. It's stark and bleak, but in a way that could be made both comfortable and freeing if you were lucky and resourceful enough to secure a continuous source of food and warm enough shelter. Some post-apocalyptic worlds, presumably taking place some time from the initial apocalyptic event, where small communities have managed to survive or start for the first time in its wake and are living a more primitive lifestyle bereft of some technological advances, conveniences, and societal practices which existed previously, like Sora no Woto and Humanity Has Declined, arguably aren't all that bad and could even be seen as desirable comparatively to the current world. I think more in line with the very worst would be something post-apocalyptic + apocalyptic. In other words, one where the main setting is post-apocalyptic, because an apocalypse of some form has already occurred prior to the events of the series, but a new apocalyptic event is on the verge of happening in that already destroyed and ravaged world. Apocalypse imminently about to happen to an already post-apocalyptic world. Something like Ergo Proxy. Plus (in EP), air is poisonously polluted outside of some small restricted spaces and the small restricted space you're in is ruled by an AI dictatorship council encouraging mindless consumption until your mind turns to mush. |

| Any apocolyptic or post-apocolyptic series are the most obvious. Later, you have sci-fi series with universes living in constant civil wars/galactic wars/terrorists attacks which its worse if mecha robots exist in such worlds. Then, medieval setting since even with magic or supernatural elements, people have a hard time living there. Finally, SOL non-supernatural worlds which they are not very different from the irl world except maybe characters with multicolour hair, so it will be pointless to live there. I'll add any series with racism between species/beings especially if both or one of them have powers like Hametsu no Oukoku, people who even don't have nothing to do with such conflicts are going to die anyways just for being human/non-human, also its quite easy to be branded as a traitor and you're going to be executed due to paranoia. I won't mind living in such worlds if I have OP powers or at least immortality. |

| You don't want to be in the worlds of any anime that's good. If you could choose, you'd want to be a Gary Stu with a load of harem girls to choose from with unexplainable power and plot armor. Where even when people die they do it in the mildest way possible, then they get reincarnated. Any anime with a plot that's actually interesting probably has stakes, which means that if you're a powerless NPC, you'd have a hard time surviving. You'd want a world with no stakes, no villain to up the ante, no shortage of resources to compel you to work. You could be one of the background lizards in Slime-kun's camp and do basic scavenging as "work" and get by the rest of your 300 years of life easy-peasy. |

| Any anime set in pre-modern digital age, for the same reason I would never wanna live in pre-digital period of Earth´s history. Most cyberpunk settings (love the aesthetics, but hate the worlds and how miserable they can get) Most Gundam settings. If it aint Build universe, you will probably die by some random Mobile Suit ruining everyones day. Chainsaw Man universe, or any universe with secret demons, devils, magic, and supernatural metaphysical nonsense. Post-apocalypses, similar reasons as pre-modern and cyberpunk settings. Settings with constant wars, terrorism, and mass destruction cause protag kun got into the mech. A world without anime or one with only bad anime. Any setting with super buy-eyed alien looking humans. |
