This is a list detailing the in universe chronological order of the 1988 LoGH OVA, including the Gaiden series and related movies. Although all of the Gaiden series and movies are set before the main series, I strongly recommend finishing the series before proceeding to the other content. The in-universe chronological years are written in the description of each work. While the two Gaiden are two separate releases, these should be watched at the same time according to the chronological order, the arc watch order is included in the description of both series.
The Golden Wings movie adaptation is excluded from this list due to having a different director, voice cast and character design than the OVA.

The first Gaiden series, released in 1998. Follows the rise of Reinhard von Musel and Siegfried Kircheis among the ranks of the Galactic Empire.Contains four arcs in non chronological order, must be watched in chronological order alongside the second Gaiden to fully grasp the stories.
-Silver-White Valley: July of Imperial Year 482, narrates Reinhard´s and Kircheis´first ground mission after graduating from the Military Cadet School.
-Dreams of the Morning, Songs of the Night: Imperial Year 484, Reinhard and Kircheis return to their alma mater and encounter a murder case at the academy.
-Dishonor: Imperial Year 486, Kircheis goes on vacation to a resort asteroid and uncovers a drug smuggling scheme.
-A Hundred Billion Lights, A Hundred Billion Stars: March of Imperial Year 485, focuses mostly ground-based struggle between the Rosenritter Regime and an Imperial ex Rosenritter. While Reinhard is stationed on the planet where the battle takes place, the focus is mostly onto the Rosenritter.

The second and final Gaiden series, released in 1999. Has a longer arc narrating Yang Wenli´s past and shorter stories focusing on Reinhard and Kircheis. While the arcs are in chronological order, I recommend watching in chronological order alongside the first Gaiden.
-Spiral Labyrinth: From Space Year 788, Imperial Year 479 (Battle of El Facil) to Space Year 789, Imperial Year 480. Chronicles the early years of Yang Wenli, mostly following the events after El Facil. Yang investigates the life of brilliant Alliance Fleet Admiral Bruce Ashbey, some episodes are flashbacks to his life and battles.
-The Mutineer: August of Imperial Year 482, Reinhard and Kircheis are assigned to an small fleet. After an accident occurs, Reinhard takes command of the ship.
-The Duelist: January of Imperial Year 483, Reinhard has to participate in a duel in order to protect the interests of Annerose´s friend.
-The Retriever: December of Imperial Year 483, Reinhard is confided with a secret mission to retrieve a prototype Seffle particle generator.
-Third Battle of Tiamat: December of Imperial Year 485, Reinhard´s participation on a battle to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the reign of Kaiser Friedich IV.
