Rock Eagle looks cute! Yeah, this mosquitoes and the heat is unreal. I struggle with keeping cold water…cold since I don’t have the hydration backpacks, haha.

Bruhhhh *opens backpack*

I’ve seen some vlogs and photos as well, being at the summit is too stunning for words. With or without the view of the sunrise or sunset, the clouds surrounding you is surreal.

How are you liking Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai? It’s frustrating me…the guy is too nice for his own good.

> I’ve heard many good things about Ghost in the Shell and how it has a more darker and serious tone, I initially was going to watch it when I was returning from vacation but instead focused on catching up to every single seasonal that I missed during the week I was gone.

I think those words (darker, serious) don't do justice in describing the narrative driven screenplay of the movie, but I wouldn't say that those are very misleading, maybe an attempt to simplify something sophisticated, which I personally found quite out of place.

> I will say that my favorites are the ones that have left the most significant impression and impact on me.

I'll say the same for thing for the 2 anime I've added to my Favorite. One (I Can Hear the Sea) changed my perception towards the world, I realized that my world is too small, and it might be the reason why I'm not very happy with the people around me.
The 2nd (Ghost in the Shell) made me feel that I'm not very desperate for the things I want to happen, I fear my inevitable vulnerability, I can never become a better person if I'm not willing break my own created bubble of insecurities, then fall and fail, and learn.

> I personally believe that memories serve as the sole sign of one’s existence and vulnerability is more directed towards our own humanity but I can see where you are coming from.

It's just something I think because of the context, it's not as strong as to be called a believe, but what you believe makes total sense to me, in fact there's a monologue in the movie that features the same thoughts as you, on existence.

As to clarify my stance on vulnerability, I think vulnerability is a proof of being alive and conscious, essentially related to your very existence, one of the things featured in the movie, is having the ability to dive into the net with your consciousness, accessing and processing data like a computer with a brain said to be that of a human, which can make someone question the reality of their existence, aren't they a program or actually have any control over their actions, the path of desperation and vulnerability may answer the question, my words wouldn't make much sense, as you might have to watch the very media in question to understand what I'm blabbering about, and my apologies for dragging this much, you don't have to take this very seriously, I myself more interested in talking with you about Yuru Camp anytime soon, this was just to tell about what I think and feel about certain things, basically just my thoughts, nothing like a question to be answered.

> They’re personally more hit or miss on my end but for most people, especially new watchers, they’ll be able to satisfy most needs. Do let me know what you think though :D, I like Grave of the Fireflies and Mononoke Hime the most out of what I’ve seen so far.

Well, that sounds nice. I'll most likely watch Grave of the Fireflies the next weekend, and will let you know my thoughts and experience of it.

I just have an anime burn out, even if i enjoy a show (like Frieren) I'm probably going to drop it. I have dropped even short animes. I haven't really finished anything from like a half a year or maybe even more.

Yess! You can hmu after school and we can decide on a show/movie to watch then ^^
Rajidae Apr 23, 2:05 PM
Do you have time tomorrow? -w-

I should be free all day
Lightskynight Apr 23, 10:26 AM
Where did you go? The phrase is definitely relatable; for me it’s includes any outdoor activity with nature. ^^

Haha, the series gives great locations if you are in that area. I’m in the US and was lucky that my hometown is surrounded by their own hiking trails/mountains. Pfft…gosh, once I had visit Utah and their mountains were absolutely gorgeous.

My trip for Fuji is ideally this year, but we’re waiting on one person to give us the go!

That was certainly confusing, but I'll start watching it soon so, I guess it's going to be fun. Nice to know that anime have changed your life for better, even I can relate to this a bit, I recently saw Ghost in the Shell anime, and it was so sophisticatedly philosophical, while I wasn't the best observer of it's world, I was mesmerized by it's philosophy on life, the protagonist, very mature and strong willed, was no exception to vulnerability, it made feel that vulnerability is the most human thing you have as a proof of your human existence.

I'll start it from today, and maybe till next week we can have a small chat about it, I'll hit you up when I'm done watching the first season.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the tip. I'm looking forward towards watching more of their works, they made quite a lot of anime, which sounds very good to me.

I guess there's some really fascinating context behind that quote, it makes me curious about the anime even more, I think I can start watching it soon, I like your views, they're positive and thoughtful, I'm quite a depressed person so, sometimes I just fail at seeing the beauty of the space I got, and I often think of my loneliness as a curse or misfortune, I recently realized that what I need to do is work on myself, sounds pretty basic, but for some stupid reasons, I never considered sonething as simply as this, I'm reading books, started socializing with people online (I intend to do the same thing in real life, just need some more time to feel better and confident myself), and willing to consume media such as anime and manga.

Yes, those certainly brings nuance to what we already perceive, I'd love to hear your views about Yuru Camp when I'm done watching it myself.

Cool! I haven't seen many anime so, it may take a while for me to start seasonals, maybe next season? I just finished watching Ocean Waves/I Can Hear the Sea, and what an anime it is, a very delicately crafted story, I love the aesthetics and music, and the characters, especially the female lead is such a relatable and complex character, thanks for suggesting those other anime from the same studio, I'll watch them anytime soon since my first impression of the studio's work have been just great.
Mehwish_999 Apr 22, 11:10 AM
I like that quote, it speaks to me in a way that I feel like someone just told me way to cure my own emptiness and embrace my loneliness, anyways, I really like your profile, I wish to make my own like yours, like using those features you've used to make it look fascinating.

I'll surely hit you up with my experience/impression of it, as I really want to talk about the stuff I'm exploring, cause I haven't never done that and it feels very boring to just consume something and move on to the next thing.

Well, um, I don't know what to really bring up here, maybe just tell me about some good stuff, like anime and manga you've consumed so, I can get some media to try as I've only recently started to watch anime beyond the more centric shows I used to follow on TV as a kid.
Mehwish_999 Apr 22, 10:42 AM
It feels quite disappointing or should I say I took things way too literally here, my apologies for making that superficial assumption. I might want to check that anime anytime soon, maybe it'll spark some interest in me for something like camping, but I'll watch it regardless of that. Your camping experience sounds very cool to me, but I did thought that you might have did it many times.
Mehwish_999 Apr 22, 9:38 AM
Nice to meet you too : )
For someone who never did camping, I ask you, how does it feels like to walk with freedom and excitement, I've yet to grow for that kind of privilege, but I'm curious about the fun.
Lightskynight Apr 21, 8:43 AM
Nice to see a fellow camper. I was happy to see they are working on season 3.
This show is what inspired me to take on hiking.
Hiking Mount Fuji is an anticipated one that will happen fairly soon. ^^
GentleDragonite Apr 21, 6:26 AM
I am actually planning to visit Japan in the summer, but I am not going to Yamanashi (might be passing by though). If I find any good rural/ nature spots, I will be sure to share some pictures with you :).

I was really hoping to stop by Yamanashi for a night or two in the travel plans but unfortunately we could not fit it in.
Hope you also get a chance to go in the future, sorry for making you jealous in advance T_T
GentleDragonite Apr 21, 6:05 AM
It must be so surreal to visit the places in Yuru Camp in the same way as the characters. I have heard that there was a revival in the interest among Japanese people in outdoor camping during winter after the release of Yuru Camp season 1, especially around Mount Fuji, so they must have felt the same as we have lol
GentleDragonite Apr 20, 8:03 PM
The tea has a very strong tea flavour, probably from how fresh the tea leaves are. It is probably even better if you drink it locally but i got it delivered so it is probably of a slightly lower quality.

That is a really cool site lol, really respect the people who found these locations in Yuru camp, just show how faithful Yuru Camp is to its geographical location. (It must be really fun to write the manga, its basically your job to go outside and find these scenic spots to draw in your manga lol)
It’s time to ditch the text file.
