Here is my favorite three Anime. This is what I am all about.
I grew up watching Pokémon and Beyblade. Though I had no idea what Anime actually was growing up. I started watching main-stream Anime in 2018. But I was a Normie and not a regular watcher back then. So you could say, I actually got into Anime in 2020.
These days, I don't watch Anime that often and If I do, I mostly watch Seasonals. If it's available, I only watch Dub with some exceptions. I know Subs are better than Dubs but I would rather watch my scenes than read subtitles, A Picture tells a thousand words after all.
2024 Update: I stopped watching Anime all together in 2022-23 (Not Manga though). But AoT Final part got me back again.
10- Just perfect, There are no flaws in it, a true Masterpiece 9- Definitely a 10 score candidate, but have some slight flaws / For some reason it's close to my heart even though it may not be a Masterpiece 8- I thoroughly enjoyed this Anime 7- It's an good Anime, But it's missing something that a 8 Scored one is able to deliver 6- It's fine, not bad or not that good, Just a bit unsatisfied / An average Anime 5- Pretty boring, wanted this Anime to finish as fast as possible / Below average 4- Pretty bad, felt like a waste of time / I have personal reasons to hate this Anime 3- Unbearable to watch, also probably dropped as well 2/1- I don't think I will ever give an Anime 2/1, due to the efforts that has been put into it's making
Sometimes, My Ratings are affected by my mood (and how much I have grown as an Anime watcher XD), so yeah, my Ratings may not be perfect. Some Anime in my dropped section are not bad, they are just not for me / I got sick of having them in On hold section. They are there, simply to remind me to pick them up when I have the mood in the future.
Anime, Which are in my favorite does not represent the best ones. Those are just the Anime which I really enjoyed watching and have personal attachments .
That's exactly the kind of discussions I'd much rather avoid if possible. Politics are a messy business lol. And you're right about most of the subs just being echo chambers. Eventually it just become much less a place to discuss certain topics and more about whether you share the generally accepted opinion or not. And there's hell to pay if you so much as mention a different viewpoint.
I do tend to avoid Reddit nowadays. It was a good source for news or for getting answers to questions, but it always seemed to devolve into arguments or people just trying to one up each other all the time. It's far too tiring to handle lol.
