| I like to check out shows by watching their first episode of them, but it makes it awkward when someone asks me if I watched it since one episode is too little to talk about, and it sounds like I don't like the show. Saying I that I only watched one episode tends to kill the conversation. So, that's why I say I haven't watched it. |

Only because watched it as a spur of the moment thing when I randomly came across the anime. >though since I don't add hentai to my list then technically theres hundreds of anime I'm pretending I haven't seen so nvm. |

| I never do that. Even though around 500 anime in my list is like that, I always say that I watched the first ep and will go back to it, when I have the mood etc. The people I usually talk to about anime are used to it and instead of killing the conversation, it does the opposite. They even joke about it xd |

| My Anime List-wise, yes. If I watched just all of the first episode or some of the first episode and just didn't feel like watching the anime after all, I might just never put it on my list instead of putting it as dropped or on hold. I'm actively trying to tame my on hold list, so I'm trying hard not to put things there too often unless it's truly on hold for a good reason (production stalled, I plan to come back to it almost immediately, etc.) Meanwhile, I don't actually drop anime. The two things in my dropped are just things I doubt I'll get too any time soon/in my lifetime, so anything would go in on hold or PTW-- which I'm also trying to tame/get through. So sometimes just not adding an anime and pretending to never have watched it works best for what I'm trying to do with my list. I usually just try to leave a comment on the first episode of an anime so I can look back to see if I watched the first episode or not. I've missed some, but it's fine for now.;; Sometimes, I will have watched quite a few episodes and will end up not adding it. That's especially if I can't find more episodes of an anime or something. That just depends though. My on hold has a few of those and it kinda annoys me, so I try to avoid putting them on in the first place. In person though, I don't pretend I've never watched them. I'll probably explain that I tried watching it and just wasn't in the mood for it or something. For example, I'm sometimes down for high stakes type of anime and sometimes not, so that usually gets into a whole other conversation about our usual likes and such. So I usually don't mind talking about the things I pretend not to have watched list-wise. |

| If it's about my list then, there are some anime that I have technically dropped but haven't added to my list because it was less dropping them and more I didn't feel like watching/starting them at the time, so I watched part of the first ep and then stopped watching them. If it's about talking to people, then I don't pretend I haven't seen something because if it's a show that I've only watched the first ep of then I'll talk about my first impressions I got from that ep. |
| I used to have a whole other account to keep track of only hentai and pretended I never watched those, but after I've watched plenty of anime, after a while I didn't care and started listing almost all the hentai I've watched on my main list here. |
