I think maybe this has been asked before, but just in case it hasn't, have you ever watched an anime in another language besides Japanese and English? Maybe it was your native language. Was it particularly well-made or just very enjoyable?

Yeah, I'm already used to watching Chinese dubbed animes, particularly Link Click, The King's Avatar and Uncharted Walker

I hope to see some Korean dubs when the popular Manhwas gets adapted like Solo Leveling

every time i went to see an anime in a movie theater. in my country, literally everything is dubbed in Russian and that sucks
i also watched Shimoneta in Russian dub because i accidentally downloaded files with only signs subbed, no subs for dialogue and i was going to watch it ironically anyways so i decided to give it a try

Yes.

Tanoshii Mummin Ikka - some of the episodes in Finnish, because the entirety of the series hasn't been English subbed and released online yet with the original Japanese audio.

I would have gladly watched the rest of the series in Finnish with English subs given the fact that the voices, especially some - namely Snufkin, were very fitting as an alternative interpretation of the characters and in line with their general personality framework I had already surmised from the Japanese voice acting. And because, given the rural Nordic countryside folkloric setting and the fact that it's based on a book series by a Swedophone Finnish author, I thought either Finnish or Swedish would fit particularly well as a substitute for the Japanese.

Unfortunately, most of it in Finnish isn't English subbed either.

I have watched anime in Latin-American Spanish (my native language because I'm from Mexico), in Castillan Spanish (from Spain) and in Catala (because the language is really similar to Spanish honestly).
And well, the donghuas i watched were in the original Chinese, but I don't know if that counts.

Also, yes, I think most of the dubs made in my country or in spanish are very enjoyable.

I tried watching Link Click and although the stories were interesting, I just couldn't bear listening to Chinese. It just felt very odd. I've also watched some Korean dramas and Spanish content, and I could comfortably listen to them while reading the subs, so its not an issue of over exposure to Japanese. Just the way its pronounced felt so odd that I had to keep Link Click on hold.

Yes, in my albanian native language. Our dubs are generally really bad, but there were some legendary dubs back in the 2000's. Albania has the best Shrek dub I've ever seen. It's arguably one of the best dubs ever made. When it comes to anime, our Dragon Ball dub was pretty good, Conan, Yu-Gi-Oh and Naruto all had good albanian dubs as well.

I also watched Link Click in chinese.

Yes, in polish. Quite a time ago some anime were on TV and they were fully dubbed in polish, when Belle will be available (didn't check yet) somewhere online with polish dub I'd watch it only in dub to check how good/bad it is + I like alot of Zawiałow songs as she's very talented (but her main songs are synthwave type here for Belle she just nailed it to the perfection, didn't know she can make such a wonderfull voice ) and she's the singing voice for Belle.

If we're talking dubs, then naturally I have watched some anime in my native language, especially those watched before getting internet.

If we're talking subs, not only have I watched anime in my native language, but I also watched a bit in German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Indonesian simply because they weren't subbed in English. I don't know any of the languages listed and used Google to translate most lines.

I watched some Ghibli movies (Spirited Away and Howls moving castle) in my native language, croatian. I also watched some kodomomuke in croatian as well. I never watched anime in any other language than Japanese, English or Croatian.
I also watched Link click in Chinese, but even though I added it on my list, I don't consider it anime since it's Chinese.

Vaguely recall watching an anime called Hajime Ningen Gon in what I believe was Spanish, when it randomly popped up in my Youtube feed.

Did not understand what was going on in it, nor do I think I would have even if it was in English.

EDIT: LMAO, it wasn’t Spanish, it was Hindi. No clue how I mixed up the two.

The Brazilian dub of Fullmetal Alchemist is the best dub of all time. You should try watching it while subbed in English. The dub is totally unfiltered, not politically correct and filled with sentiment, emotion and hardcore feeling. Watch it on NETFLIX. You Nine Track Minded moefied weelhio.
