Brook is also showing why he is one of the greatest Straw Hats in this episode, showing how he managed to get the Poneglyph rubbings even in the face of Big Mom! also, a really great character is appearing in the next episode, so be prepared! |
| Holy Shit! the madmen actually did it. They literally adapted 5 pages of Chapter 855 in this episode. I can't stop laughing for some reason. XD That being said, they actually adapted it pretty damn well even with the filler content and I actually really liked the episode. I'm surprised they chose to use a more epic tune rather than a more melancholic soundtrack when Sanji was searching for Luffy. I found it funny that there were so many people with Luffy like features on the battlefield. xD Sanji's face when he saw Luffy again was really heartwarming. :) Props to Brook, he did the impossible, he has gone over and beyond in achieving is goal. Huge praise for him. Great Job Brook! Also, am I the only one sad that Brook rarely every says "Skull Joke" anymore? It's like I keep expecting it, but it never happens anymore. :( |

The Germa stuff was from the next chapter. They ended the episode with the final panel from 855 so I guess I got confused a bit. |

| FINALLY!!! Sanji is finally reunited with Luffy!!! And I did not expect Brook to actually manage to copy even 1 of the poneglyph when in reality he managed to completely copy all 3 of Big mom's poneglyphs! Nice job Brook and Sanji! |

| I don't understand TOEI anymore, they made an amazing episode out of the filler part. I've been waiting for the Brook moment animated and it was so worth it LMAO! Sanji's reaction to finding Luffy was tearjerking, that's a face you don't see Sanji make! What I love about Oda's characters is that they have their own arc in which they're different from how they usually are because of how messed up everything is. Robin was cool and calm but cried her lungs out while screaming I want to live! Nami was independent and sneaky but clinging to Luffy while asking him for help. This really makes them stand out as characters cause we learn so much about them. That's the magic of One Piece |

| That was an amazing episode and I'm freaking out! The fight in the rain was gritty as hell, and the emotional climax with Sanji searching through the corpses we're super well done. This is the best episode of WCI so far. |

| It's just so awesome that Brook managed to get the copy of the porneglyph. I was as surprised as the others. I can imagine how many people are after this. Oh man Luffys fight against that Big Mom guy was hard to watch. He shouldn't be able to move or even to fight. The Vinsmokes were celebrating that they will finally have an alliance with Big Mom. I can't wait for their faces when they find out the truth. I'm so glad Sanji and Luffy finally have their reunion. It felt like Sanji ran for 10 episodes to find him. Seeing Luffy like that and Sanjis face was hard to watch :( |

| I'd like to start this post with some negative or at least unclear feelings. When it comes to the Sanji - Luffy conflict, there is something that stops me from being fully absorbed. I'd like to compare this with the Usopp - Luffy conflict to illuminate why. Perhaps it is my fault for not fully understanding Sanji’s feelings, but I don't, at least not confidently- I only have theories, and it makes his current actions consist of intrigue and curiosity rather than emotional response. When it came to Usopp, I had seen him crumbling slowly up until the breaking point. I had felt exactly why he responded in the way he responded, and I understood why Luffy responded the way he did. It was painful and I was bawling my eyes out the entire time. I said this is probably more so unclear feelings rather than negative for obvious reasons; this is NOT criticism, but the more negative side is how, with this in mind, the obvious nature of this conflict makes me a little bored. We’ve known since the separation how this would end and we’re taking our sweet time getting to the reunion. I have seen Luffy’s undying and suicidal will power time and time again at this point, it’s nothing new excluding the flavour of his suffering. I know that they are going to meet at this field after both are pushed to the edge and Sanji will try to give Luffy the meal. None of this part interests me. All I want is to see more of Sanji’s feelings and responses. Because of this, seeing Sanji slowly run over and check every body makes me bored, as does seeing Luffy torture porn. As if it's filling the time with everything we already know. Now, this was a small part of the episode compared to the other aspects which I adored. Brook warmed my heart so much. He overwhelmed me with emotion. Firstly, seeing the brotherhood form between him and Pedro has been delightful. When Pedro apologized after risking his life, Brook seemed genuinely upset, if anyone knows to be grateful for their friends, it is him. The thought of Pedro feeling ashamed was not one he would allow, he was thankful for all he did! After seeing this heartfelt moment, it became triumphant and hilarious. His casual demeanour after doing something that only Roger has probably ever done, opening his head up and scaring the hell out of Jimbei, and the creativity in that solution being the reason why they could not find the poneglyphs on him created a joyous feeling; so many good vibes. And above all else, it was a statement that what they did was worth it, the efforts were not in vain, they succeeded!!! Plus Brook looks adorable in his outfit, I cannot blame Mom for her infatuation! Lastly, Bege's role in all of this finally coming back up reminded me that this could get really crazy. To start with, Jimbei stated they saved Pekoms from the sharks and he suggested that the wedding will not be peaceful. This evoked a realization that Bege is totally going to crash the wedding!!! We need it to be as crazy as humanly possible after all, and that would do it. I don't fully understand his actions here, but Pekom’s did imply he rejected an offer from Bege, and that Bege underestimated Mom. It seems like the supernova may be about to attempt something unheard of. Another plot, one even secret to us, is brewing in the background. I am very fond of Bege, I adored his role on Zou, and seeing this start to come together made me feel a serious sense of wonder and excitement. |

| It looked like everything Brook and Pedro had done was all for naught but he really just pulled out the Poneglyph prints out of his head and it was hilarious~ It seems that Pekoms is safe and sound thanks to the Sun Pirates getting to him before he ended up drowning. Luffy and Sanji's finally reuniting with each other. You gotta feed him now! |

| Wow, Brook got me speechless, it was hilarious how he acted chill after showing off all of the Poneglyphs he made copies of Sanji's relationship with Luffy is more than just a friendship, they're like family, one of the only people that receive this much attention, and care. Luffy had a strong belief and trust in Sanji, and Sanji knowing what type of person Luffy is after sailing with each other for a long while. Luffy exactly knew everything of what he said and had no doubts before being determined by awaiting Sanji's return. After everything Sanji went through, the lie from big mom, 3 of his brothers attacking him, and Puddings plan on backstabbing him. He is refreshed at that moment that Luffy kept his word as he sees him lay beside King Baum. |

| The look of relief on Sanji's face at the end was just too precious. I can't wait to see his expression when he's finally free of this wretched wedding and back on the Sunny with the rest of the Straw Hats. I knew it was uncharacteristic for a Supernova like Bege to play subordinate to Big Mom. I was starting to think that he struck a deal with the Vinsmokes, but perhaps he's planning to use the chaos at the wedding to his own advantage. As the Godfather would say, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." |
