| I mean, i've considered cutting off the community entirely (and that card is definitely still not off the table), but I don't see myself abandoning the site itself unless a better alternative database pops up (doubtful) or I stop watching anime altogether in the future (very doubtful). I like listing and keeping track of stuff, and MAL is just so convenient and useful for that. |

So once I perused some topics here, I read some manhwa actually, I like colors :D This past week I finished 2 short ones I really liked. |

| Yes in terms of being active on forums and stuff, but no when it comes to keeping track of my lists. But who knows maybe I'll just fall back on my Anilist account if Mal ever gets too bothersome for me. |

| The community side of things? For sure, it may even happen a lot sooner, but we will see when push comes to shove or if I actually get a hold of myself enough to control what I do. I like the community side of things. I really do but I've spent way too much time for my own good. Looking for something that has a reward that doesn't necessarily overcome the drawbacks. I may just not participate in seasonal review racing, and only use forums when I finish watching an episode just to comment on the ep discussion because it is just too much otherwise. The site? Hmm, idk. Maybe if I want to move to a quieter place, but I doubt that. I've made so much input on MAL that simply leaving it for good is going to be hard to stick to. There are also the custom CSS lists and the actual list itself, accompanied by many other things like good DB and what have you. Leaving MAL is probably not going to happen, since I will stay and watch anime and I'd like to track what I've seen, but the community I may say bye bye to one of these days. |

| I did for about 3 days. I just wasn't feeling the forums topics and stuff (the vibe), but then realized I've been incredibly busy for the past week (AS I SHOULD BE), as I get back on my feet after 2 years of just working from home and assisting my elderly parents and seeing to my daughter who also moved in with the three of us, as Covid Variable Era has changed a lot of people. I joined mainly to keep track of my anime stuff and not just jot stuff down on a notebook. But I love forums and was active on many others in the past. Only difference is I'm not the young blood anymore, so I have to realize that threads are going to be all over the place. Can't let it deter me from having convos or just throwing in my 2 cents. Overall MAL is much better than some cesspools I've posted at in the past. Or perhaps I have yet to see the true dark side of this place. I figure I'll be here just to pass the time when I'm not on my DISCORD, so NOPE. Not going anywhere Just be more sporadic than I had been.  |
| My first anime list site that I used was Anime-Planet. My MAL account was made 7 months after my A-P account and while I tend to prefer the set up more on A-P due to the challenges, lists, and review set up I prefer MAL for the forums so I always use both sites and have no intention of leaving one of them behind unless their respective sites shut down for some reason... |
