Run with the Wind has a great soundtrack and it's not valued highly enough.
What other anime series have great soundtracks that are underrated?

In my opinion Your Lie in April has the best soundtrack in all of anime, it’s weird that it’s never talked about when it comes to the actually music in the show, a lot of people just don’t notice it I guess.

Oh boy, definitely the Seven Deadly Sins soundtrack. A lot of people may not know this. Though the same composer Hiroyuki Sawano. Who does the AOT soundtrack. Does the SDS soundtrack. In which a lot of people hold the OST for AOT in high esteem. I mean AOT is AOT. So his other works for other series probably get overshadowed by quite a bit.

Not saying SDS isn't popular. Though you can tell Wrath of the Gods nuked the franchise. With Dragon's Judgment attempting to revive the series. Being a step up from the last season. Though falling short in terms of the animation of the first and second. The content covered in season three. Was highly anticipated and arguably the best parts of the series. Which most of the manga readers claim. With the content in Dragon's Judgment not being so looked forward to. So the demise of the series is legit because of bad animation. Heck check the reviews written and how many members are associated with the first and second. Then look at the third and fourth.

I'm kinda rambling on here while getting side tracked. Though it does help me get back on track. Since the animation was quite poor in Wrath of the Gods. It wasn't until that season, I started realizing the OST. Being ashamed it took me this long to realize SDS's OST. Sure I listened to Perfect Time or Escanor's theme. With the animation shot, it made me appreciate the underrated parts of the show. You never here the names of the people who do the OST. Though with composers like Hiroyuki Sawano. You definitely do, so yeah I believe the SDS soundtrack is underrated. Despite a anime soundtrack composing legend works on the series.

Hell yes this is exactly what I was thinking too. Wish the dub used the sub music as the dub music is kinda generic. I like dub Kaiba theme tho

The Dragon Ball Z Movie dub soundtracks are amazing. They sure as hell do not fit very well most of the time but they have an amazing compilation of heavy metal songs from all sorts of cool bands that I like. I wouldn't have known about bands like Disturbed without the brilliant placement of "The Game" in Cooler's Revenge, and the sound design in the dub making the music quiet down as Goku and Cooler went underwater was very satisfying

Psycho-Pass and Ajin are great, both composed by Yugo Kanno known for his work on Jojos.

A lot of fans skipped F/SN because they've been told so, that's why nobody knows the beauty of the OST of the series (well, except those who watched it lol)

Chihayafuru. I feel like Chihayafuru's soundtrack (and in general) never got the recognition it deserved. An absolute master-class in leitmotif and melody. I am forever saddened that composer Kousuke Yamashita never got the acclaim he deserves.

Monster. Among the many praises people give to Monster, the soundtrack is almost never one of them. Which is a shame, since its soundtrack has some of the most intense and memorable background tracks in anime.

Now and Then, Here and There. "Standing in the Sunset Glow" is a Top 5 Best Anime Background Tracks of All Time contender, and I will hear no word to the contrary. And the rest of the lineup is no slouch, either.

Princess Nine. This entire anime has been criminally overlooked for over 20 years now, and that infuriates me, considering how great a show it really is. And the soundtrack, performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra (!!!) and composed by Masamichi Amano, ranges from rock-solid to absolutely phenomenal.

And that'll have to do for now.

Witch Hunter Robin; very calming and is the biggest highlight of the series for me.

SEL and Bleach are not really underrated but not sure if their osts are; I highly doubt it for Bleach as it's composed by Shiro Sagisu. Regardless, both are addicting to listen to.

All 3 are pretty widely acknowledged in threads about great soundtracks, so they wouldn't qualify here.

Surely the soundtrack to Mahoutsukai no Yome. The soundtrack has been acclaimed by most of the audience, but few know the author of the OSTs. In fact, I think it was the composer's first job as an anime soundtrack.

I really think it deserves more attention.

March Comes in LIke a Lion is one I rarely see get talked about when people bring up soundtracks. March is one of my favourite anime because every element to me is perfect music included.

Yona of the Dawn is another one that I rarely hear about. I love listening to the soundtrack when reading the manga.

Also, Shiki had some great chilling & terrifying tracks. Nagi: A lull in the Sea had a calm, peaceful soundtrack. Both soundtracks really fit their respective anime's atmosphere.
