| She's a bit bland and overrated. Not even her design is memorable or creative. Her whole personality is she can kill titans and cares for Eren more than anything. Also put this under the Attack on Titan section or Anime Discussion, not contests. |

| i have not a good opinion on her. and this is sad, because i really want to like her. i like her design and she is strong and a badass. but her personallity(?) is bland like a used toiletpaper. no wait, you can wash down toilet paper and it's never coming back, maybe a boomerang is better for her. "Ereh, Ereh, Ereh" and can't her it anymore, she only lives for Eren and we all know not only her Ackermann blood is fault. "family" hm sure. making a family with him is fitting. then her devolment(?) i had high hopes for her as she Mikasa is a good "kick the dog" trope. i actually feel sorry for her, like i said, i want to like her. and i just hope she let Eren go. |

| My opinion on Mikasa? Boring and pretty much hollow character without much character development, whose only purpose is to yell "Eren" in all possible configurations and babysit Eren even if he doesn't want her to do it. Had she not been that strong and skilled, she would've been even worse. Same goes with her look - if there hadn't been Wit's character design for Mikasa, some people probably wouldn't have been that crazy about her. The Final Season proved my point after those "waifu lovers" fans were mad because Mikasa got older and stopped looking like Mikasa from the past. To think that people complained about Finn saying "Rey!" so often in Star Wars Sequel Trilogy... I guess they haven't seen Attack on Titan yet, lol. There are a lot of more interesting and complex characters in Attack on Titan, both when we are talking about men and women. |

| By far the blandest character of the immediately important cast. Levi also being a direct comparison of doing the stoic character better only makes her feel even more out of place. |

| She's literally JUST waifubait. A character created with the sales of merchandise in mind and NOTHING ELSE. Those aspects of her character you listed are part of her being waifubait. Super caring, super strong AND she's a horny virgin! Please be my waifu! There is no depth, they've been sticking together for a long time is all, that's why she cares for them. | Gets more hate than she deserves. She is a great character. Sure it can be argued that her development has some flaws, but that doesn't automatically mean she's a bad a character. We have even seen that if Eren died, she would be able to move on. There's a reason she is one of the most recognizable female characters in all of anime. |
| Her role should change from main to supporting. They also cut out a lot of her development in s3p1. |

As you can see (mostly in the manga) Mikasa DOES care about Sasha, she noticed when Sasha wasn’t acting like herself, she’s put herself at risk to save Sasha, and Mikasa’s character doesn’t revolve only around Eren. Yes, she cares about him and might even be a bit clingy, but wouldn’t you do the same for someone you love? Mikasa Ackerman is not just a powerful soldier but a deep, understanding, and caring person. In conclusion, I believe that Mikasa is a very underrated character in terms of her character depth, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. | She's ok. Honestly I feel like she has the least development out of the main crew barring Sasha whose just the likeable comedy relief. Eren matures and starts to come to grips with the reality of his situation, Armin gains confidence and has to deal with the weight of becoming the Colossal Titan, Jean grows more into a leadership role while dealing with the dilemma of murdering other humans, etc. Mikasa has had some development sure, with her hardening her resolve to live back in Trost and slowly trusting/caring for others throughout the show, but overall she's in many ways still a mentally damaged killing machine whose overprotective of Eren. With that being said, I'm probably more interested in her arc this final season than anyone else since Eren is clearly going down a dark path. It'll be interesting to see how she reacts. |

| She is a very good character. She is very badass. She is cute as hell. She has good character development in the trost arc and also much later in the manga. She has several really good decision-making scenes. The best one being when she gave up on Armin in episode 55 after Hanges speech (which is a very overlooked and underrated scene). That moment is honestly amazing and I would consider that as incredible character writing. I like that she seem to have a clear "priority list" when it comes to people she care about (something that makes her feel more human and relatable). This is shown in episode 36 when she tries to kill Ymir without hesitating when trying to save Eren, but when Historia protects Ymir she hesitates and gives Historia the option of choosing a side before deciding what to do with her. Mikasa also has good character writing related to her backstory. The fact that she basically got so traumatized by her parents death that she changed personality and stopped being a "cheerful and happy" girl, but became a much more silent and introverted character is imo solid character writing. Last but not least, Mikasa has an amazing voice actor. |

| A character with wasted potential. With Armin and Eren, you really feel they've come on leaps and bounds throughout the series, but unfortunately any meaningful development Mikasa had stopped in S2. At least in the anime. |

| What's my opinion? Well, she shouldn't even exist. Her function is 95% caring for Eren. Eren joins the army, so does she. Eren goes to scouts, so does she. Eren gets eaten by titan, she wants to die. Eren, Eren, EreH, EreHH... Then she is 5% about being an Ackerman, but still not half as good as Levi. What would happen if she died? Jack-shit. She has no importance other than being strong soldier as an Ackerman. |

| I think Mikasa is the biggest wasted potential of a character in AOT. Earlier in the series she was introduced as the badass character of the series and her relation with Eren was pretty well established. She even had some great character moments earlier in the series but then Isayama replaced her with Levi as the badass character and just left her on the sidelines. She has had very little significance as a character on the overall narrative ever since then. She is the one with the least character development in the main cast and is significantly outshone by other characters like Armin, Eren, Historia and Reiner which have had amazing development throughout the course of the series. The other major issue I have with her character is that she has an emotional range of a goldfish and thus a lot of her emotional moments with Eren comes of as forced and contrived. Overall I would say Mikasa could have been a great character but since the writer didn't focused a lot on her she just became a random side character with some occasional good moments. She is just one of the many AOT characters that I would immediately forget about once the series ends as she failed to leave any long lasting impression on me. |
