It's a simple motto every human being knows: If you're not enjoying something, just drop it. And I always say never try to make watching anime / reading manga a chore. If you an't feeling it, give it a break and move on. That being said, I'm somewhat enjoying GOH, I don't care about the overall score right now, nor am I trying to look to deep in this, but I just wanted to give my take on early reviews. |

Series has its problems, of course, it's not 10/10, but you should be blind or a salty hater to rate it 2 or 3. Even if it's worse than the source material (let's be honest- source material is better than adaptation in a lot of cases, nothing new here), at least rate a 4 or 5, no need to be such a rebellious child. |

| Reviews are by elitists complaining about pacing when they have no idea what they are even talking about most of the time (lel). Scores are by "casuals" who just rate a show based on their enjoyment I guess. The latest ep threw me off as well, cause Mira is just so generic and annoying. The entire ep was built around her and it was boring as hell, at least for me. I wish she would just disappear, even the wrestling girl was more likeable than her, even though she got so little screen time I can't even remember her name. |

| The thing that people often don't appreciate is that there is a trend to when people rate shows and review things, the easiest example to explain is with sequels. Sequels are rates higher generally because someone is significantly less likely to watch the sequel if they didn't like the first season. More relevantly to here though: 1) People who rate an anime after only 1-2 episodes are out generally (not always) tend to rate higher than those who wait til the end. 2) People are more likely to rate/review a show if it elicits a strong reaction, positive or negative. A lot of people liked the webtoon, and gave a good rating off the bat of the first episode. A lot of people who hadn't read it, and thought it was bad, saw the high ratings and felt almost compelled to review the show as the high rating felt like a personal offence to them. On a separate note, whilst reviewing an anime isn't something that you should do before it's over, I feel like I could write a review now that would have an 80% chance of holding relevance after it was over. I think in a lot of cases, even a couple of episodes is enough to know how good a show will be with relatively good certainty. |

| maybe they all are webtoon fanboys. as an anime only viewer, in my opinion, the good things from this show are just eye-catching visuals and good opening. but I also hate people who have just reviewed the show at the beginning of the episode. they should have to wait for more episodes, 6 maybe. why are they in a hurry to review lol. |

Like almost every single review. Quite the shame. I'll still find out for myself when I watch it, but that certainly isn't a good sign for the anime's reputation. Even Tower of God dropped to a 7.86. I have much less faith for the Noblesse anime now... I really think it will have a below 7.00 score at some point. |

| MAL scores mean next to nothing. Even though I love publishing my thoughts/reviews from time to time, even that doesn't mean much unless you're using it as a source of information whether or not to give something a chance. As long as you love or hate the actual thing yourself with nothing else influencing anything, that's all that matters. |
| The MAL score is also dependent on the kind of popularity the show gets, too. I do think average ratings for shows do matter to a certain degree but it depends on individual standards and preferences. |

| Generally people that go to reviews section and vote are those that do not agree with the average score. So it makes perfect sense that this happens. (Unless the anime is old enough to amass general consensus for its reviews). |
| The score is freefalling lmao ToG was at least interesting enough for me to read the source material, I don't think I'll be doing that to this one... Was excited about manhwas finally getting adaptations but it seems like the motto to all of these is to just rush everything really hard. |
