The problem is to know how to get those stars back. He have no time to lament. I must say, I wonder how they can keep a 26 episodes anime interesting with only rock-paper-scissor. | Freaking intense. Just like everyone else, I saw it coming, but it was done really well, so I can't complain. I'm curious how the underdogs deal with the situation. |

| I saw the charming backstabber act from a mile away just from how friendly he sounds but I guess that I'd have fallen for it too given the desperate situation at that moment. Kaiji crying after he had his trust crushed is like seeing an innocent loli finding out the world's cruelty the hard way ;-; I cannot stress enough that the soundtrack is a golden atmosphere provider ♡ Him bouncing back and even gathering two poor souls for a last stand gave me a lot of hype for the next episode. Let's do this~ |

| The despair, the regret. Damn, Kaiji was dumb but in a believable manner. Who wouldn't? I mean, a lot of people faced that kind of shit in real life many times and the fear and disappointment that comes afterward. The camera shaking in specific moments of tension and the always present effect of the OST (or the lack of it) is amazing. I'm really looking forward to this. 5/5 |

| Well, it was obvious that Fukai would stab Kaiji in the back,the situation kinda reminded me at HxH and Tonpa. Still interesting situation right now,wonder if all three are going to make it and if there will be another betrayal. Gotta say only two episodes in and I'm already sold,this anime is thrilling as hell. |

| This was nerve-wracking as hell. Funai's intentions were obvious from the start but the way Kaiji got to action after that is really exciting. |
| Ugh, I'm not liking this at all. The story seems shallow and relies too much on narration, it just feels like I'm getting so much shoved in my face at once and none of it having any substance, it already feels like they are just trying their best to stretch this thread bare plot over 20 some odd episodes. Also the art is pretty dull and the animation isn't very good. That along with the standard more repulsive japanese culture tropes is making this very hard to watch, might drop this and choose something else for this slot in the challenge. Too bad too, since the first episode made it seem like it had potential, I'll give it one more episode, but that's it. Also, I'm not sure what was so intense or nerve wracking about this episode, I was just annoyed that the show was over explaining everything, in fact I was just bored and wanted the show to be over like two thirds of the way through. |

| In episode 2, "you can't put your life on the decisions of others", Kaiji stepped on a rake and decided to win by uniting with others. From the very first episode, I was fascinated by the statue of Nika, to which people are crawling (all great works have a reference to antiquity). |
