It's pretty sad to see the faces of the 22/7 members knowing they have to disband. It sucks since they've come together like a family.

Depressing tbh that focused on 22/7 collectively. At least these idols retain their love for singing.

Is there a funi delay this week? Babylonia and 22/7 both not uploaded on time...

This episode was beyond sad, there was just an overwhelming feeling of gloom and heartache. The girls have grown so close together over the past year and now to have it all shattered so suddenly is heartbreaking. Everyone had finally begun getting a hang of this idol thing and trusting in their friends for support.

Highlight of the ep was surely Jun-chan's dancing at the train station lol

Overall really good episode and great set up for the next couple eps and the ultimate resolution, can't wait to see what the wall has planned next. Wish this wasn't so slept on

Man, I just feel so sad. Why did 22/7 disband? Stupid wall.
I guess they'll be back before the end of the season tho.

Jun singing at the train station was fun to see.

The after credit scene. Nicole and Miu were in the same class.

As I said last time, maybe it is the best route for an idol group disband that early according to an AI. Maybe they won't have any big success anymore.
But now it's really the time to show what functions idol also have despite singing and dancing. They give people joy, happiness and hope.

nooooooo how could they disband this early?? angsty-chan still hasn't had her backstory yet!!! was not expecting her to have gone to school with Mio though lol

and my god it's pretty much laughable at this point how badly they want to portray journalists/media, as if Akane's backstory wasn't enough. Like I know media can be really shitty/clickbaity, but they reallllly want to make it seem like everybody are just a bunch of assholes

Still amazed though at how good Sally's english is xd

also I really hope the Wall has a reallllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy good reason for this decision, going through all that trouble/effort to literally disband everything

It's because Daylight Savings Time started, likely all simulcast shows from now will have the extra hour delay since the release time in Japan doesn't change.

Curious why the wall demanded they disband, what's it's game here?

Jun-chan singing at the train station was definitely the best part of the episode.

yep, this anime went from 8/10 to 3/10 really quick, good job, nice way to kill my mood, as if i was already super happy lol

i'll still finish it as i was really enjoying the anime, but no matter what they do in the last 2 episodes, it's almost impossible for me to give it a decent score after this crap <.< i'll probably still give it bonus points for having some nice characters, specially Jun, Miu or Nicolle...Miyako and Sakura are nice too

if anything i wish a new agency would pick them up (all together, maybe as 11 like they were supposed to be?) and they were turned into the best idols of their time ... i would also say their company deserved to go down for that, but it already did LOL

the hell is going on was really enjoying this up till this point, was even holding out for some kind of hint of hope in the after credits but it turns out Nicole knew Miu unless their backstory since shes the last one that hasn't gotten one yet somehow ties into the disbandment.

like this can't be the real ending the most clear case is well yall just start a new group not like their bound by the rules of the wall anymore i mean Nicole already got scouted

Damn this was depressing. Watching the girls so helpless was frustrating. Also the post credit scene was good. So Nicole knew Miu before joining 22/7.

While ya'll sulking here, I found this episode to be thought-provoking and better than most episodes.

Previous episodes are all about individual issues but this episode finally addresses the mystery of the wall and the dynamic of the group.

Why was this group formed? Does everyone really wanted to be a part of the group? Can they lead without the wall's order? What's the purpose of the group?

The wall specifically said that if its order is not fulfilled, the group will cease to exist. But until the very end, they still do not dare to go against the wall's order by at least standing up for themselves in the conference room even knowing that either way, the group will still be disbanded. This shows that the group is already too used at following the wall's order without any direction on their own.
__

After watching the post-credit, I have a feeling that the wall is related to Nicole but we'll see.
Truth is absolute but human perception of truth is always relative.

From the group's perspective, they can't really continue on their own - the entire management and support staff is needed to run the show.

This just reaffirms what I already knew. Nicole is that bitch. She's the only one people are trying to put on even after the disbandment.

Also reaffirms the fact that Nicole and Miu are bound by fate.

The Wall's Orders to disband 22/7 was just an exercise in frustration, having given how much the girls have went through. But Nicole's provoking was one I'd suspect from even long ago, even towards this episode.

The Wall's Orders to disband 22/7 was just an exercise in frustration, having given how much the girls have went through. But Nicole's provoking was one I'd suspect from even long ago, even towards this episode.

The thing is, the girls are controlled out of subjugation not on their wills but on whatever "the outside society" deems right to the eyes. Even as they couldn't control the sudden outburst of the turn of events, the truth is hidden in full mystery and misery. It's the same way society works in tandem with such outbursts when it comes to idols, so that wasn't as much of a surprise.

For Nicole, this seems like part-and-parcel of business, and her relationship with Miu reconfirms their meeting of fate from Episode 1, even before 22/7. Whereas the other girls went back to their ordinary lives, other than treachery on the Wall's Orders, is there any significance at all left?

Farewell concert on the cards?

Or is it clever marketing ploy, disband with no real explanation, fans in uproar, re-assemble the band due to fans desire = bigger fanbase.

The twitter feeds hinted that the girls had no say in what happened and were being prevented from speaking.

errr how are they able to know there's no more orders that the Wall is spitting-out? is there a look-out that checks everyday!?
anyways the disbanding was straight forward but i guess it's up to the girls of they want 22/7 to move forward or some twist might happen...
4/5.

Considering she was born and lived her whole life in the US and moved to Japan to become a VA, her English should not be surprising. It's weird how her Japanese has a different tone from her English even though it's the same voice.

What's the Wall's plan for all this? Need answers on the Wall!

yea but it's rare to find that many cases of english speaking seiyuu actually getting to utilize their skills. Murase Ayumu was also born in the US but he's had seldom chances of speaking english sentences. but yea given her background it shouldn't really be surprising lel

So its Nicole will be the last one to have a background story, so it must be so important and based on last scene, its somewhat connected to Miu's past.

2 episodes left i wonder what will happen next after the disbandment.

I'm so not interested in the wall..
The whole disbanding thing feels like forced drama and unnecessary. Kinda like the awkwardness and tension of ep1-3 just to make Miu shine in ep3.

a little late in watching because the coronavirus got me busy with other things.

Jun-chan is funny, can't stop singing! she reminded me of a retired boxer here in our country who can't stop hitting the punching bag at his home. Also she tried to sing outside, but had to run away. :heh:

Nicole did not apologize. Because there's nothing to apologize for..
So she actually met sad panda Miyu in her younger years?!

That wall is such a troll. It was nice that besides that hate posts, some fans understand that the girls don't have any say in it.

Oh. A bit surprising Nicole and Miu knew it each other before. Childhood friends perhaps?

Come to think of it, 22/7 somewhat reminds me of Kokoro Connect, where there's an unseen power forcing characters to suffer arbitrary drama for no apparent reason. It would make more sense if it were just life being life with the characters experiencing issues as they come up, but by having that unseen power driving everything, it brings up the question of, well...why? It means there was a conscious decision to create drama, rather than the characters just being victims of circumstance, meaning there's a specific cause of all the problems in the show: the wall. It's even worse when the idols have to somehow explain their unexplainable circumstances, and are thus made the scapegoats of media scrutiny for reasons unknown. Rather than sympathizing with the characters, I spent the episode questioning what the purpose of anime was.

Yeah, depressing as i remembered. Fake nervous laughs for refusing to accept the disbandment, the same manager barely hiding his disappointment, clearing out the entire building, staying sadly with heads down at the press conference unable to explain anything in front of confused reporters. Trying to have a laugh at this point, it's understandable Nicole seems so upset, she is probably thinking "We disband before i get my own focused episode? Why?" even if from the previews now it clearly is the time for it. And not gonna lie, Reika's father scene was the most impactful among the ones with the girls returning to the families or just contacting them on the phone, he clearly bought every possible piece of merchandise of her daughter released in just 12 months in order to support her.
(save your time and don't try to comfort when i rant on casual discussion or forum games, feel free to ignore me, i won't take it personally)
