| I had some very strong emotions towards them the last awards, but I kinda stopped caring. It's just a popularity contest, I don't value the results at all but I also feel like hating on CR for it is an overreaction. It's not like the Crunchyroll staff are the sole reason for some of these awful winners. Also, let's be real, does anyone even give a shit about award shows in ANY medium? I actually liked the Oscars this year but typically I find them shit, so if an award show for the biggest medium can't get it right I don't expect a niche community to be able to do it better. I still hate the idea of a vote based awards show like CR does, it promotes popularity over quality, but it's a bit too unproductive to shit on people who did nothing wrong. I actually kind of feel bad for going so hard on them the last couple of years. |

Listen, I get that you may find it to be trash or overrated, but the above shows that Demon Slayer had the same amount as Kaguya-sama: Love is War. Previous years, one show would have like a 5 win difference between itself and others. This year felt more spread out though the nominations were not the most pleasing. |

| Just finished watching it, the awards themselves were questionable but honestly the show itself was much more entertaining then last years, still awkward for most of the time (especially the rap sequence) but entertaining. |

With those awards its just popularity > quality i would bet 3.5$ that if the Oscars had the same system "Joker" wouldve won for sure given that many people didnt even watch parasite and now bash the Oscars for given BP to Parasite. As for the Crunchy Awards, almost every award win was predictable and i only agree with a fracture of them. | I was really happy with them this year, apart from couple things (ofc there is always something to complain about so those too). Positives: +I feel like the nominations were really good compared to some other years as were the categories. They really have improved those and there wasn't wtf is this here moments. +No sweeping, lot of different shows shined! + Some surprises. Isabela! Raphtalia! Who would have guessed those? +I think most if not all winners were well-deserved. Well I guess I can say all and let go of salt. Negatives: - Why treat best OP, ED, seiyuus and genre awards as side or bonus awards? Those are good categories too! - No Mob in best protagonist, he had amazing character arc this year and the theme of the season was that ur protagonist of ur own life that he became. I'd have preferred him in this category over best Boy. - While the show has lot of intentional cringe for the comedy, it doesn't land that often and sometimes they just keep going with it too long. - No wins for Fruits Basket, Given or Kanata no Astra. Oh well, expected. . |

| It was much better than last years awards. Best antagonist should have been Askeladd Best guy was the worst part which was awarded to KnY mc. It should have been given to Bruno or Mob. Best score should have been Jojo part 5. I agreed with Raphtalia as best girl. I agreed with Senku winning best protagonist. |

| God, it was so fucking bad. From the shitty subscription box shilling to the god awful rap video to the headache inducing KonoSuba dub, it was hysterical how much of a cringe fest it was. To make matters worse, while they included all of this stupid shit, they basically just glossed over half of the awards by just quickly announcing the winners and not even going over the nominees. Top this off with the fact that the Awards continue to ignore anime films altogether and they somehow manage to have an award ceremony more asinine than the Oscars. Edit: Also no fucking mention of KyoAni, fucking assholes. |

| From what I can tell the right things won. Demon Slayer deserved AOTY etc and Mob Psycho II got an award. Nothing to complain about. At least BNHA is basically over now and these awards aren't run by a petty shounen without a future. (I haven't seen Vinland Saga) I think I heard Titan S3 won one and so did Dororo. People criticizing the most popular anime/manga in the world in Demon Slayer which is breaking sales records all over the place sound salty. You're just mad a shounen protag had "feelings" and wasn't the classic shounen dipshit protag who runs headfirst into a wall like a stupid infantryman. Tanjiro is the battlefield medic, he's much braver. He heals their emotions. <3 |

| It doesn't look that bad tbh. Even when it's not the one I would have picked, considering how restricted the initial choice was (and sometimes how much potential good picks were left out by the initial choice available), I feel like in most case the final winner were at worst second or third in the list of available choice. Yes I would have put Askelaad for villain instead and so on, but the winners are okay at worst. I've definitely seen way worse list than that. |

| Just reminding you guys the crunchyroll awards had one of the most "promising" form of voting systems where fans were allowed to vote for their favourite choices once every day for the entire voting period. And yes any kind of votes from cheap proxy IPs count too. |

| Overall I thought they were pretty good actually here is my thoughts on every award: Anime of the year: I really disliked demon slayer winning this award the production value was nice on the show but the story wasn't something that personally blew me away. I really wanted Mob Psycho to win also attack on titan season 3 part 2 not even being nominated bugged me. Best Animation: Was surprised Mob won over Demon Slayer but glad it did. Best Protagonist: I agree with the choice here wish Eren was nominated as I think he is becoming a very refined character Best Antagonist: I love vinland saga but honestly I think Isabella works just as well she was terrifying as a character when she needed to and had understandable morals so I wasn't outraged like some. Best Boy: Mob was the real best boy, but also would have loved seeing bruno win for the joke. Best Girl: Didn't watch shield hero so I can't say. Best Director: Was really hoping ikuhara would win this award especially since Sarazanmai didn't win anything but yeah AOT was also extremely well directed I just like how Ikuhara told his story and put everything together. Best Score: I still need to watch Carole and Tuesday Best Fight Scene: Not Surprised, but was really hoping mob would win also I don't think the best jojo fight was even nominated. Best Couple: makes sense Best VA (JP): Really happy jojo won this award all the voice acting in that show is top tier Best VA (EN): Don't watch dubs Best Comedy: Makes sense not a lot of great comedy came out this year Best Fantasy: The world building in this show is done so well I think it deserved the award Best Drama: Glad Vinland at least won something here it deserved it Best Opening: Mob opening a top notch and a love letter to animation as a whole Best Ending: This one had a huge cultural impact so it deserved it, however I would have really liked to see fire forces ed win just because of how good that song is. |
