This was a pretty solid episode, if nothing else I like the decision to have Takmaki battle villains that sort of parallel his own character. Not in the same manner mind you, but clearly Overhaul functioned as their Mirio, and that not only made the episode feel more cohesive, but I like that it essentially lead into the finish. It's a weird thing to say that the villains lost the fight because they were friends with each-other, with Tamaki preventing the guy from eating his friend (and I show called he was going to eat a crystal, so that moment was awesome). My point being that the flashback and eventually victory already makes for an effective character moment for Tamaki, but it comes across even stronger when the villains reflect him too, and the highlighted difference between Overhaul and Mirio's methods to be pretty telling, as Overhaul gave them purpose under him while Mirio gave Tamaki by placing him above.

Eraser's quick takedown of Tabe was probably my favorite moment of the episode though (either that or Tamaki's victory), it was slick and the later reveal of Tabe's ability further shows off Eraser's cunning.

Squidboy's backstory was convoluted asf. I love how the villains constantly explain themselves like a Bond film.

I empathized with him but he kinda weak.

the writers really said 'you get an episode! you get an episode! everyone gets an episode!!' when they decided to feature so many different heroes that we haven't seen fight. and baby amajiki is soooo adorable UWU

i'm liking how this is starting off but i hope mirio is okay since he went ahead. like suneater said, he might do a little too much to get eri so i hope the other will show up in time to back him up.

suneater is a great hero and i'm glad he got this episode to shine and show what he can do when he believes in himself. it's good to see fat gu trust him, too, to take on the three villains at once.

in the fight with the three villains, we got to learn a little about overhaul's organization dynamic and the relationship they have with each other. it's something that suneater couldn't understand, but it was definitely strong and real.

hyped to see the next episode!!!

I liked this episode. It reminded me of many other characters from other series and things:

When I first saw Mirio as a little kid, especially with Mirio's eyes and hair, I instantly thought of Lucas from Super Smash Bros Brawl / EarthBound. Then, in another flashback of Mirio, his jacket reminded me of Ed's from FMA/FMAB and Jotaro's from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for some reason (though it could be a typical type of outfit I guess). Lastly, the way Tamaki's "sandals" (for lack of a better term) look instantly reminded me of Sasuke's "sandals" from specifially his Naruto Shippuden design. I've attached a picture in case anyone else is trying to see the similarities I found:

So we got a little bit of Tamakis backstory and how he met Mirio. I think a lot of people can indentify themselve with Tamakis characteristic. It's definitely more self harm than anything else if you try to be perfect all the time. Nonetheless did he manage he become one of the Big 3 which is amazing.

Irinakas mimikry with that boost is no joke. I was wondering why he was so small but that explains it.

Also these other 3 villains who came to stop Deku and Co. in combination were serious business. It's amazing how Tamaki is able to use his power, especially when you see his chimaera kraken where he combines things he ate. Suneater is an absolute suiting name for him.

The pacing is kinda ass but I like that they're trying to give different side characters more screen time instead of using the same old Bakugou/Todoroki/Iida.

There are many opinions to have on this planet Earth. There's an infinite amount you can have, and no one can say any of them are wrong. Except this one. This is a wrong opinion.

Just compare the 72 episodes of both animes and you will see that they excel at something, HxH(2011) is the best anime in worldbuilding while BNHA is the best anime in characters development, for example BNHA is the only anime on Earth that has a arc that gives character development for over 70 characters!(see season 3)

You can say my opinion is wrong but it can't change the fact that BNHA in like 72 episode give us the better pacing for a wide range of character development and potential characters that will appear in a stronger version in the future(Shindo and Shinso for example) in the world of animes.

Even the worldbuilding of BNHA isnt being so wide like OP or HxH(2011) it is atleast much better than the average shounnen, just remember that Horikoshi is only starting with BNHA, Japan in BNHA is like a introduction for what is coming in the manga!

Bnha has hardly presented a large stellar cast of characters for viewers/readers to follow let alone tell an engaging story . There also doesn't appear to be a clear focus in mind for characterization by the author besides prioritize developing midoriya and bakugo and then proceed to his rinse and repeat process by developing random x or y side characters that enters his mind during whichever x or y arc the author wants to write for next and then drop that random x or y side character for the next arc and move to the next one.The characterization the bnha author has also provided is hardly the best the anime medium has seen as well.

bnha is as substandard generic of a shounen as it can get,it doesn't do anything " plus ultra" besides carry the high production values of studio bones

Suneater biting the bullet by facing against three of the Eight Bullets all at once was a very brave and difficult duty for him to take up and he sure ate up the competition!

Their teamwork was impressive and their reasons for their unbending loyalty to the Hassaikai actually made me feel a bit of sympathy for them but Tamaki was able to use their bonds and their Quirks to his advantage and awesomely kicked ass.

They're all getting closer to saving Eri but there will definitely be a lot more dangerous obstacles on their way further towards their goal.

This was cool. Nice to see Amajiki getting self-confidence. He is powerful that's for sure. Mirio was quite open minded person. This is normal that Amajiki can't become like him. But he has something inside him which tries to find a path. And here he showed that. The villains really had a good teamwork but Amajiki's quick thinking saved him.

Mirio did what he must've. But going like this was a bit reckless. Deku seems weak again. I don't understand him sometimes. He was better than this before. However he better think of something. He is good at making strategies.

Aizawa really can help people with out them knowing at first huh !!! He knocked out that eater guy to help Amajiki and Amajiki figured it out too.

Amajiki was worried about his friend ( Mirio ) that he asked them to help him. Although i couldn't tell if he was asking Midoriya that or in general , I think to Midoriya tho.

Well done he really improved from being a student who was too shy and doubted himself to believing he could do it even tho hes still a bit shy. Amajiki took care of the those guys , he really deserves being in UAs big 3 !!

This time it was Suneater's time to shine. Fight was very shounen-like though. Back and forth and in the end he almost lost but oneshot his enemies.

First big three gets an action and centered episode. Ofc its the gloomy one. Yea that's the handicap for being a good guy hero with no-killing rule. So hard yet satisfying with all the looks on their face when Suneater flip the table. Good one...

Really cool seeing the big basement and Mirio using his quirk, but it stayed a bit too long on Octopus Guy. Even though his quirk is really interesting the right felt a bit long.

Suneater's name is proof that Tamaki wants to eat Mirio up like some tasty seafood. 'Squid boy' wouldn't have sounded as cool huh?
He's so embarassingly cute with his pointy ears, purple hair, extreme shyness and low self esteem (unsurprisingly, he's a Pisces). Rooting for you emo boy.
