How rude. Might be wrong but they don't often make otome anime do they?

This will go straight to my PTW list! It's great seeing more otome game adaptations or just female targeted anime in general that aren't sports, in a boring school setting or BL!!! :D

My Shoujo, Josei and Female targeted anime adaptations starting from 2017+ stacks:

Yeah really sad. It's better we get tons of ecchi anime with big boobed girls instead of anime with actual plots.

Heaven forbid females get some fanservice.

No one's asking you to watch it. Please leave.

I'm really excited for this!! The female lead is actually capable in this one as compared to other otome games. And the harem of boys is really good.

Yeah agreed! Not everyone's a huge bl fan so it's nice to see actual romance aimed at females.

Collar x Malice was a very good otome VN. Hopefully it doesn't get a soulless adaptation like Code:Realize.

I wish I could be excited but game adaptations are so bad in general. I don't even think there's ever even been one good BL game or otome adaptation so this would have to break precedent.

I really enjoyed this game and picked up the fandisc shortly after it was released (though I still have to play it). Unfortunately, while I'm excited to see the characters animated, I can't have any hopes for this. If its one cours, the story will be butchered for sure. If it somehow manages to be two cours, then perhaps it'd be possible to adapt the main mystery/story of each guy's route to at least give a cohesive story, with Ichika finally ending up with Yanagi. More than likely, though, the plot will be half-baked...

Sadly, the only otome game adapt I've ever liked was Amnesia, and that was mainly because I thought the team was creative in joining the completely independent routes into one story. Fingers crossed, but no expectations from this end. If the visuals are at least pleasing (not like the butchering of Norn9), I'll watch it out of curiosity.

I swore to myself I'd never touch another otome game adaptation after Brothers Conflict. I intend to respect that oath.

With Given coming this summer (for once a quality (music) bl story) I sincerely hope the otome genre will also get positive reinforcement with Collar x Malice. After Diabolik lovers (another example of a really good otome game made into a bland 12 episode dumpster fire of an anime adaptation) I have high hopes this won't dissapoint.

Edit: haven't watched Amnesia nor Code;Realize yet so I can't judge on those adaptations.

Cool a Otome adaption!

Have not heard of this otome and I probably won't be able to finish this like the other otome anime adaptions but I am looking forward to checking it out!

Long time no Otomate announcement. Really excited to see this one animated and more otome anime in my lifetime, I hope some can even get sequels. But what happened to Library Cross, Otomate? You are so slow.

What you and Honey mint wrote sums up everything ^^ You guys gave the perfect answer!!

Haven't seen a good Reverse Harem ever since I finished Hanasakeru Seishounen so I'm really excited for this Otome being adapated into an anime. So far it looks and sounds promising!

I knew it! It's going to have an anime! It's my all-time favorite otome game. But I'm not really expecting anything since mostly game anime adaptations are bad, for example: Persona 5. I don't want to be pessimist but this helps to promote the game even more to those who don't know it. :')

I love the game so much, so I'm really excited for this anime! Though I'm really worried it'll end up like every other otome anime adaptation :/ Hopefully this anime will be as good as the game.

I really hope it ends up being good, I find a lot of otome anime lately has been really half a$$ed and from the looks of the voice cast Collar X Malice has a fighting chance to be good.
