Pretty sure that's why Bucciarati called him a "piece of shit." Just like the theme earlier when Prosciutto called Bucciarati a "failure as a Capo" he changed his mind when he saw his resolve. Bucciarati also respected Pesci for his resolve up until the point he abandoned his mission ( him already having his crew and Trish and not leaving ) and went straight for Bucciarati out of pure spite. All respect fot Pesci had been lost, because at that point he lost all resolve to complete the mission.

In the end, like Iluso and Formaggio, he ended up being just another idiot.

I wouldn't call them idiots at all, Formaggio underestimated Narancia's stand mainly because he knew little to nothing about it, how would he know that Narancia was so fucked up to lit the whole street? lol.

So did Illuso as he was battling against 3 stand users (I mean, 3 users of all things, and he almost succeeded) Too bad that he wasn't aware of Giorno's hacking ability lol.

Pesci was already an Idiot, so I'm not going to deny that.

Formaggio could have stayed hidden, be brought to the vineyard by Narancia, and inform his partners about the place. And, since they already use cell phones, how is that Formaggio didn't have one with which he could have informed them about the vineyard when Narancia was trapped into the bottle once he saw the map? He didn't act like a professional assasin, he acted like an idiot.

Iluso could have killed Fugo, which would have made pointless Giorno's plan, go after Abbacchio and kill him, since by what we saw it's clear that he could have done it, take the key, and finally kill Giorno, because we know he could have separated Gold Experience from Giorno. But he died becuase he was just fooling around, so he was an idiot too.

Formaggio couldn't stay hidden, don't you remember how easily Narancia's stand tracked him? Formaggio didn't expect such a formidable stand like Aerosmith. Doing a reckless move like "stay hidden" without knowing what Narancia's stand is capable of doing is way worse. Ep 9 showed them using computers to message each other. Its fair to assume that not everyone has a cellphone. (I remember cellphones being pretty rare and not precisely cheap)

Illuso was trying to save time by letting Fugo alive just to make Abbacchio and Giorno do the search for him (If Fugo were killed, nothing would stop Giorno or Abbachio to retreat and get away from the vineyard while thinking on how to defeat Illuso's Stand). Unfortunately for him, he didn't took in consideration that Abbachio would risk his life just to send his hand with the key back to Giorno. And what if Fugo was killed, and Giorno retreated from the vineyard to a place without mirrors where he could oversee the whole vineyard? There's a lot of possibilities out there you don't know the outcome of.

I'd like to expand more on Illuso's side, but I would be spoiling an important stand on this part.

Don't you remember that Narancia wasn't completely aware about Formaggio being in the car, before Formaggio decided to appear himself? Don't you think that if Narancia had used his stand inside the car when Formaggio was still little in size, what Narancia would have thought is that it was a spider, or an ant? So yes, he could have stayed hidden, but got impatient having the advantage, so he was an idiot in the end.

By the moment Abbacchio was going to look for the key is when Iluso stopped attacking Fugo, but after realizing that one of them was moving he could have killed Fugo anyways, and go for the one who was moving, to finally know what they were looking for, kill them and finally take the key. But he didn't, so again, he ended up with being just ahother idiot.

Haha, I knew you were going to mention that Narancia wasn't completely aware when Formaggio surprised him

Now, I don't think the word Idiot is the best suited for these cases. It's easy to call someone an idiot because he didn't do what we think is the best choice . But what if that "best choice" backfires because we ignore the possibilities that decision will trigger?

Let me add a mundane example, like a Soccer match. Red team had the chance to score multiple times, but failed. In the end some people tend to say that "Oh, if those suckers would have scored all the times they had a chance, They could have won" while ignoring the possibility that, if they did score once, the other team would react based upon what happened instead of letting them score again.

Narancia could have used his stand to make a surveillance, and even if it was a bug, he would have it killed because the less stuff around him the best is for him to notice someone's tailing him.

If fugo was Killed, Giorno could have covered the whole place with tons of plants and make the mirrors useless. (This worked on his favor on Black Sabbath's battle, which stand is kinda similar to that of the mirror)

Something like this would have been better, since it would lead to a more tactical fight, with a result in which Giorno won because he could outsmart Iluso and not just by guessing what Iluso would do. But even in this scenario I think Iluso could have killed Fugo and Abbacchio, with Giorno being the only survivor.

It was an extreme battle that decided who will be the last one hanging on Beach Boy's lifeline and Bruno barely won thanks to his zipper-based abilities. After Prosciutto's fatal injury, Pesci realized that the only person left who can call him a mammoni is himself and his personality evolved on the spot. It was the first time that he finished off another person and it didn't bother him at all. If he had awakened his potential early on, he could've finished them all off before they even realized that there's another threat aside from the Grateful Dead. Bruno even tried to hide his presence in a manner that surpassed even Jotaro's instant heart stop. His body parts being scattered on the floor for so long was a very tense sight and Pesci thankfully pulled the brakes at just the right moment.

Bruno used Pesci's own unbreakable Stand line against him and snapped his neck without hesitation. He survived that fatal attack long enough to experience the first legendary Ari Ari Arrivaderci before getting torn apart by Sticky Fingers.

Definitely the best fight so far, but I'm disappointed that they change some minor details the last minute.

Obvious one was the way the final move with Pesci and Buccellati. In the manga, Pesci actually attempted to go inside the turtle to kill the rest of the gang, rather than actually destroying the turtle.

I get that Buccellati would really need to be fast, but sticky fingers is really really damn fast.

Anyways, we're almost half way there!!! These fights are gonna keep getting more and more intense as we get closer :)

The pacing of the scene where Prosciutto was hanging there by the hook talking about how he underestimated Buccellati was kinda off. I guess it worked for the manga, but not for the anime adaptation.

We have so many highlights in this fight that you cannot help but root for both parties.
Buccellati being able to turn the table on Prosciutto was quite genius. Who’d thought he could take down these 2 tough guys all by himself? The contrast that his body parts were pulled away from his hand on one second and got re-attached afterwards because of the brake was interesting and mood-lifting. Talk about luck in real life.
But at the same time, it’s super hard to watch Prosciutto got stuck in the tracks with his broken body. Even in this situation, he still would love to support & watch over his bro. Such a hot guy with great resolve! He deserves the name of Aniki.
And Pesci as a minor villain having some character developments was also rare to see in Shonen.

Unlike almost everyone above, I’m actually a bit disappointed at Yuichi’s ARIARI (Arrivederci was good tho). Still a big fan of Sugiyama-san’s battle cry.
BTW, why do they cut off the lines of Abbachio, Fugo & No.6 at the end? Those lines are quite hilarious!

Great stand-off, one of the best yet definitely - probably only Josuke's fights are on the same level of creativity. Pesci not ageing(physically) even a bit, while the guy next to him rotted, ruined the immersion to some extent though.

Wow! Definitely the best fight and set of episodes so far in this part. Pesci finally having that bout of confidence and using his stand to it's full potential, exciting! Of course he's not allowed to win though.

Sex Pistols really is one of the best stands too.

And that was supposed to be Bucciarati's battle cry? So weak, I could barely hear it :c

That was utterly EPIC! Fight on both sides presented very high level of action and details. Well done again, David Production!

Bucciarati surely gambled everything, but proved that his resolve can withstand both of his enemies.

Trish seems to have a powerful Stand up in her sleeve.

(ANIKIIII! as shouted by Pesci and Bucciarati's Stand's warcry were the most memorable sounds in this episode, lol)

I mean, I get it that Pesci's ability is actually quite terrifying in Bucciarati's situation. But I still think Prosciutto is the scarier of the two.

Heart stopping. That reminds me of a certain Japanese teenager beating up a bisexual vampire in Egypt. Oh, and also Prosciutto & Pesci's relationship as brothers remind me of the Nijimura brothers back in Morioh. Keicho scolds Okuyasu because he isn't smart enough, while Prosciutto scolds Pesci because he isn't confident enough (along with a whole lot of face holding). I'm guessing Araki really liked the dynamics between the Nijimura brothers so he reused that for this part. Which isn't surprising since from what I've heard, Sex Pistols was exacltly like that for Hol Horse's Emperor.

Damn, this arc has been intense! I can say that this has to be one of my personal favourite fights/arcs in the JoJo franchise so far.

Ok, thinking about it, Bucciarati was quite right about Pesci. That scene where Pesci was defeated was pretty cool!

This was a great and intense little arc. At first i thought that given Pesci character development that maybe he would end up succeeding at kidnapping Trish and thing would develop from there, still the way it ended wasnt bad either. It showed how competent Bucciarati is as a capo. I also liked the dynamic between Prosciutto and Pesci.

That said i still dont know how to feel regarding Mista surviving this (wich i am assuming he will sense his stand stick arround for so long), despite being shot in the head 3 times. Not that i hate the character but this would had been a good conclusion for him plus it wouldnt feel like this whole battle between both gangs is so one-sided.
